STRENGTHS
  • Small and Nimble - Darkheart is an extremely small blade, only having enough hilt space for one hand, and is exceedingly light, almost weightlessly so.
  • Vylmiran Focusing - Spite and Malice feature Vylmiran Crystals, focusing the blade and giving it an even higher cutting power.
  • Dantari Focusing - Darkheart takes advantage of a Dantari Crystal, allowing the wielder to recover spent Force Energy faster.
  • Songsteel Hilt - Darkheart's hilt is mostly songsteel, making it extremely light and durable, but also very hard to repair in the event it is damaged.
  • Force Imbuement - Darkheart's crystals are attuned to Isalor, allowing the blade to serve as an extension of his body when using the Force.
WEAKNESSES
  • Vylmiran Bonding - Darkheart utilises a Vylmiran Crystal for focusing, which must be bonded to the individual before it is usable as a blade. This also means that the user experiences similar trauma to the crystals should they be directly harmed.
  • Dark Temptation - Darkheart's focusing crystal is Dark Side Oriented, making it easy to be pulled to the Dark Side of the Force when using them. The Dantari Crystal also openly reflects the wielder's alignment.
  • Songsteel Hilt - Darkheart's hilt is mostly songsteel, making it extremely light and durable, but also very hard to repair in the event it is damaged.
  • Small and Nimble - Darkheart is an extremely small blade, only having enough hilt space for one hand, and is exceedingly light, almost weightlessly so.
  • Cortosis - Darkheart is as susceptible as any other lightsaber to the effects of Cortosis, and could be temporarily shorted out, if it were to come into contact with the substance.
DESCRIPTION

When one makes their lightsaber, many factors must be taken into consideration, for example, one's lightsaber form. This is not to say that one's lightsaber design is based entirely upon whether the spin, stab, or slash, rather, it is a minor factor when one takes into account the wielder's physique. After all, there's no point making a lightsaber that's too small to be actually held.

But that is also not to say that there are not more important factors. Such factors would be one's preferred fighting style. For Isalor Grathan, that fighting style favours a single, standard, small hilt. Nothing ridiculous, a simple, short-hilted saber is perfectly fine and compliments him very well.

The saber itself burns hot, hotter than normal yet not quite able to compare to combinations that could be made. It has a precise, purple blade, yet it is not a stick. It has a regular sized blade, not a shoto and not a two-handed saber.

Overall, it is a very standard saber in concept. Yet that could not be further from the truth. It's hilt is made primarily from Songsteel and is laced with Obsidian that draws intricate, complex flower-shapes. It's emitter is guarded by an ascending Obsidian web. It's hilt glows purple like it's blade.

Not a single part of the saber was unintentional, every bit made to artistic perfection. One only sees what they need to see, and that is plainly a small universal clip to latch onto any belt, and more importantly, the ignition switch.

Truly, a weapon made for practicality as much as it was for it's aesthetics.
