Ali Hadrix, Supreme Commander of the Galactic Republic Military
New Holstice Space, Rounding Planetary Curvature

Ali narrowed her eyes as she read the text scrolling at the side of the battlefield display that identified the lone Corvette rushing the Primeval fleet. The attacking force was just now coming into view on her holo; Ali and her forces were preparing to round the curvature of the planet. Weapons range for their standard fare was still a ways off, though the GR fleet would reach long-weapons range momentarily. Activating her commlink, Ali issued a decree to the attacking Corvette.

"New Hope this is Supreme Commander Ali Hadrix of the Arson, you are to break off your attack immediately and join our force at the rear, how copy?" Ali issued the ordered quickly, hoping to keep the Corvette and her crew from sacrificing themselves needlessly. In the meantime, she glanced back at the display, where her fighters and bombers were finalizing their screen formations. She'd brought several brand new A-10 LA-AT Gunships to the fight alongside a force of BTL-S8 K-wing Assault Starfighters. T-70 X-wing and RZ-series A-wing starfighters were deployed ahead of the larger vessels as shields against incoming fighters. For the moment, the starships held loose formations with no real form, they seemed to flit back and forth from one location to another without projecting any real sense of integrity or strength.

The rest of the fleet arrayed itself in a more straightforward and predictable fashion. The Arson deployed at the center of the formation, with the Hammer Master stationed just above it and overlapping to the stern. The Enveloper was deployed directly ahead of the Arson, and Wave Breaker just above it. The formation was tight, offering the vehicles the protection of the C-1 Defender Adaptive Shield Arrays installed on each of them. As the fleet broke across the planet's horizon, the Republic fleet engaged the Primeval with their long-range weaponry.
The Arson was the first to fire on the flagship, dubbed the Primordial, it's foremost heavy dual long-range ion cannons flaring brilliantly, and their blue-white bolts were followed by the angry red of the vessel's similarly damaging long-range turbolasers; the Arson's spearhead design allowed it to contribute 90% of its heaviest long range firepower forward. This volley was followed by four of the vessel's five hypervelocity cannons, pumping out pairs of mass driver rounds at the enemy capital ship.
Ali's smaller vessels targeted the other Primeval ships. The Hammer Master led the attack with its long range heavy ion battery on the first of the Gulandi-class vessels, following with long-reaching turbolaser fire. Enveloper joined the fray as well with its own long range weaponry, focusing its fire upon the same Gulandi, the Shield. Lastly came the Wave Breaker, which only had a single long range turbolaser battery to contribute to the fight at such a distance, but contribute it did with a wave of red fire.

It was now that Orphen's transmission came through, and Ali picked up her commlink quickly after verifying his transponder against GR records. "Copy, Orphen, transmitting positional data now." She signaled her communication's team to complete the transmission, Orphen would soon have everything they needed to get a proper fix on the enemy fleet. "I hope they're packing heat, I'd hate to be sending a fly into fire." She muttered before returning her attention to the battlefield display before her.

The call was given, and the twelve Dominus Sith fighters rumbled to life before roaring out of the Primordial's hanger bay and into the blackness of space. They assumed a relatively loose formation upon initial exit from the warship, but as they turned to round above the topside of the Star Destroyer they tightened up formation and screamed towards the distant Republic fleet. Aside from Skull Leader, Skulls one-through-eleven melded their minds together as they flew in formation, the Dark Side coursing through each and every one of them until they worked as a singular unit rather than eleven independent pilots. Vornskr, as stated earlier, did not meld his mind with the others as his Epicanthix genetic makeup made it literally impossible to do so, but then again he didn't need to meld his mind with several others to be a lethal combatant whether on the ground or in space.

As if on cue the group of Sith fighters suddenly banked out of their original trajectory, narrowly avoiding a hail of turbolaser fire from the nearby Republic corvette that was cruising towards their location. The other Primeval pilots may not fair as well as the Force-enhanced Sith pilots, but Vornskr paid no mind to them and focused instead on the Corvette. They then suddenly dived down through space, pulling up suddenly a short while later and all moving in an attack pattern towards the Corvette's underbelly.

