DESCRIPTION
To the Mandalorian, their armor is their life. For the warriors of Mandalore, their armor becomes an extension of themselves, like a second skin, which is as familiar to them as any home or loved one. Over the years, Deram Carid has had several armor variants, with each one updated to fit with the times. Being a combat veteran for his people, the need to modify and adapt to new weaponry is key to survival. Knowing that his armor was once again getting old, lacking a lot of systems most younger Mandalorians were using, Deram approached some Mandalorian blacksmiths located on Concordia, where he commissioned a personalized beskar'gam. The smiths took to task, noting Deram's physical stature and strength, deciding to make the armor a heavy variant that allowed for a higher resistance rating than medium or light versions.
The main armor plating was composed of master-crafted and decorated beskar, the smiths even managing to adjust the ores colorization for that extra flourish. In a bout of genius, the smiths crafted a custom helmet that had two modes; the first was the standard transparisteel t-visor over the face, but when combat mode was enabled, several face-plates slid into place that protected the visor (using the intricate HUD systems within to see the surroundings). The suit underlay was composed of armorweave, offering blaster fire dissipation and some reinforcement to the exposed areas of the body; also throughout the suit is a layer of silicar, which offers high resistance from kinetic/sonic impact, electrical sources, corrosive sources and extreme temperatures. Finally, reflec coating was applied to the armor, which allowed it to bypass sensors by warping electromagnetic signals. When the basis for the armor was in place, the blacksmiths suggested seeking out Kaine Australis - or more specifically his company, MandalArms - which would be able to handle the rest of the armament process.
Deram was familiar with Kaine, having served with the old General numerous times over the decades in various wars and crusades. Because of that old friendship, MandalArms completely fitted out the new beskar'gam, applying the latest sensor suites and scanners in the helmet, advanced gauntlet weapons and gadgets, as well as several contingency and practicality devices on a battle harness and utility belt. The result was a fully equipped Mandalorian combat armor, able to offer high protection, high versatility and uncompromising battlefield application - even if it was a little heavy, and had to maintain consistent use of power packs. And as far as Deram was concerned, the armor was exactly what he needed to bring hell to the enemies of Mandalore...
Strengths:

- Focused Heat: Even beskar plate is vulnerable to repeated heat in the same spot, such as blasterfire
- Segments: Not every portion of the body can be protected, resulting in joints that are more vulnerable to damage or injury
- Silicar Gone: Excessive damage can result in the bonded silicar layer breaking down, which leaves it unable to reform in battle, and lessens overall resistances it otherwise adds; this is impossible to replace during combat, and must be done so outside of battle to be functional again
