He was surprised when the Jedi disarmed himself, eyes widened. Whatever he had planned, it would not work; he would make sure of it. Tathra bound across the wide spines of the Dreddikkast, Axe in a single handed grasp as he crossed shot toward the Jedi Knight. Right gauntlet raised in front of him, keeping the projectile wind out of his eyes as he slashed for his torso. Drawing close, the Jedi released his trick. His stomach slammed into his ribs, the air taken out of him as a sudden sickening nausea took hold as the ground gave way, the Dredd curving and fell away as the telekinetic strike sent it out from beneath them.

The Dreddikkast called out as both Jedi and Chieftain entered a freefall.

The Jedi Knight, disappearing from Tathra's view as he swung, narrowly missing his target as he overturned mid-air, flying into a spinning motion out of control. The clouds parted as the city began to enlarge, encircling him again and again. A lethal fall if he did not think quickly. He fought for control, his only hope was the gauntlet. Tathra summoned the power of the Axe, bleeding red as his closed fist of the right gauntlet absorbed the energy of the Axe. He struck it once, trying not to spin and again before spiralling out of control.

He growled at the air, screaming for it to stop fighting him as he struck the gauntlet once more. The energy pulsed, a fountain of yellow energy poured out, materialising in front of him a he crashed into the rooftop - the shield broke as Tathra slammed through the tower - ploughing through ducracrete, metal and bricks through to the other side - falling to a wide raised platform below atop the lower segment of the tower.

Tathra landed on his feet, joints burning.

Skajin var Imret had done his research. Specifically, when he set out to take his revenge, he'd understood that committing to the Dark Side meant rage would sometimes overpower his better judgment. He'd set himself a comparable commitment, one he'd often broken: to prioritize survival over vengeance. Today - bruised and battered, snagged between shifting chitin and a broken skyscraper, body shaking from a full-blown heart attack he'd just barely defeated - he knew he'd have to put rage aside. For now, for now...this particular enemy was too much for him.

When Primarch Drek'ma Primarch Drek'ma narrowed in on Skajin's location, the Kubaz academic was gone.

OOC/ Thanks for a great liddle fight.

Weyland didn't feel much as he fell, dropping through the air. He couldn't find Tathra, he could feel him though. The Jedi Knight allowed the force to flow through him, guiding his movement as he was drawn towards a particular building. The ground came under his feet quickly, telekinesis allowing him a slightly softer landing.

Softer being the operative word, Weyland landed on his side - crashing through a stack of pallets and rolling onto his stomach. Gargled worlds comparing to ouch and a few trandoshan cuss words. Luckily, his foe wasn't on this exact rooftop. Cybernetic eyes scanned the area, no heat signatures. Not up here. But there was a clear sign of something, the tower wall had been turned into a crater, something had barrelled threw to the below.

The Jedi propped himself up, Lightsaber and Shield in opposite arms as he leapt up the wall, climbing over the tippy top of the tower to look down at the lower half. There he was. His heart leapt in his chest as Tathra rose, dazed but seemingly unharmed. He leapt down.

"I had half hoped the fall killed you. But I knew better."

By the time Drek'ma made his way to where the Kubaz had lay, it was gone. His first instinct was to look below, the mess the Kubaz had fallen into was torn. He looked down, too high up to see a body. But he didn't feel the Kubaz either, it was a even chance as to whether the assassin had ran or fell to his unceremonious death.

Either way, it was of little importance. The kubaz assassin was gone, for now. Drek'ma felt the poison still, burning inside. He needed the assistance of the Ashaka. Dubrava was all but crumbling into the dirt around them.

He needed an extraction.

[And thank you, insect man.]

His senses were on high alert, ears prickling at the sound of a gush of air. Tathra turned around, the Jedi was standing a dozen metres away from him. Tathra could not see his face, but he recognised his voice. He had been at Hrothgar, and they had failed there too. He did not know what hope this lone fool believed he had, but it would not last long. He wanted a fight, Tathra would give him one.

Tathra took the Axe into both hands, aiming it downward.

"You failed at Hrothgar. You'll die here." It wasn't posed as a threat, nor did it stem for arrogance. Or, so he thought.

To Tathra it was a certainty, a predetermined calculus with only one outcome. The Axe's blade bled red vapour into the air as a shimmer of red energy would grapple round the Jedi, and yank him toward the Titan. The pull would draw the Jedi to him like a magnet, and when he reached him Tathra would punt him into the ground with the shaft of the Axe.

Weyland was caught off guard when something telekinetically grasped him. What? That'd never happened before, Tathra had never used an ability like that before. It took him by surprise as he was yanked across the distance between them at incredible speed. But luckily for him, he had a Shield to protect himself from whatever the Titan threw at him.

Weyland put the shield between them as Tathra shoved the Axe into his torso. Weyland fell, rolling on his knees upright beside the Titan. Weyland turned into a spinning strike with his lightsaber toward the Titan's waist, moving under his Axe.

The Jedi recovered far quicker than he expected, rising with a blow to his side. Tathra released the Axe from his left hand, allowing his right to rise and bring the Axe swinging down like a pendulum to meet the saber. He didn't want to just kill the Strike team member, but he would take a trophy of him as well.

Make an example, of him.

Bringing his left foot close to the Jedi Knight as his right foot slid back, right shoulder yanking backward as he turned his right hand outward; shifting the hook of the Axe's blade outward, pulling the saber upward as his dominant hand grasped the lower-length, thrusting it toward the Jedi's stomach.

The Axe came quicker than anticipated, completely blocking his strike; knelt on his right knee he found himself in a particularly vulnerable position. Fear filling his body as Tathra moved with masterful precision, to gut Weyland like a fish. Had he made a mistake in coming alone? Perhaps, but all the same he was doing what others would not. Sure, you could wait until the Chieftain came knocking with his horde and fight him on your own turf. But trillions were dying in the interim, and no Jedi. No sword, no silver, no shield was doing a damn thing about.

The fear turned to determination as he pushed himself up, right leg and left foot propelling himself upward. He brought his left arm across his chest, using it to not only block but bypass the thrust of the Axe; the vibration absorbent shield allowing him to use the weight against the Chieftain; pushing himself to the left. Pulling his saber upward and with the flick of his wrist swinging the staff saber for the brutes neck.

As much as this was about any other innocent, it was about revenge. It was about making him pay for all the Jedi he had killed. For all the more he would. All it would take was one decisive blow, that was all he needed.

Tathra released his right handed grip, left hand pulling the Axe back as he turned on the ball of right foot; stepping forward slightly with his left. The Jedi was quick, using his Staff-saber to cover the distance with immense speed. Tathra leaned back, pulling his torso back as the black gauntlet was raised to meet it, the blue blade struck against his wrist; hand pushing the saber down in a semi-circular arch.

The shield could clearly redirect or protect the Jedi from glancing blows. He needed to apply pressure and remove it from the equation. The Titan sidestepped; pulling the Axe back with his left arm and thrusting at a downward angle over the shield to take the Jedi's head clean off.