"Concentrate all firepower on a singular point." barked the Sith Lord into his squadron's encrypted channel, and like a well-oiled machine they executed their attack in a glorious simultaneous sequence. Crackling blue lines of energy burst forth from the twelve starfighter's ion cannons while pairs of proton torpedoes launched from their tubes, the ship's advanced targeting computers calculating possible evasion trajectories from the corvette and compensated by leading with their missiles.

They'd soon break away and scramble to regroup for another attack run.

+ Skull Squadron is attacking Cristina's corvette simultaneously with ion cannons and proton torpedoes (two torpedoes per starfighter - 24 total)

"Do it," her eyes remained focused on the fleet they could not see, her words directed in response to the Sith Lord behind you.

Silent streaks of light hit the surface again, again, and again; relentless, and merciless the fire struck the ground in heavy droves. Hope... What hope did they have? Even if a fleet approached, hundreds--no thousands--must've been slaughtered already. Evil? To attack innocents is cruel to many, but their crime is their ignorance to all truths, in death under Balagoth they'd be reborn anew by Halrormalenth. Pity... A useless emotion, it bred jealousy and needless fears.

The enemy's main fleet broke horizon and begun their attack just as the small corvette made it within standard firing range. In a moment as the Primordial's batteries charged up, they stopped. Silently the ship remained as firepower bombarded its heavily shielded and heavily armoured hull. An unfortunate Gulandi-class, in a zealous attempt to protect their host lord, soaked up most the hypervelocity fire and crumbled into shards of smoldering metal.

A smirk crossed the witch's pale lips.

"All preparations are complete, shall we fire?" The synthetic voice boomed thrice across the bridge in resonance of the officers chatter.

"Begin the symphony, if you will...Axe," the unit's nickname. Shortly and without hesitation the Primordial turned to face the fleet, revealing only a slender shape upon sensors. Yet they were wrong to focus on that vessel, foolishly so. Already having powered up during the initial bombardment were the two Time Rift-class star destroyers, capable of emitting advanced cyber and electronic warfare capabilities. Within moments their systems came online and targeted the enemy fleet. Unless they had appropriate firewalls, or two EW ships of their own, their forces would see sensors scrambled, readings falsified, targeting computers jammed, and warheads confused. War was neither fun nor easy, and even as this happened, Anja did not expect the fight to be won just yet.

"Moving into range, I suggest the Time Rift-class' to paint enemy defenses." Another ability of the Time Rift-class was their 'painting' which allowed them to emit jamming signals against enemy defenses, preventing them from attacking the fighter and bomber squadrons appropriately. Although cruder methods remained partially available, assuming they hadn't the countermeasures. This information would have been relayed to Skull Squadron and their following entourage of Primeval squadrons.

Orphen with moments to spare before the sensor arrays were targeted by the cyber warfare units would plot his course, he had seen that there was another Corvette class Cruiser far in front of what would be considered a squadron of elite troops moving at combat speed, quickly approaching in tight formation. It was a bad position for any Corvette to be in, however, Orphen was in a position to help, altering the course of his hyper-drive manually, the boy calculated in a flash his destination, based on the trajectory of the enemy ships and his own, as well as using basic probability theories and tactics of where the enemy would likely attack from. Orphen would have to position himself to either the flank or above the New Hope in order to be of the most assistance... Deciding to go with the flank, Orphen readied himself, it was seconds after he finished inputting the co-ordinates that, in the nick of time that he found himself hitting the Gravity well. The HIMS system of Orphen's ship kicked in, wrapping a protective momentum sustaining bubble around him and his ship allowing him to drop out of hyperspace right where he wanted to be with pinpoint accuracy, via slowing and easing off the bubble...

To the enemy ships, he would literally have appeared out of nowhere...

Weapons primed... Fueled and briefed.

