[SIZE=10pt]A long range weapon system designed to take out targets with extreme prejudice. This weapon system is capable of taking out aircraft, vehicles and personnel with a velocity rating of 948 meters per second. This type of rating allows penetration of lighter armored vehicles, combined with the HEIAP rounds increases penetration capabilities. If utilizes against Lightsabers or individuals with unique abilities such as the Force, it is capable of creating an impact that can be concussive and send the individual off their feet, as tested on the Republic Proving Grounds on Anaxes. One of the limited weaknesses to the long-range system is that the weapon system cannot be fired in rapid succession or it will significantly decrease the accuracy of the rifle and potentially overheat it. This is not a design flaw but one that when tested, it was discovered that if fired in rapid succession (3-4 bullets in a row) the barreling becomes unstable, thus decreasing the next shot for 45 to 60 seconds. This is critical in combat situations or situations where accuracy counts. A significant strength of this weapon is its accuracy, distance and ability to pack a punch when needed.[/SIZE]
