Due to his rather large body and armor that lines his body gives him extra resistance to blaster bolts and slug throwers, and to a certain extent Force Push. His large form also gave him a longer reach to slash at foes who would other wise be out of reach for some.
Form II Makashi Expert
Spending many years training using Form II has led to Sanious being one of the top users of Makashi on Korriban able to out do most Jedi in one on one saber duels.

Even though his thick armor and large physique can endure tough conditions he has proven to be far too heavy to utilize Force Speed, and can easily be out matched by someone who is far more agile than he is.
IV Ataru, V Djem So and VII Juyo
All of these forms are powerful against even Sanious's Form II and if one we're a master at any of these they could probably out do the cruel Sith Lord.

BIOGRAPHY:
Sanious was born on the planet Korriban under the name Cal'on to two Sith Lords who while engaged had very little romantic interest in one another, as their relationship was made only to breed a child that had no weaknesses and pure darkness itself. At a young age Sanious would study the Sith and the Sith code for days on in with very little rest, as by sleeping he would be punished with a burst of lightning coming from his Father and or Mother. When Sanious became of age he began to officially train as an Acolyte underneath his Father and occasionally his Mother who would regularly give him tasks such as retrieving Sith artifacts and to kill various wild life that inhabited the planet.
Like Terentateks and Shyracks, eventually the time of becoming a Apprentice would come and he would be tasked by hits Father to kill his Mother. However his Mother tasked him with the death of his Father, unable to decide who to kill the young Sith decided to kill both of his parents as by killing them he would be free of any emotional attachment to them. And after several hours of battle the young Sith was able to finally slay his parents and Sith Lords, seeing this the Emperor bestowed onto him the title of Sith Lord completely skipping over being an Apprentice making Sanious one of the youngest Sith Lords at the time at the age of sixteen.
Sanious was sent by another Sith Lord tasking him with the construction of a Castle on Mustafar, there he was attacked and terribly disfigured by a Roggwart. He was taken to a med bay where he went under emergency surgery to save the Sith Lord's life as his blood was quickly pouring out of his jugular. He eventually survived however he couldn't survive without an air supply constantly being pumped into his lungs as his windpipe was damaged severely from the attack. He temporarily used a regular face mask much like the ancient sith Darth Malgus, however he changed from the mask to a more elaborate and dare say artsy helmet, That had a red glow each time he took a deep breath.
The Sith Lord demaded the small Castle for himself as compensation for being badly injured while over seeing the construction of it, however when he was denied it by the Sith Lord who commissioned it Sanious challenged him to a one on one light saber duel, which of course he won and by slaying the Sith Lord he gained the property as his own where he now lives on the lava planet to this day his favorite pass time being walking along the surface of the planet looking down upon the hot red lava.
