Shrugging her shoulders, "less that you are a weapon. More that we live lives where dangers lurk around the corners. Threats are ever present and that we need to become warriors that can stand against those threats." Eira countered, she was not reducing Alana to merely being a weapon and she knew that doing such was reductive. No, it was more she was hiding the other aspects that Eira wanted Alana to become. Hide some of the truths that might be too undesirable or hint too clearly at the manipulative aspects of Eira's mentality and behaviour.

It was one thing to show some tendencies. It was another to just start outright shouting them.

"Survival in life might not be original but for me it is crucial. I cannot afford to have someone to either worry about or constantly protect because they cannot look after themselves." Eira mentioned, things that were all true as well, she did not wish to be dragged behind her peers and those she sought to be her peers because she was entangled with those who were too weak. She wanted and desired to become powerful beyond imagine, she needed others who would help that path.

Watching Alana, "chasing someone else's dream is noble. But it will never be as strong motivation in life as pursuing your own goals. Don't get lost serving another merely because they tell you to. Find the passion, chase it." Eira mentioned, it was strange to say it since Eira had clearly been desiring to have Alana wrapped around her finger. But those she was loyal to were not ones who forged her path, they were merely ones who helped her as she did it herself.

That was how she intended to be with Alana, in her own twisted manner.

"That is a terrible answer! I think you can do better than that!" Eira teased as she nudged Alana's side playfully.

Alana hesitated, her mouth pressing into a tight line as she mulled over Eira’s words. The idea of chasing someone else’s dream—of being molded into something she didn’t choose—struck too close to home. She had spent her whole life being shaped by others. First by her parents’ chaotic existence, then by Alfonz’s ideals, and now by the Sith’s cold, calculated rewiring of who she was supposed to be.

What was her dream? Did she even have one?

Her fingers twitched at her side, curling into the fabric of her sleeve as she exhaled sharply. "Look, I don’t—" she faltered, frustration flickering across her face before she shook her head. "I don’t think about that kind of stuff. Never really had the chance to. Every time I started to—" She gestured vaguely, a wry smile ghosting over her lips, "—life had a way of yanking me in a different direction. So, I don’t know. Maybe I never had the luxury of picking something for myself."

Her voice was quieter than she intended, a little too raw for her liking. Alana winced at her own vulnerability, shifting uncomfortably. "It’s not noble or tragic or anything like that, it’s just... how it is." She shrugged stiffly, looking away. "So, if you’re expecting some grand revelation about what I want to do with my life, you’re gonna be waiting a while."

And then Eira nudged her and her line of thinking derailed.

Alana practically jumped, a strangled noise escaping her throat as she flinched violently to the side, clutching her ribs. "Eira!" She hissed, face burning as she writhed. "Don’t do that!"

The heat in her cheeks only made it worse. She wasn’t used to being caught off-guard like that, let alone responding like some flustered idiot. Huffing, she shot Eira a sharp glare, though the effect was ruined by the way she stubbornly refused to meet her gaze.

"Listen I-," She grumbled, voice low, "I’m a…total mess of a person, and I have no direction right now."

Nodding her head, "life can do that sometimes. However, that doesn't stop you from trying to do that now. I am here. I wish to remain here as long as you allow me to be and I want to help you become the person you wish to be." Eira stated in a cool tone, not surprised that Alana had struggled or was unused to the idea of becoming something of her own choosing. It was clear from what Eira had gotten away with up until now and it was clear from the tattoos and scars to be the case.

Hard lives rarely allowed time for dreams.

The severe reaction to the playful, light nudge was shocking. Eira had not intended any harm, she was tapping gently with her elbow but it seemed that Alana was more than a little sensitive to her sides. It was strange and Eira tilted her head, puzzled by it. As if she had ought to know that this would be the reaction from Alana for doing something most people would find harmless. It was strange but Eira reached forward, her hand hovered near Alana's face to cup it as long as Alana leaned into the hand.

