Eriadu

Things were strange.

Eriadu was much like how she had always imagined Coruscant as a child. Huge, expansive, a seemingly unending city that stretched for miles upon miles. The place was filled with billions of people, each living their own lives, each moving about in ignorance of what was going on around them. This place was somewhat of an economic center, a powerful pull for politicians, business men, and of course; Criminals.

That was why Aela was here.

This wasn't her usual place...or rather, it hadn't been.

For the longest time she'd been recognized as one of the Jedi always on the front lines, the Vanguard. The one that would go in first and fight until there was no more fighting to be done. It was a roll that she played well, one that she had been accustomed to, but now? Now things were different. Coruscant had changed her, perhaps for the better. She didn't want to fight anymore, not in the same way that she had.

The simple truth was that Aela was tired, tired of fighting, tired of arguing, simply tired, but not tired enough to stop, not yet. That was why she was here on Eriadu, why she had been one of the few Jedi to join the new Strategic Intelligence Service. She had done this kind of work before, briefly anyway with Jacen and Adder. It was something she remembered quite fondly despite the turmoil they'd experienced. "He just entered the club."

Aela said the words quietly into the collar of her coat, placing a small cigarette between her lips to hide the act.

She didn't actually smoke, mother would disapprove too greatly of that, but no one would question a woman standing in the rain if it was clear she was just out for a smoke. The Jedi Marshall shifted slightly against the wall as she watched the tall Weequay walk into the club just opposite her. The man was a Crime Lord in this sector. From reports he was the sole distributor of Ryll on Eriadu, and that made him powerful. Of course, simply drug dealers didn't get the attention of the SIS, no, Mr. Weequay, or Ne'rell as he was better known was more valuable as an informant.

His Ryll supplier was what interested the SIS, but before getting to them, they would have to get Ne'rell.