The advanced Radar-lock systems on Orphens ship would begin to target the multiple enemy attackers as he would manually aim his artillery at one of the Gulandi Class Escorts, namely the Sar-Sargoth being the closest to his position. The nearby range of Orphen next to the New Hope a perfect stage for a sudden attack in the few moments his missiles took to lock. The effect of his weapon would be astounding... the primed super-advanced, Chiss maser weapon would light up as the multiple beams, bright as a sun as they united in the opened break at the front of the Lævateinn. The beam taking only moments to charge as Orphen's weapon gloriously took aim and fired in the direction of the heavily armoured escort. Using its full 3 second stream focused into a single location at the nose of the enemy craft to act like a laser drill, intending to rip through the ships' shields and hull indiscriminately with the forward mounted super-laser. Damage would be excessive, as the concussive / thermal laser hybrid would ensure that when it collided with the ship's shields, be they particle or ray shielding, it would pummel the ship with either the physical damage or the thermal damage that the Gulandi's shield was not accustomed to dealing with. This action alone would no doubt overload even some of the most sophisticated shields in the galaxy and allowing the sickly blue capitol class weapon to shread deeply into the ship, and hopefully hit where its ion Core would be situated.

It was at this point that the radar-lock would have surely trained on the fighters which had engaged them, not wanting to expend his diamond boron missiles, the tight formation of the enemy as they approached made it easy to open fire on with the two pods which were primed and already loaded to fire. A barrage of 12 radar-guided concussion missiles would let loose in a deadly barrage of hell-fire, set to collide with the incoming craft as Orphen attempted to secure the escape of the New Hope. Orphen doubted he needed to explain himself and his position as the particle cannons of the fleet behind him came into view... With the republic navy now in ordinance range it would be foolish of the Prime-evil to dedicate any of their capitol guns towards the two lone corvettes.

"Alpha, take control of targeting and shield systems, route shield power to the locations of incoming attacks as scanners pick them up so to save over-all shield power and hopefully we can get out of this in one piece... thirty seconds until Super-Maser is able to fire again... we can make it... Missiles re-loaded... I hope you have a supply ship Ali! I'm gonna need a re-load soon!"

Orphen smiled, looking to his wrist and the DCD which gave a nice affirmative chirp as it began to take active control in piloting Orphens' ship with him, doing exactly as he asked and improvising where it had to. Hitting its maneuvering thrusters, the Lævateinn would hit its breaks, the top of the ship angling up as the corvette span slightly, making an eerily sharp turn for its size class before hitting its main thrusters in an attempt to return to the main fleet, flying in a slight slalom pattern rather than in a straight line. By the time Orphen would get back to the fleet, hopefully he would be able to rendezvous with a bomber squadron of his own, and perhaps attempt to take down some of their supporting craft. the young Jedi hoped that the damage he had done to the fleet already would have been more than sufficient, the advanced weapons in the Lævateinn were some of the epitome of Orphen's own feats of engineering.

"That flagship is moving, keep out of it's line of sight! And get me a lifeform scan, I want to know more about whom we're fighting." Ali ordered as the Gulandi-class vessel exploded after catching one of their waves of fire and the long, spear-head that was the Primeval flagship began turning in the direction of the Republic fleet. Almost nothing was known about the Primeval by the Republic, and that made them many fold more dangerous than they already clearly were.
"Yes ma'am," came the reply as Ali felt the Arson shiver as the engines whirled with life and the vessel began to turn. "Wait for it," Ali demanded, watching the Primeval's flagship continue its slow, lumbering turn. A vessel that large had to build up momentum, and once it gained such velocity would be slow to correcting itself. "Ma'am, two of their vessels just began emitting a series of powerful scrambling signals, they're attempting to jam us, weapons are the focus, defense and offense."
Ali frowned, "When will we be in range?" she asked. The reply was swift, "I can only estimate, but another several hundred kilometers, I guess. We'll be reaching that range very soon." Ali nodded, "Fine, warn me when we do. We've got very little offensive firepower that will be affected by this, but we cannot lend support to our fighters once we reach range of those jamming vessels; our defensive weaponry will be compromised." Ali thought for a quick moment before calling the Weapons crew, but then noticed the large Primeval vessel was just about to reach its firing point.