"I did not realise it would hurt. My apologies. Anything I can do to make it up?" Eira was not here to cause pain, she was seeking to understand the woman before her. Inflicting pain offered her nothing.

Eira laughed when she mentioned being a mess. "No one in this galaxy is okay, they are all messes in some way. Just remember that. And remember that they still have dreams."

She forced out a chuckle, though it came out more awkward than anything else. "Didn't hurt," She muttered quickly, voice strained with the effort of pretending otherwise. "Just—caught me off guard."

Alana tried to wave it off, shifting in place as if the movement alone could erase the moment. She wasn't fragile. She wasn't weak. And she sure as hell wasn't about to sit here and make a big deal out of something as small as a damn nudge.

But Eira was watching her, sharp and calculating, and then there was a hand hovering just near her face—offering contact, offering something that Alana didn't quite know what to do with.

Her first thought was to pull away. But she didn't.

Was she this starved for attention?

Instead, she stilled, letting herself linger just a little closer to the warmth of Eira's hand, though she stopped short of fully leaning into it. A compromise. A middle ground between her own impulse to retreat and some part of her that wasn't entirely opposed to the gesture.

"You don't have to make up for anything," Alana finally murmured, exhaling as some of the tension bled from her shoulders. "Just—don't act like you broke me or something." She managed a smirk, albeit a small one. "As for dreams….its a work in progress.”

Nodding her head, "well, I am glad that it didn't hurt. I did not want to hurt you or cause you any suffering." Eira mentioned as she breathed out a slow relieved sigh. The woman was glad that Alana had not rushed off the ship after that due to something that Eira had not intended to do. It was a concern since this exploration of their potential connection was still very new and Eira was very much aware that thing could collapse at any moment.

The middle ground move was a clear indication that Alana was still be super cautious with Eira and she knew that she could not push things. Leaving her hand where it was, letting the warm emanate from her hand for Alana to enjoy.

Nodding her head, she did not wish to treat Alana as a delicate glass flower. That was not the role of someone she needed. Eira needed strong people, people willing to get into harm's way and into danger to defend her. Protect her dreams of grandeur from those seeking to cut her down.

"Well. When they are figured out, hopefully you will let me know so I can try to help achieve them." Eira stated with a smile on her lips.

Alana regarded Eira in silence for a moment, weighing the words and the warmth lingering between them. There was something about this—this careful, deliberate approach—that kept her from recoiling. She wasn't some fragile thing, not by any means, but trust? That was a different beast entirely.

Still, Eira hadn't flinched away from the wariness in Alana's gaze. She hadn't tried to force anything. That counted for something.

Her lips twitched slightly, almost an amused smirk, though it was brief. "Figure them out first," She muttered, voice low but steady. "Then we'll see."

It wasn't a promise, not yet. But it wasn't a rejection, either. She kept her gaze on Eira. “So…you….wanted to train….yes?”

Eira focused on gently combing her fingers through the white hair of Alana as she enjoyed the quietness and the moment of reflection on Alana as Eira didn't push her will upon the bounty hunter. She never dragged a person to do as she wished, she guided, showed the path to what she desired. Hoping they would follow it out of care and loyalty to her. Why attempt to break a person when that could bite her back? Easier and more fun to allow the person to think they independently decided to be obsessed and desiring her.

And it allowed Eira to explore feelings she rarely felt.

"So we shall." Eira stated as Alana muttered low, her ears quite perceptive for a human and she was someone who often hated the idea of missing out on stuff.

Twirling a lock of Alana's white hair around her fingers, "I am not an expert. Still an apprentice myself, so it is just training together. I am not officially your teacher. But I would very much like to train together and improve together." Eira was being upfront, she was not having word going back to Quinn that she was trying to take on students. What she was doing was training with peers, something she figured Quinn would like since it meant she socialised more.

"I am sure you can show me stuff as much as I can show you."

Alana let out a slow breath, letting herself sink into the moment as Eira's fingers moved through her hair. It was soothing—too soothing, maybe, but she wasn't about to complain. The quiet rhythm of it, the absent twirling of a lock around her fingers, the way Eira never pushed, never demanded—just was—it was rare. Comfortable.

