Days Of Our Lives, Now On SWRP - We Know Drama

Sera awoke groggily from her rather pleasant slumber in her home on Phindar. Her dream of spending a day with that suave and sexy Dr. Drake Ramoray had finally floated into her subconscious, only to be ripped away by the sound of her alarm that she could have sworn she had shut off the night before. Drat! I was so close! She thought, stretching arms and legs as a tired yawn escaped her lips. Leaning over to the end-table just beside her bed, she lifted up the remote control and flicked on the HoloTube. The light from the terminal cast a momentary blindness into her eyes as she adjusted to the brightness. Jingle bells and false snow adorned her bedroom as was appropriate for the season.

To her surprise, none of the normal festive videos could be seen on any of the channels. What? What is going on here? I demand they play [member="Corvus Raaf"] and the 31 days of sweaters! Or at the very least, The Drunken Elf, starring [member="Julius Sedaire"]. She had to get to the bottom of this travesty. Flicking her way to the news channels she discovered reports of the Republic being taken over by...Clones? Was this some sort of gag for the holiday? Then shortly after an announcement by some foreign shipwright declared their abortion of the government, as if they were some kind of corporate sponsor pulling the plug on a celebrity caught in a scandal. It was at least good to see that such contracts could be so easily terminated, and all ships being somehow magically recalled from whence they came. Sera didn't think that was how sales of million credit starships worked. When did a company garner the right to play take-backsies with products they sold?

She shrugged. It made no difference to her. A small laugh escaped the Twi'lek's lips. She had no affiliation with the Republic or the Jedi Order any longer, and so the drama that unfolded surrounding the government and their corporate sponsors had no direct influence over her. She did find it poorly timed however. Right during the holiday season, and now it seemed all of her favorite shows were cancelled to cover this nonsense! What a disgrace. She clicked up on the remote until she found some late night reruns of Days of Our Lives.
