- Description:
Genevieve Goth, born Genevieve Dubois, was a highly intelligent and accomplished woman. A native Dahrtagian, she was born a Psy-Pire in a legendary family. Using her long lifespan to her advantage, she studied many subjects, particularly the arts, earning degrees and absorbing knowledge like a sponge. It was rumored that she had a genius IQ. Regardless of her intelligence level, she was highly accomplished, a polyglot, a talented musician - and a criminal.
Yes, in her youth the name Genevieve Dubois was feared. She started at the bottom and worked her way to the top, creating her own enterprise. She dealt in drugs and entertainment, and was merciless toward her enemies. Then, one day it all came crashing down. Her activities were uncovered by an agent of the Progenitor herself, who was so ashamed of her progeny's crimes that she had her memories drained away.
Cast out and suffering from amnesia, Genevieve was found by Frederic Goth, an unusually compassionate Energy Vampire. He took her in and the two eventually married, having a daughter together named Thelma. Thelma's earliest memories are of her mother telling her stories, playing the harp and singing folk songs. Genevieve was very proud of her heritage and loved a good ghost story.
It's hard to pinpoint when things started to change. The transformation was gradual, happening slowly over time. The vampires of the Citadel were meant to only feed from animals, as per their longstanding agreement with the villagers. Genevieve obeyed the rules, but had a casual attitude towards breaking them every now and then "when the occasion calls for it". Since she fed on thoughts and memories rather than blood or energy, her occasional rule-breaking largely went unnoticed. Her victims wouldn't remember that she had fed from them, as she consumed their memory of the encounter. At some point she brought Thelma with her on one of these secret outings. Genevieve, then a child, expressed concern over what she was taking away from these people. At her suggestion, Genevieve began feeding only on bad memories, reasoning that she was doing them a favor.
Eventually, these feedings ceased to be occasional and became more frequent. Genevieve's behavior grew odd and paranoid. She said things that didn't make sense, seemed angry for no reason, and grieved for people she didn't know, visiting their graves. Her secret feedings were discovered, and she was brought before the members of the House for judgment. Even her husband had to agree that she was no longer in her right mind. They decided to keep her locked away in the attic, to prevent her from continuing to feed on people. What was intended to be a temporary confinement became a years long imprisonment. Genevieve's mind only deteriorated further in isolation, until she was attacking anyone who dared to visit her. Even her own daughter was no longer safe.
Her eventual escape would prove catastrophic for the House, as she descended the mountain and killed a child from the village. The villagers rose up against the vampires, hiring mercenaries to storm the Citadel and kill everyone inside. They succeeded in wiping out the House, but Genevieve survived the attack, hiding in the woods. From there she slowly but surely drove the townspeople out of their homes, fleeing an evil force which attacked them in their very beds...
FAMILY MEMBER 2
- Name: Frederic "Fred" Goth
- Age: A few centuries old at time of death
- Species: Energy Vampire
- Role: Father of Thelma; Husband of Genevieve
- Languages: Basic, Huttese, binary droidspeak, Old Dahrtagian
- Skills: Frederic was raised a nobleman and received a noble's education. However, he was never taught any particular skills nor did he exhibit any desire to venture into business or other exploits. As a result, when the old world he had grown up in gradually fell apart, Fred was ill prepared for the changes that were to come. He continued to live in his family's crumbling castle, hunting on the lands that had belonged to them for generations, but he couldn't truly thrive in the new society.
- Notable Possessions: [ Do they have a favorite soup spoon? A gadget, gizmo, speeder, or gun?]
- Holdings: Castle Goth
- Appearance: A tall, dark, and handsome man with soft brown eyes beneath thick, dark brows.
- Description:
Frederic "Fred" Goth was the son of old school Dahrtagian nobility, Energy Vampires who drained their victims of their life force. Effortlessly cool and with rakish good looks, he was seen as charming and charismatic - yet his soft brown eyes held a vulnerability which was both disarming and pathetic. Fred had a weakness unusual among his kind: he was sympathetic toward mortals. This was evident in his choice of profession; he went to medical school and studied to become a doctor, both out of a sincere desire to ease the suffering of others and to use the opportunity to feed from the dying. It was this compassion for those he should have seen as mere cattle that other vampires found repulsive, leading to him becoming a black sheep among his people.
This ostracization from his peers may have saved his life, as his contact with fellow vampires during the Gulag pandemic was limited. His entire clan was wiped out, but Frederic survived the Plague and retreated into the mountains, where he lived in the ruins of an old citadel. Over time other vampire outcasts and refugees found their way to the Citadel, seeking shelter from a cruel galaxy. Eventually he took a bride, Genevieve, and the household grew as they welcomed a daughter, Thelma.

GENERAL FAMILY INFORMATION
House Goth is the name given to a mixed vampire clan hailing from the Larpathian Mountains region of the planet Dahrtag. Though a somewhat obscure brood, they can trace their lineage back to the Gulag Plague.
According to legend, Prince Sirki was an Atrisian-born Psy-Pire. He settled on Dahrtag, where he ruled over a considerable fiefdom with a cruel and heavy hand. He developed a reputation among the nobility for throwing wild and extravagant parties at his lavish castle—but in order to enjoy the festivities, the guests had to obey Sirki's every whim. The prince would ultimately perish from the Gulag plague, but not before siring a vampiress, Francesca, who birthed a daughter fathered by him.
According to legend, Francesca was a Dahrtagian peasant who was abducted from her village by the Psy-Pire Prince Sirki. Francesca was able to earn her captor's respect and admiration; he would ultimately grant her wish to become a Psy-Pire. It is believed that the prince was the father of her daughter, though this has never been definitively confirmed. It is from Francesca that the female line of the family descends, mother to daughter for at least seven generations.