Alana hummed, low and lazy, her eyes half-lidded as she tilted her head slightly, encouraging the touch rather than shying away from it. If Eira wanted to play with her hair, she sure as hell wasn't going to stop her.

Alana smirked slightly at Eira’s admission. "Ah, I see. So if I end up flat on my ass, it's not your fault."

Her tone was teasing, but there was something thoughtful behind it. She understood what Eira was doing, keeping things balanced, not putting herself above but beside. It was a smart move—whether it was intentional or just her way, Alana wasn't sure yet.

But she liked it.

Alana let her eyes drift shut for a moment, exhaling through her nose. The idea of training with someone like this—not just as a means to an end, not just for survival, but with someone—it wasn't something she had much experience with. Most of her training had been rough, ruthless, meant to make her stronger or faster or better because if she wasn't, she wouldn't last long.

But this?

This felt… different. And she didn't mind it.

“That so?" She murmured, cracking an eye open to glance up at Eira. Her smirk softened just a little.

"Alright. Let's see what we can teach each other, then."

Eira continued to play with the short hair of Alana as she enjoyed the feeling of the locks between her fingers. The differences that this woman's hair felt in comparison to her own. How it layered and the straightness of it. Whereas, Eira's was more akin to a wild, untamed curly mess. It was perhaps contrasting the ways that the two were different in ways but not incompatible.

"It would never be my fault. Especially if an Echani fell flat on her ass." Eira teased in a soft tone, "I thought your kind were made of much sturdier stuff." She winked, showing the humour in her comments. Anyone could be knocked on their ass, even the most powerful in the Sith Order. That was Eira's belief, but it was just trickier for the more skilled to get knocked back like that.

Shifting closer, Eira smirked with her full lips, breathing in deeply. "Also means that the more we train together, the closer we will be. That is at least, the way your people view it?" Eira knew some of the Echani culture from her Master and let her neatly trimmed nails gently caress Alana's scalp as she smiled.

"Could be interesting to see what more I learn of you." She teased in her seductive tone.

Alana let out a slow breath, eyes half-lidded as she felt Eira's fingers sift through her hair. There was something almost foreign about the touch—gentle, deliberate. A contrast to the sharp edges she had been carved into, to the fights and the scars and the constant push to survive.

A flicker of amusement curled at the corner of her lips.

"Sturdy, huh?" Her voice was low, edged with something dry, something amused. "Funny, 'cause last I checked, I'm still here. You think you've seen me fall? Maybe you haven't been paying attention."

She tilted her head slightly, just enough that Eira's fingers brushed against her scalp in a way that sent a shiver down her spine.

Alana wasn't blind to what this was. The teasing, the push, the way Eira leaned in, testing boundaries with every breath between them. She'd danced this dance before, knew the rhythm, knew how to step away—or step closer.

Her crimson eyes flicked up, locking onto Eira's with something unreadable.

"We don't just fight to train," she murmured. "We fight to know someone. To understand them in ways words can't touch." A smirk tugged at the edge of her mouth. "And trust me, sweetheart, if you want to know me that bad…"

She leaned in just enough to let her breath ghost over Eira's lips, a deliberate challenge, a silent dare.

"…You better be ready to keep up."

She grinned and pulled back, wiggling a little in place as she felt a little coy at having pulled that maneuver off.

Eira raised an eyebrow, "well, you are here because I dragged your near dead ass to the medical centre." Eira challenged, "so you were on your butt. But, I'm interested in making a fun second round to see if I can knock you down again." She poked her tongue out in teasing way, then winked over to her.

Gently scratching at the scalp of Alana, grinning as she could tell this treatment was something that Alana was deeply enjoying. Which was a pleasure for Eira as well since it was something that she could work on and make sure that every touch, every intimacy moment between them was one that Alana craved and enjoyed. It was also a way for Eira to learn from.

