OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Crucival has long been a fractured world, shaped by centuries of internal conflict between rival sects and factions and ideological movements. These divisions frequently erupted into prolonged civil wars, preventing the formation of a stable, unified government.
The arrival of the Imperial Confederation marked a turning point, as it imposed control over the planet and suppressed much of the internal fighting. While this occupation brought a degree of peace and centralized authority, it was enforced through military dominance and political repression, fostering resentment among large portions of the population.
Over time, resistance movements began to form, the most prominent being the Opaline Creed, a powerful ideological and religious faction. Through coordinated efforts, the Creed launched Operation Wings of Liberty, a major uprising that ultimately overthrew the Confederation-backed regime and ended its rule over Crucival.
In the aftermath, the Creed and its allies established a new government - the Democratic Republic of Crucival. However, the victory did not resolve the world's deep-rooted divisions. Old sectarian tensions resurfaced, competing factions struggled for influence, and remnants of the Imperial presence continued to destabilize the region. Today, Crucival remains politically fragile, with its history of conflict still shaping its uncertain future.

- Capital: Templemarch
- Notable Assets: (in order of importance/quantity)
- Strategic Location: It serves as the crossroads between the Auril and Instrop sectors, making it a key point for traffic between both sectors and thus a key logistical and trade bridge between both sectors.
- Spice
- Agricultural Land: Possesses a strong culture in producing foodstuffs and enough arable land to export.
- Tibanna Gas Reserves: While not in such great abundance to be an intergalactic player, it has enough reserves, more than half of which are still untapped, to be regarded as important in its small area of space and at least be considered as an alternative for tibanna if there are tibanna deficits in star systems.
- Rare Metals: Particularly of the kind used in the production of blaster and laser weapons and tech, but like tibanna most of these are untapped and their quantity isnt substantial to play a key galactic role.

- Government Stability: Low: Crucival has long been a world shaped by civil wars. The occupation by the Imperial Confederation brought a period of relative peace and order. However, after the success of the Opaline Creed's Operation Wings of Liberty, which overthrew the regime, instability returned. The government now struggles with deep-rooted sectarian divisions that frequently threaten to erupt into conflict. In addition, remnants of the Imperial forces continue to cause disruption, while hardline extremist factions within the Creed create further tension. As a result, the government is still considered to have low stability.
- Wealth: Low: You probably guessed by now that the government/world's wealth potential is high, however currently it is low due to mainly the below reasons:
- War-Torn Infrastructure
Years of civil war have left cities, spaceports, and industrial zones in ruins, limiting production and trade across the system. - Fragmented Territorial Control
Not all regions are fully under government authority, with rival factions and militias controlling key resource areas and trade routes, reducing state revenue. - Trade Isolation
Due to its political situation, Crucival has largely remained a backwater Old Tionese colony with limited access to interstellar markets, investment, and financial systems. - Security Instability and Insurgent Activity
Ongoing attacks from Imperial remnants and sectarian strife between Crucival's factions disrupt commerce and force resources to be diverted into security instead of development.
- War-Torn Infrastructure
- Freedom & Oppression: Crucival has limited freedoms, with the government enforcing strict control to maintain order after years of conflict. Authority is centralized, and security forces are highly visible. While daily life continues and political expression and independent activity are not suppressed, the trauma of Imperial occupation still keeps people slightly cautious and afraid. However, pro-Imperial sentiment is heavily monitored and suppressed.
- Imports: Medical supplies, refined tibanna gas, industrial machinery, starship parts, consumer goods, durasteel, and electronics.
- Exports: Raw ores, scrap metal, low-grade tibanna gas, agricultural products and salvaged Imperial-era equipment.
- Military Strength Rating: High: This comes with a notable asterisk. It is not a superpower, its military is not capable of conquering worlds, but I've indicated High rating due to the military's tenacity to resist occupation, solid experience of constant war, and expertise to fight long guerrilla campaigns against foreign intrusions.
- Military Force Name: Crucivali Armed Forces
- Military Force: The core of the military force is the Opaline Creed's paramilitary wing, the Opaline Fedaykin, while all the rest are the integrated armed wings of other Crucival factions that were integrated upon the Creed's liberation of the world from Imperial occupation.
- Military Role: Crucival's military plays a central role in maintaining internal stability rather than projecting external power. It is heavily involved in policing, counterinsurgency, and securing key cities, spaceports, and the world's trade routes. With ongoing threats from Imperial remnants and the tentative peace that exists, the military is essential for keeping order. Recruitment is steady, often driven by economic necessity, and forces are frequently deployed alongside internal security services, blurring the line between army and police.
- Military Installations: No Codex nor Canon submissions, but just to list some ideas:
- Repurposed Imperial garrisons
- Underground resistance networks converted into bases
- Mobile command hubs
- Fortified urban strongpoints
- Other default military installations that basic militaries would be expected to have.