"Skirt left fourteen degrees, full power!" Ali demanded of the Engineering crew. The Republic fleet's readied engines came suddenly to life and began moving against the Flagship's direction of travel. Any vessel that large with a design that slim was bound to have dedicated forward facing weaponry of some kind, and Ali didn't intend on keeping them in its crosshairs any longer than necessary. Swiftly the Republic fleet crossed the vessel's firing point and began moving beyond it. As they did so, Ali focused her holocam suite in on the massive vessel. From long range it was hard to get a good detailed look, but the flagship was bristling with forward firing cannons. The large, slow vessel would have to stop its movement and reposition itself to get another shot. The Republic fleet began angling to the right once more and moved to half-speed.
"Ma'am, lifeform scan was interrupted by the jamming, but I managed to get readings of one of their jammer vessels and almost half of that flagship." Ali glanced at the Sensor crew leader, who continued her report. "The flagship seems to carry a standard sentient crew of varying races, but the other vessel is devoid of life entirely." Ali nodded and returned her attention to Weapons. "We can avoid that flagship as long as we keep moving, put our firepower into those jamming vessels. Couple ion weaponry with our hypervelocity cannons, follow up with long-range turbolaser fire." Ali was taking her heaviest guns from the heaviest enemy and allocating them for what would normally be considered lower priority targets. But she'd noticed how the Primeval flagship had soaked up her last volley, it wasn't packing a standard deflector shield array. Her fleet's greatest strengths required the proper sensors to operate smoothly, and once they reached the range of those jamming vessels, they'd lose those strengths. Ali had to see them destroyed good and proper before they got close enough. And with automated or droid crews, Ali wasn't about to waste a single turbolaser bolt.
"Array your firing solutions between that nearest jamming vessel, the one we managed to scan, and one of their smaller ships." Ali demanded, "Put the strength of our ion cannons and hypervelocity weaponry into that automated vessel, I want it broken. Place the rest of the fire on one of their support vessels."
And so the Republic fleet opened fire once more, this time on the move. Ali took a message from Orphen and responded with the affirmation that he would have the appropriate access to dock with any of the Republic vessels that could arm him. The Arson coordinated ion cannon fire with the rest of the fleet's ion weaponry, amounting to roughly seventy capital grade ion cannons and batteries. The heavy dual long-range cannons fired first, followed by the rest, which were augmented by the five heavy hypervelocity cannons from the Arson, and the eight standard versions boasted by the Hammer Master. These cannons would prove most affected against vessels lacking strong ray shielding. The Hammer Master began recycling its shields immediately after firing.
As these weapons fired upon the nearest Time Rift-class destroyer, turbolaser fire from the twenty-one heavy long range batteries carried between the fleet's vessels fired last, the Enveloper and Wave Breaker catching some of the action a mere split second behind the rest. For this latest volley, Ali focused their aim upon a single one of the small support vessels as her starfighters continued flitting about ahead of the fleet, itching for their share of the action.

Kurt Meyer

Let Me Push That Button
Kurt held on to Mira as they ran through the length of the hospital.

Their steps were quick, flanked by falling rocks and the loud ring of the alarms that pinged throughout the building. The pilot turned corner after corner, switching his steps on a dime and pulling Mira along with him every single step of the way. Shock, confusion, and more than a little fear dominated her features. Her eyes appeared to be popping out of her head, and her lips were all but in a permanent gape as she marveled at what was going on.

He shifted again suddenly slammed into something solid.

The metal door in front of him thudded as he crashed against it, the switch that rang along the length of it jammed in place.

Kurt let out a curse, his head shaking as he gently pressed Mira back. His leg shot out, his boot striking against the lock of the door. It budged slightly, but did not break. He struck again and again, trying his damnedest to break through the metal with no avail. "Kark."

The word passed his lips as he finished a final strike, realizing the effort was futile.

"Mira." He caught the girls attention, her face full of panic and her eyes full of fear. "Does the hospital have a speeder pad? A place where emergency landings are conducted, probably where it keeps the ambulances."

It wasn't his first choice, hell it wasn't even his fifth, but it was something that he could do. For a moment Mira simply gave him a look of confusion, entanglement really, as if she couldn't believe that he was actually here. It was an odd situation really, at perhaps Kurt was playing more than a bit of the hero. Yet at that moment he didn't particularly care about his actions, only that the two of them got out alive. Eventually Mira nodded, and pointed to the hallway they had passed.