"I know the reasoning for your people to fight. I am taught by an Echani." Eira stated, she did not wish for Alana to think she was uneducated in the significance and the importance of sparring between them. "Trust me, I will be a better fighter than most you will face. Especially with sticking to your many rules." Eira teased with a smirk on her lips, eager to demonstrate how powerful she is even for how she looked.

Her teeth nipped at Alana's bottom lip before the Echani leaned back and then released her lip. Then watched her settle back. "What do you want to do now?"

Alana exhaled slowly, the sensation of Eira's fingers in her hair sending a shiver down her spine. It was a rare thing, to be touched like this—without expectation, without violence. Her head tilted ever so slightly into the motion, an unconscious surrender to the simple pleasure of it.

Eira's words brought a smirk to her lips, though. Dragged her near-dead ass to the medical center? Yeah, that tracked. Alana had vague flashes of pain, of the cold floor rushing up to meet her after their last match. She hadn't gone down easy, but she had gone down.

"Second round, huh?" Alana murmured, her voice carrying the hint of a challenge. “You got a taste of victory, and now you're getting cocky. Dangerous habit."

The teasing was met in kind, but there was something in Eira's tone—something eager, determined. She understood what a fight meant to Alana.

Not just a contest of skill, but a conversation. A truth stripped of words.

"Taught by an Echani, huh?" Alana opened one eye, watching Eira with quiet interest. “Then you already know—it ain't just about the rules. It's about what you say with your fists. What you can't lie about."

Her smirk deepened as Eira nipped at her lip, a quick, playful motion before pulling away. Alana let out a low chuckle, shaking her head.

“Careful now," She said, her tone lazy but edged with something sharper. “If you keep sweet-talking and scratching like that, I might just decide I'm done fighting for the night."

She shifted slightly, stretching out. The bruises from their last spar still ached, but they were the kind of aches she welcomed. Proof of a fight well fought. Proof she was still here.

“What do I want to do now?" Alana echoed, tilting her head as if considering. She let the silence stretch just a second longer than necessary before a slow grin spread across her lips.

“I think I wanna see where we go from here."

Eira smirked, "oh, but it is only cocky if I can't back it up. I think we both know that I can back my skills up." She gave a wink to Alana with a flirtatious smirk on her lips.

"Well, it will be interesting to see what you reveal with all your secrets." Eira teased as she moved in a little closer to Alana. Leaning on the back of the couch as she studied Alana's physique and appearance. Where she would be cautious on Alana's strengths and using Eira's own strengths against Alana. Already assessing where next she needed to fighting.

Leaning in closely, she breathed out slowly against Alana's ear teasingly then her neck. "Hmmmm, am I distracting you that much huh?" Eira spoke in a teasing tone. Her one hand still caressing Alana's hair and scalp, the other hand carefully caressing her thigh slowly.

Grinning as Alana stated that she wanted to see where they went next from here, Eira smirked widely, leaning in close and kissed Alana's forehead. "Well, we can go travel to somewhere fun," Eira mentioned and her deep red eyes staring intensely into your eyes, "you tell me what you think would be fun for the two of us to do." Eira stood there with an air of confidence with her alluring figure teasingly.

Alana's lips curled into a subtle, almost imperceptible smirk, her gaze flicking over Eira, weighing the words and the playful challenge in the air between them. She didn't back down.

Her fingers brushed over the edge of her drink, fingers tracing the rim absently as she let the teasing tone sink in.

"You really think you can distract me that easily?" She murmured, her voice steady but laced with an edge of challenge. She met Eira's gaze unflinchingly, those dark, searching eyes of hers refusing to look away. "You'd be surprised how much I can handle."

The warmth of Eira's proximity wasn't lost on her, but Alana wasn't quick to show it—too much control, too much restraint.

"You're right," She continued, leaning back slightly, her voice smooth as silk, but with the faintest trace of something deeper, "it could be fun. But I don't take kindly to being the one who's led. If we're going anywhere..."

Her smirk deepened as her eyes dropped to Eira's hand resting on her thigh before they flicked back to meet her gaze.

"I guess we'll see what we're made of."

