Marius has never been a man of technology, a barbarian by heritage and way of life he never was able to fully comprehend the technology that was available in the galaxy, including droids. Being one of the Templars sent to investigate this obviously empty of life forms Confederate ship stranded in the middle of space, he and the rest of the investigation party were surprised by massive flock of murderous droids that's goal was to fully obliterate to pieces those that had blood and flesh. Where did they come from ? Marius could not answer. He only knew they were an abomination that needed to be dealt with for the sake of the Confederacy.
After fleeing from the droids, the team had stopped at one point where no droid sounds and especially their terryfying screams could be heard. It seemed they had already lost some good man, specifically those of the Dread Guard. The Dread Guard, a battallion composed solely of clones, was something that Marius found hard to believe, and had mixed feelings for, in his culture he believed this as being black magic, heresy but he did not blame the clones, nor he felt any disgust towards them, quite the opposite - Marius believed the clones were quite capable soldiers, he had once heard that 'their sole reason of existence was to fight' which he found resembling the Way of the Children of Teres - his cultural belonging.
What Marius could understand from this mission was that they had to recover some sort of a blackbox on this ship, a knight of the Templar Order seemed to be the leading figure of this party and Marius gladly followed his orders. By what he was told earlier before the mission his name was Ser Krest. He stood amongst the Dread Guard waiting for their next course of action.