"That way."

"Vessels Identified Ma'am. Republic Warships."
"Well it's about Karking time."
"Receiving Transmission Ma'am from a 'Supreme Commander Ali Hadrix' of the vessel Arson."

"Supreme Commander? Why the Kark is a Supreme Commander out here!?! I didn't request a desk jockey."
It was clear that in the moment the Lieutenant was rather flustered that the fleet that had arrived was being headed by the Supreme Commander. From the sound of it, she was likely new and fresh on the job. An Admiral with field time was much more desired and wanted in that situation. A heavy scoffing sigh escaped her lips as she remained calm and composed.
"Ma'am. Message received. Orders to disengage and join at the rear of the fleet."
"Tell her that we'll disengage and join the rear of the fleet as soon as we don't have an enemy force in front of us blocking the way."
"Ma'am?"
"You heard me."
With a shaking nod and an even shakier hand, the communications officer sent out the rapid burst to the Arson. There was no point in disengaging if she had no clear means out; along with the fact that there was still that damned Interdiction field preventing even the thought of a microjump. As their guns blazed out through the darkness, the contact alarms began to blare.
"Enemy Fighters closing in on the Ventral side of the Vessel Ma'am."
"Incoming Proton Torpedoes and Ion Cannon Fire."
"Return fire! Task our Point Defense Turret with targeting the Torpedoes. See if that Heavy Turbolaser can get a lucky shot off. I want evasive controls to the chair now helmsman!"
"Yes Ma'am!"
The bridge was a flurry of activity as the vessel began to truly fight for its life against the Fighters. It was clear that the larger vessels weren't interested in it, though someone or something was. The Point Defense Turret began to light up as it sent out rapid short bursts. Each aimed at the flight path of the torpedoes, even the heavy turbolaser was letting out a burst here or there in a blind bid at getting lucky.
"Shields to double front, this might sting. Everyone hold on. All stations prepare for evasive maneuvering."
With the command given the Lieutenant quickly dropped herself into her seat. He hands grabbing as the safety harness and pulling them over herself to lock her in place. The crew members all holding on as she nodded before letting out a last nearly silent string of words.
"I hope this works..."
As the words escaped her lips, her finger pressed on the controls in the arm rest of her seat. The entire Corvette lurched forward for a moment before it pitched up; then just as quickly it slammed down as if it were a mammalian ocean species slamming down into the waves after surfacing for air. It's profile was entirely different now as the bow of the vessel faced directly down into the flight path of the fighters.
In that strange moment the ship light up as all of its weapons were brought to bear. In a strange bid of survival she pushed the vessel forward, bringing it into a head long screaming game of chicken in space with the squadron of starfighters. It's weapons firing off bursts aimed at the torpedoes and the starfighters.
"Incoming Ion Cannon Fire Ma'am!"
"Karking Hell! Brace for Impact. I hope these shields hold!"
There wasn't much that could be done against the Ion Cannon fire. Though it was hopeful that at least a few of them would either outright miss due to the vessel's new orientation or that the crew would be able to rapidly repair the damage. Keeping herself focused, she pressed the New Hope forward, the Corvette still barreling head long into Skull Squadron.
A bright flash and a rough shaking marked the strike of the fire blast, followed by another. Catching a quick glimpse of the crewman from the corner of her eye, she saw as a simple station surged with power before the man was thrown to the ground. Two more rushing to pull him out as a small fire burst from the panel.
"Get that fire out! I want all crews on repairs now!"
The New Hope pushed forward, struck a few times, though it was still in fighting condition. Some might call it a limping vessel as it shook once more from another strike, a heavy shake this time as a Proton Torpedo slammed into the forward shields, weakening them just enough in a moment to allow the second to slam high into Dorsal side of the vessel. Tearing open a small storage section and sadly enough resulting in a few crew members being torn out due to the rapid decompression.
"Kark!"

