SETTING INFORMATION
City Name:
Den Velmor
Classification: Metropolis
Location: Velmor
Affiliation: The Velmorian nobility
Population: Moderate
Demographics:
Velmorians (humans)
Velmoc
Wealth: Medium as over the years the city and planet have not seen much trouble with the nobility keeping them fairly stable
Stability: Medium although most people are happy being law abiding citizens there are some among them who wish to overthrow the current monarchy and become some sort of democracy. Most outsiders are safe if they aren’t tied to the nobility otherwise if they are they can be expected to receive random attacks of thrown objects unless they are in a group.
Freedom & Oppression: The people are mostly free but there is a heavy feel of oppression towards anyone who despises the monarchy as police raids are taken out against any suspects of non-monarchical- leanings. This many are in fear of the current monarch and are beginning to lean more towards what the rebels want of a democracy.
Description: A metropolis filled with skyscrapers right in the center of this city appears to be a fairly modernist looking castle with yellow banners flying depicting the current royal family’s banner. There also appears to be a substantial amount of police patrolling the city.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
This city was built shortly after the Velmorians landed on the planet, becoming their first colony and was also the first city to begin their long history with the planet's native Velmoc insectoid people. It has always been the seat of power for the rulers of Velmor. Which the people of Velmor have always been quite happy about.

During the time of the rebel alliance and the galactic empire there was a lot of treason occurring in the royal family with the empire trying to interfere ending with the prince who was in support of the rebellion winning out and the planet supporting the rebel alliance. This was a great overturn and brought the world and city into a golden age where the city went from a town to a metropolis under the new republic even surviving the vong wars without too much trouble.

Sometime after the gulag Plague the current royal family came into power. Some think it was through some great power play others that the old lineage simply died out leaving them to be voted in. Either way the change was a welcome one up until recently. About two years ago many of the newer ideas began influencing the public with many seeing that democracies allowed the people more freedom than their current system and king did. They held a talk with the king where all members of the diplomacy backers went missing and were later found dead thus the organisation went underground and have been slowly gathering support to overthrow the king at some point in the near future.
