Gritty, jaded and direct, the no-nonsense Daven keeps frustration and exhaustion at bay with a steady intake of caf, cigarras and liquor. The man has little life outside of his job. This is not necessarily because he loves his work, or even out of a zealous loyalty to the Corporate Authority. He simply has found himself immersed in the tireless work of thwarting Darkwire. It has become his identity. Solidly confident, Daven is rarely indecisive, and has learned how to discern whether a situation requires immediate action or calls for patience.
One of the reasons Daven is so involved in the task of opposing Darwire is his curious sensitivity to the Force and his ability to employ it for psychometry. The ability doesn't seem to come from any formal training, simply trial and error on Daven's part since childhood. This psychometry has at times given the task force a boon while investigating the operations of Darkwire. Daven sees this advantage as a blessing and a curse, as it has made him valuable asset for CorpSec, but also places heavy expectations on him and his 'power'. Daven adamantly avoids using the word Force when it comes to his ability. This near-denial is thought to come from a fervent aversion to being associated with or compared to Jedi, Sith or any other Force-using group.
In addition, one will find that Daven's moral compass swings wildly. Daven is capable of brutal violence and cold behavior, yet may on occasion demonstrate something close to mercy. This may infer that he struggles internally with deeper questions of meaning and purpose.
Final note, he has a curious adversity to having cybernetic implants.
