Dear Shadow Empire

Breanna walked with Rex the flow of her pink translucent gown wrapped around her gently giving no hint to what her form was beneath the opalescent shimmers that wavered as she walked. Everything it seemed had gone very well, and nothing so far out of the ordinary had happened to distract this transaction.

Yet, there was an underlying tension that she could not put her finger on, what was it that was putting them all on edge, was it the unknown or was it a lack of trust between them. Only time would show where this was going.

Fable shifted uncomfortably as her progenitor oversaw the unloading of her various goods and sundry. Surrounded by so many people, most of them armed, the slight, young Force adept was naturally ill-at-ease. How was she to protect her creator, when so many people looked to be so very capable of not only destroying her, but doing so as a mere afterthought?

Keeping her hands in her pockets - and respectably far from the saber on her waist - Fable shifted her weight uncomfortably from foot to foot while Rave did her necessary business. Opening her mouth would only ruin things for everyone.

"I believe your deckhands were quite careful, thank you," she said to Ice, shooting a glance at Fable. A small part of her, a very small part (limited by apathy, not some quasi-Sith repression of positivity) felt bad about dragging the girl along on so many errands that had to be fundamentally boring. But this was business with Empires, and Fable was her ace in the hole. Rave could do what Rave could do, and people expected most of that; apart from alchemy, her skillset was fairly predictable. Nobody expected the waif to punch through their collective sternum, if necessary.

"Alright. The first thing we should demonstrate is the clothing. I'm wearing a terentatek-hide duster over a tikulini-hide singlet. Observe." She held up both arms, hands empty, and a charge of lightning built around her left hand. It snapped out in an arc whose other point of contact was her right forearm. The coat was undamaged apart from a slight scorching, and she felt nary a shock.

"Terentatek-hide, properly alchemized, will reduce the impact of most offensive Force powers. As for the tikulini hide..." She pulled a lightsabre, pointed the blade emitter at her heart, and depressed the activator for a moment. The blade punched her, and hard, but didn't go through; only a faint scorch-mark remained. "Properly alchemized, it'll work as well as light phrik, with far higher flexibility.

"Now let's move on to the creatures. On your left you'll see one of Palpatine's warbeasts - not an original, but an AEL replica, fully functional. That's a chrysalide rancor, capable of defeating massive war droids and walkers using only teeth and claws. There was an incident on Balmorra several centuries back -- a war of Imperial remnants. Each used increasingly powerful combat technology to one-up the other, but the chrysalides proved the ultimate trump card.

"Next to the right, you'll see a terentatek. Same size, less of an anti-armor platform and more useful against Jedi and enemy Forcers. The Jedi Order once embarked on a Great Hunt to kill all the terentateks; the terentateks won. AEL farms them," she said with great satisfaction. "Highly Force-resistant, capable of facing off against Masters.

"Next in line, a little smaller but still massing about four times your average humanoid, we have a storm beast. The muzzle is for your protection. They're living sonic weapons, believed to be extinct five thousand years ago when Malachor fell, but AEL has procured a proprietary source of them, heretofore undiscovered.

"Next in line, you see a Sith tracker bug. It's a starship tracking beacon, but biological, meaning it doesn't show up on the same kinds of close scans as a normal beacon. It winds up looking, on sensors, a lot like a harmless mynock larva.

"Next you'll see pelko bugs, also excellent for use against Force-wielders. They're swarm creatures that home in on Forcers, and their bite brings crippling pain.

"And finally, this is an ancient Sith warbird. Immensely durable, redundant internal structure, can be made to hibernate for transport -- the Sith used these as mounts, walker equivalents. This is one of our specialty products, a new development; we've been working hard on re-creating them, and we've never offered them on sale before now. Probably the greatest Dark Lord in history conquered a good portion of the galaxy using these. I can guarantee you a very good discount on the warbirds."