Eira chuckled softly in Alana's ear, "oh darling, I know that I am that distracting." Eira teased with her soft whispers into the mind of Alana as she spoke. A mischievous giggle to confirm that for all the control, the restraint that Alana was demonstrating, it was a front. It was forced to make Eira doubt her abilities but the front was forced a little too hard for Eira to believe that and instead she suspected that the exact opposite issue was happening to Alana. Eira was becoming too ingrained into the Echani's mind.

Which was what Eira wanted exactly.

Eira gave a teasing squeeze on Alana's leg. "Oh, I think you are clearly mistaken. I think we both know that you love to be led, to be placed exactly where you need to be. Since I have led this dance before you even arrived on this world. And I will continue to lead it." Eira spoke with an unwavering tone of confidence and firmness. That she could not be shifted on this and that she would not be shifted on this issue.

Eira never gave up control. Not without fighting.

Alana allowed herself a small, almost imperceptible smile as Eira's words brushed against her mind. She didn't pull away from the pressure on her leg, instead letting the moment linger, feeling the weight of the control Eira was trying to assert. The familiar tension stirred something within her, but she kept her expression neutral, her voice soft as she spoke.

"Maybe you're right," Alana replied, her tone calm, yet laced with a hint of curiosity. "You've certainly done your homework."

She shifted slightly, making no effort to break the touch, her gaze flickering toward Eira with a cool, calculating look. "I suppose I'll see where you lead me next, then."

Her words were open, yet there was a quiet challenge there, as though she was silently daring Eira to take the next step, to see just how far her control could stretch before Alana would have her say. For now, she was content to let Eira lead, testing the waters, waiting to see what would come of it.

Eira smirked and let out a chuckle, "I never do anything half assed. I am sure you will learn that soon enough." She whispered in Alana's ear with a soft voice. Her eyes locked with Alana's there was no shying away from the Sith and there was a confidence that came from experience, experience she held that was beyond her years.

There was a dare for the next step, to see how far Alana would let Eira go. However, Eira was not wanting to push too far in this first encounter. There was a connection she wished to build upon, to demonstrate that she was not flitting away once she got what she wanted from Alana. It was her instincts telling her that she needed to demonstrate to Alana that she was there to be reliant upon.

"Not yet. We'll save the next big step for when we know we are matching in combat prowess." Eira suggested, it was suggestion that was meant to appeal to the Echani roots of Alana and perhaps make the hunter fight her harder. Offer some control on when the kiss between them could happened. It was in Eira's mind a small gesture.

Pulling back, she rose from the couch and stretched her figure to avoid stiffening soreness. "I have an idea of where we can spar, somewhere that won't have lingering eyes. Let us train in peace." Eira grinned to Alana.

Alana's crimson eyes narrowed faintly, her smirk subtle but unmistakable. That whisper in her ear didn't rattle her—it only added fuel to the storm quietly coiled beneath her skin. She leaned back slightly, gaze still locked on Eira's with a slow, measured exhale, as if weighing the words, testing them for truth.

"Confidence suits you," she said, voice low and edged with that signature dry grit. "Let's see if your bite's as sharp as your charm."

The comment wasn't dismissive—it was a challenge wrapped in intrigue, a flicker of interest buried beneath her guarded tone. There was a flicker of something deeper in her gaze too, a glint of curiosity edged with heat. But Alana wasn't someone who offered herself easily, not even in moments like this. Everything with her came earned, tested in fire and grit.

At Eira's mention of combat prowess, Alana chuckled under her breath. "You really want to impress an Echani? You picked the right language. But don't expect me to hold back."

She rose from her seat in a smooth motion, coat sweeping behind her, the faint clink of weapons echoing as she adjusted her belt. Her movements were practiced, coiled, predator-like. Not threatening—but unmistakably dangerous.

"Lead the way," She added with a flick of her fingers toward the door. "Let's see if you can keep up once the gloves come off."

There was no flirtation in her tone now—just purpose. But the look in her eyes? That said the game had only just begun.
