The being known as Darth Quercus was bred by Velok the Elder as a simple crossbreed of the semi-sentient Dromund Kaas dart flower and the highly intelligent Murakami orchid. Quercus held a prized position in Velok's homes, labs, and offices for years as a watchful protector. They learned great power in the Dark Side of the Force from the so-called Last Blackguard.
In the decades after Velok died at Metalorn, Quercus brooded, consolidating their power base and learning even more radical applications of the Dark Side. They endured immense trials and tribulations in the parching ruins of Tash-Taral, and stood as first among equals at Velok's Maw. In the full bloom of their power, they journeyed to the Sith Empire to inherit their birthright.