Mind melding wasn't always the most secure method of coordinating simultaneous attacks, while it allowed for devastating efficiency and unity during battle; it also deprived one of their individual thought and ability to separately react to dangers. As the Republic corvette suddenly dove in their direction (the front of the vessel now angled right at the oncoming fighter squadron) many Sith fighters broke formation to escape the oncoming volley of point-defense lasers and larger globules that belched from the ship's turbolaser emplacements. Most managed to avoid the hellstorm, but some were not as lucky as their reflexes were off by a mere microsecond. One of the unlucky fighters screamed in panic before a single line of energy cut through his cockpit and ending his terror as it seared away the entirety of his head. The starfighter then spun out of control before exploding like a star off to the side, bits of shrapnel and charred flesh scattering across the empty void like confetti. The other pilot avoided dying in the same manner, but he lost an entire wing to turbolaser fire and began to awkwardly flop end over end before exploding near the corvette.

Skull Squadron quickly reorganized themselves and split into two groups of five fighters each, circling the limping corvette like a pack of Ithorian razor sharks. They then veer away from the corvette and angle to come back in from two different attack vectors. One group would come in from behind the corvette, laser and ion cannons firing streaks of emerald and cerulean towards the ship's aft while the other group would come in from the ship's stern, firing ion blasts and the launching another wave of torpedoes. The one leading the secondary attack would glow like a blackened flame in the emptiness, the Dark Side clinging to him like a cancer. To anyone with any inkling of Force-Sensitivity would be able to feel the projected waves of hate radiating from his being.

Lost two Sith fighters
Reorganized into two groups of five starfighters
Group 1 is attacking the aft section of the corvette with laser and ion cannons
Group 2 is attacking the stern section of the corvette with ion cannons and proton torpedoes

"Contact! Two fighters down!"

"No time to cheer now, keep focused! We're not out of this yet!"
The Lieutenant felt as the ship shook again, the explosion of the starfighter slamming into the shields from its close proximity. The vessel was pushing forward, and even if the starfighters were Ithorian Razor Sharks; the New Hope wasn't about to be some helpless seal or analog of such an animal. If the vessel was to go down, it would go down swinging to the very last. Perhaps the enemy might find some amusement in that, or even see that not all of the Republic Officers were limp wrists or fops.
"They're coming around for another pass."
"Multiple Proton Torpedoes incoming at the Stern with another volley on Ion Cannon Fire."
"Laser and Ion fire at our Aft."
"Karking Hell, can't they use something other than those damned Ion Cannons!?!"
The Lieutenant leaned back in the seat, her eyes forward as the gunnery crews quickly began to reset their weapons, wheeling them as quickly as they could to aim at the incoming starfighters. The Corvette pushing forward more rapidly in its continuing descent as it; as one could call it, dove straight down.
The rear of the vessel was lighting up once more, the weapons tearing through space in a bid to intercept either starfighter or torpedo. Blue spheres struck into the Stern of the vessel, shaking it as it began to lurch forward; taking another hit from the Ion Cannons.
"Engine 1 is offline, shields are barely holding."
"Just get me enough to get us out of this gravity well!"
"Ma'am!?!"
"Hold on!"
The Lieutenant was pushing the vessel for everything that it had now; sending it screaming through the void of space as its weapons fired off again. The vessel shaking once more before an alarm began to blare. It was clear that something was wrong.
"Dorsal Turbolaser is offline. Hyperdrive is no longer functional!"
"Kark!"
There had gone one of her measures of breaking from this combat before she smirked. Those few whom could see it knew what to expect as they quickly grabbed hold of their consoles. One of them bold enough to even shout it out before the Lieutenant could mutter the words.
"Brace for evasive maneuvers!"
With that the ship suddenly cut its engines, dropping everything except for what one could fall forward momentum just as the vessel shook the shields holding barely, though as the alarm began to blare again, it was apparent that a back portion of the vessel had been torn open. The strikes and concussive force of the explosions is what she was hoping for; feeling it in her bones as the vessel began to pick up its own momentum, though moving in a completely different direction.
The aft of the vessel began to spin, bringing the full side of the vessel into view as another volley of its weapons went tearing into the void. Screaming towards the fighters and the last remaining incoming torpedoes aimed at the vessel. In that moment the Lieutenant quickly slammed the controls, the remaining engines roaring to life as the vessel began to scream through the void once more.
