Delaya

Draco wasn't as nervous as Faith, but then again he had only been to Delaya once and though he understood the necessarily part it played in Alderaan's economy, he did not feel worried about the meeting with the governor. Delaya needed Alderaan just as much as Alderaan needed Delaya. Delaya lacked the security, luxuries, and technologies that Alderaan provided and for centuries had been a vassal to the monarchy of Alderaan. A few years under its own management during the time of the Republic's reign would not change public opinion too hastily.

"He won't like losing some of the power and autonomy he has recently enjoyed. But, I'm sure you will convince him that he needs us as much as we need him. Alderaan controls the security and trade through the system, his enterprises prosper better labelled as Alderaani, and you have a way of getting what you want." Draco grinned at her, his hand enveloping hers and squeezing gently to reassure her. She wouldn't use force, probably wouldn't even consider strong arming the governor with tariffs or embargoes even though both of those were available tools at her disposal. What she would be likely to use was the dangling of the carrot before the provincial governor to agree to her terms.

"Remember Alderaan Engineering and ArmaTech are both alligned with the Royal family. He could benefit greatly from adding those two very large corporate powers to his industry. His people suffer from pollution that Alderaan Engineering can clean up in a joint venture he and the royal house get to take credit for, increase his popularity with his citizens. Plus you can always offer him a title and land on Alderaan if you really want to." Not bad options, though that would still be considered a step down from his current place in the food chain. Faith just had to make it seem appetizing to accept the lessened authority for something else.

She smiled her appreciation of his support. "I will remember that we are a small but we are aligned with some of the larger groups in the galaxy and it benefits him no matter what. I am going to offer him something and hope he takes it giving us back Delaya and riding us outsiders running our system once and for all. " what had been done in the past that she did not like she could fix now.

Delaya would once again be under Alderaan's control and the citizens would enjoy the benefit of being a citizen of the Coalition. businesses would thrive within the Coalition and she would make sure of it.

"We need to have a meeting of all representatives within the Coalition, let us put down some contracts to support one another. And let us find customers for those in the Coalition. They came to us to be free of others, so far they have that, but now we must help them grow. Help them expand their trade. I will contact the ORC and see if we can meet. There has to be something we can offer."

Faith was taking a lot she laughed, "All my thoughts come out all at once and I sound like someone with no direction." She leaned over on Draco, "We will be home tonight, its just a small flight over. I want to see the children too. I feel like its been forever since we were family."

The traveling did it wore her out she was ready for a vacation.

Draco rested his head against Faith's shoulder. "Yes it does. It feels like its been forever since we had both the children together for dinner. Feels like its been months since I had you to myself, not distracted by something else." They lived a blessed life, both of them were financially very well off, both of them enjoyed a luxurious lifestyle on Alderaan, and they were both respected by the people they governed. The downside was of course that they often had difficult schedules, Faith far more than he. He had minimal duties in regards to ArmaTech or his clan, both were largely autonomous and had interim leadership handling the day to day operations.

The vehicle pulled to a stop before the Government Plaza, a valet in a short red skirt suit waiting to escort the Royal Couple through the building and to their appointment. Draco adopted a more formal posture beside Faith, but his grip around her waist was still tight, still clinging possessively to his Princess. He would have preferred to stay in bed, to sleep in quietly and peacefully. What use was the retired warrior going to be in a meeting of politicians, in a diplomatic venture? Then again, Faith had wanted him to accompany her for whatever reason and that was enough for him to attend, even if he felt useless in this type of situation.

The building was bland, faceless duracrete and plasteel walls, little ornamentation or decoration. The halls were only as wide and as tall as regulation required them to be. At the end of the long corridor there was a single door, slowly approaching the royal couple and their guide.

Faith leaned on Draco for a moment and just as quickly the moment passed and once again duty was calling. She looked out at the building it was cold a lot like many of the other places on Delaya. Delaya was not as beautiful as Alderaan and that was from a history of using Delaya to house all of the commerce and companies that did not fit into the Alderaan style of life.

"Dinner with the family when we get back. WE need to remember we are family. We are nothing without each other." She kissed his cheek, "What's his name again I can't remember Irani something..this is bad.." It was a sign she was tired they had not yet left the transport.

She looked down as she collected her thoughts, "ok...Let's go meet the governor of Delaya." She inched towards the door and slowly got out heading inside. She noted the ceilings, the doors, the long hall it was...polished, clean and very sterile. It needed color, something cheery maybe.

The door had no texture, no personality it was just a door. Faith looked at Draco and then to their guide. "Makes you want to go inside doesn't it"

Faith reached for the door to push it open, it moved easily and stayed open once she released it.

"hello" she whispered as she poked her head in, looking around.
