A few days after the Gala on Gilaria, a message arrived on Colette’s datapad:

Hey Colette, it’s Aoi.

Unfortunately, this isn’t quite the casual call you may have been expecting.

I need help.

Suffice to say? It’s to do with the situation that had me leave that gala a few days ago. Don’t know how much I should say through messages, but well…

How soon could you be at Janix?

Aoi had let out a sigh of relief when Colette had replied. She was admittedly unsure if the quartermaster would’ve even been available. With everything going on in the galaxy, it wouldn’t have surprised her if Colette had said she was too busy. But fortunately, it seemed Aoi had reached out at just the right time.

It took another day for the Jedi Knight to arrive, but it gave Aoi a bit more time to scout and gather information. She just hoped this whole thing could be resolved with a minimal amount of headaches.

Their meeting point was just outside the star-port of Janix City. Aoi was a far cry from the glammed up businesswoman at the Gala. Gone was the dress and fancy hairdo, replaced with a matching leather jacket and pants, combat boots, and mess of dark hair tied into a ponytail.

What was potentially more eye-catching however, was the highly customised speeder bike that the Atrisian was leaning against. There was some semblance of what the original model was, but it was clear the owner had gone to hadn’t been shy on removing, replacing or modifying parts.

Another day outside the temple. Aoi might have been out of the dress she had worn the last time they saw each other, but so was Colette. Formal robes only really got you so far when it came to practical uses and such.

"Hello?" Colette called out as she stepped into the shop. "Aoi?"

The workshop was clean, and more than that most of it seemed far beyond Colette's own capabilities. She knew how to troubleshoot a hoverpad's control panel but that was about it. To see all these bikes and car parts and other mythical contraptions just confused her.

"Oh, there you are." She said after rounding a corner to see the mechanic in her more natural state. "I came as soon as I had time."

"You never mentioned what exactly this was about, so…"

The Atrisian’s eyes lit up when she heard Colette’s voice, more so when she came into view. For a moment there was a temptation to push away from the bike and greet the Jedi properly. But Aoi refrained, instead offering her a smile, as her eyes took in her appearance.

I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised that she dressed practically.

And it is appreciated, honestly I wasn’t sure if you’d even be able to, figured you’d be up to your neck in Jedi business.

I really didn’t know who else I could call to help with this…

Aoi let out a sigh, her gaze lingering out towards Janix City proper.

We ordered a shipment of parts about a week and a half ago. Roughly a day before the gala, we got word that they would finally be transported. Due to the value of the cargo, we made sure to have it tracked.” Aoi paused, her eyes falling back onto Colette. “Only put the signal to disappear completely as it passed through the star system here. We knew the model and registration of the transport; allowed us to track it down to Janix specifically. But now the trail has gone cold…

Which is why I sent you that message, asking for help. To hopefully track down the stolen cargo, and potentially help deal with the culprits.
