Almost four years had the researchers been putting their minds together on this project. The need for materials that lived up to beskar and Phrik had been high demand for a long time. Sanya had hired two people who was apparently good with this sorts of thing. One of them was a mandolorian the other person Jedi. Other than that basic information they where both a bit of an unknown. Two individuals maybe trying to get a name for them selves? Or just people wanting coin for work. Everyone has a story to tell and one to be written. The two of them had been sent details of the project and where to come. Although Luss was a large place and Sanya was eager to see what the employees had.

As she walked into the large room decorated with machine's Sanya watched the people hard at work. A young girl with feline features and white lab coat approached her. "Hello you grace." She said bowing. Sanya never really liked the whole formalities especially in a working environment. But this was an area she rarely visited within the company unless something major popped up. "Hello. Ruri I presume?" Sanya asked wondering if she was the lead developer. "Yes I am."

"The alloy has undergone basic tests the past couple of months and it has surpassed our own expectations. Although with your specific requests at the start we thought it would be best if you did some field testing to make sure it's what you wanted. Hence our specific request for people that aren't us to be brought in." Sanya listened to the girl still confused by the need for others but it was only fair due to her high expectations. "I'm pleased that after all this time the project is this close. I also appreciate you and your teams hard work. Once the project has finniehd you and your team will get an added bonus on top of your salaries. Although I would like you to hold off telling me what tests you have in store for now." Sanya said in response.

Jade kept her distance for a bit and then closed in to greet Master Swift with a gleeful grin. Fidld tests were being spoken of and she was happy to oblige. While most folks knew a lightsaber couldn't produce the heat of sun, which is what they were looking for, they were a benchmark standard.

Having just arrived from Zaadja where they were hard at work stopping a roiling plague she was more than happy for a break. Most of her time had been consumed by studies of the blade and healing. Today she'd hopefully be able to put some of that studying to the test.

"Greetings Master Swift."

She bowed, her raggedy robes swaying in the soft breeze of the air vents.

"I'm hearing you need some field testing done? Not sure what exactly your techs have in mind, but I do have a most interesting idea for a start."

This was it the big leagues. Meran Mechanics were called to test a new alloy.
she had rely just arrived and was almost falling asleep.
"yea hi [member="Jade Whisperwind"] [member="Sanya Val Swift"] im Kami Meran of Meran Mechanics im relay looking forward to testing this stuff. after a nap."
she joked suppressing a yawn.
"Any chance of making this stuff in to a bed?"

Sanya turned to see the Jedi and mandoloian now arriving bringing a smile to her face. "Welcome jade and kami. Thank you both for joining us today. This is Ruri the lead developer in this project, it's thanks to her your both here today." Sanya said introducing them both to the woman. "Hello. Well so I'm not wasting anyones time I will get straight into things. Any questions please hold them till I've gone over the tests you will all be taking part in. As you've all hopefully been told Sanya here requested four years ago for a new compound, one that could not only withstand extreme heat but lightweight and resistant to the lightsaber. So far we have surpassed our own expectations. How you may be thinking. Well the alloy is composed of three elements hafnium, carbon and nitrogen. Packed tightly together the alloy possessed a remarkable high melting point. Three quarters of the heat of what your average yellow sun can give out. With this we immediately knew a saber wouldn't be able to cut through this with a normal slash and stab. It would take a long time for one to pass through a five centimetre thick one meter wide sheet of it."

"To test this we have constructed a vest that is five centimeters thick exactly. Kami been a mandolorian yourself I presume you know how well beakar can withstand heat from sabers. With your permission later we'd like you to put on the vest and well be given a good wack with sabers. Just to be safe our team will make sure these two ladies sabers are at a low output at first. When we get to that I will explain what you should be looking for. The second test will be testing the weight comparison. For this we've set up an obstical course you all will run twice. The first time you all will run with six bars of duranium a common metal used in armor. The second time you will run with six bars of the hafrogen alloy. All the bars are the same size in every way. In this test well be monitoring your speed getting through the obstica course. The third test is a surprise." The woman certainly spoke a lot but she was clear in her words and even said it in a simple way.

"Beskar is and has a ceremonial value i'm sorry to say while i have a Mandalorian iron knife i have never even seen proper Beska. " Kami shyly admitted regretful that she mat have wasted the woman's time.
" My expertise is Mechanics and engineering. " she finnished.

Thinkjing Kami asked a question
" i do have a question. What is this stuff's tensile strength and Resistance to Chemicals? its no good if the thing can survive a lightsaber only to fall apart after i spill a Citric acid on the stuff. " She asked honestly curious.

Jade bowed, acknowledging Sanya and turned to listen. With hands folded she heard the spiel about the heat and the sabers. When Kami began her line of questioning Jade was silent.

Patience beats all...

She wasn't necessarily trying to beat anything, she was simply trying to get to the bottom of this alloy. One benefit of learning Jedi Healing arts was that things were broken down. As she broke down patterns of flesh and the living in the force to rebuild them; she could also breakdown the patterns of solid materials.

While Kami yakked with assistant she let a small smirk cross her face and dropped her head, focusing her attention about the room. As her thought's slipped away she felt the location becoming much clearer. Still with eyes closed she began to walk, until she was just in front of the vests, which laid on glass encased armory racks.

The white noise of hard drives spinning and fans cooling computers fell away. The noise of their voices fell away.

All that remained was Jade and the vest.

Both hands rose now, coming open palmed and shoulder level. They hovered over the glass and she dipped her head a little further.

It was time to analyze...

Ruri looked at the madolorian as she asked her question. "Well kami when it comes to acidic materials and liquids we presume it can handle the basic types. The more stronger types of acid would make the alloy begin to oxidize over time. Your more aggressive acids would corrode slowly eating it away. If we refer to a Ph scale, the alloy can withstand between between ten and four if we go higher or lower than that it would cause a chemical reactions." Sanya began to look baffled confused what Ruri was saying. Well She understood slightly but it was the technical wording that confused her. "Well luckily kami I've had the pleasure of going against beskar and even using it. So I guess I know what to look for."

Sanya would watch jade as the girl inspected the vests inside the glass case. Her feet would carry Sanya over behind the girl with a faint smile. "Don't worry we'll be swinging at that soon." This was Sanya's first time also looking at the vest. It was a simple design and would probably be worth manufacturing at a later date.

Ruri would push through the two unlocking the glass case. With a huff she lifted the vest with her slender arms. "Kami you up for putting this on? Don't worry everyone will get ago been the pinata." Her face would light up with a devilish grin excited to get these tests done. Although it was more entertainment on her behalf. "If so you might want to remove your chest peice and helmet. Unless you want to get stuck." A small giggle would be heard. As for Sanya she knew what she needed to do. "Half power or lower?" Sanya asked. "Quarter to start with."
