[PERSONALITY & TRAITS]

Daan is something of an oddity amongst the Genetically-enhanced Supersoldiers that served the First Order in that she wasn't a career soldier prior to volunteering for the First Order's direct-entry program into the Special Forces as an eligible First Imperial Citizen. Daan's motivations for service are a far cry from the oft militant rhetoric of the First Order and decided to join after realising that her own personal attempts to connect with foreign cultures and ease tensions with neighbouring powers while in service to the First Imperial Government were having no real impact towards her idealistic goal of establishing galactic peace in her lifetime.

With a mind towards joining the Military for selfless reasons, Daan managed to dedicate herself towards physically gaining enough fitness and muscle mass to pass Special Warfare Command's demanding physical capacity test which stands as a testament to her discipline and mental focus. Daan sometimes would feel alienated and isolated from her peers during Officer and then Special Forces training where many were fiercely militant and xenophobic where Daan herself possesses a deep curiosity towards the unknown and unexplored, she possesses a quaint interest in jiggsaw puzzles which she likes to complete in her spare time when not on-duty in addition to playing games of probability and strategy.

As an Officer, Daan didn't possess the authoritarian leadership style often observed among Imperial-type officers and this can be traced back to her Diplomatic mindset and general agreeableness. Daan loves nothing more than seeing her subordinates succeed through their tests and challenges regardless if it's on or off the field, actively offering encouragement to other personnel. Daan will often magnanimously assign credit for objective or mission success to individuals within her team. In addition, Daan on more than one occasion encouraged the Troopers of Special Warfare Command/Group Three and others to personalise their armour with custom paint for example as an expression of their individuality believing that they are more than "Death Troopers" whose sole purpose is to deal death, an idea she quietly rejected and abhorred.

With a fondness for Children, Daan enjoyed parades where her rather colourful armour draws the adoration of children , she aimed to teach them that "Death Troopers" weren't death-dealing monsters, but soldiers who are prepared to fight and die for the safety of their youngest citizens and their parents attempting in her own way to re-invent the connotation of "Death Trooper" from being synonymous with "Killing Machine" to "Selfless Sacrifice". Unlike her predecessors in the previous Generation of Death Troopers from Project: AFTERLIFE, Daan insisted with her Orders that prisoners are taken and processed properly where possible rejecting the idea that she must stoop down to the level of terrorists and partisans to be efficient or effective. Daan's respect for the customarily accepted laws of war she hoped would foster wider respect for these values through the First Imperial Military as a whole.

Barring Insurgents or Partisans, Daan is quite forgiving and doesn't maliciously hold grudges for slights. When interacting with foreign government servants or even aliens Daan usually appeared as friendly and co-operative which generally defies the expectations conjured from her distinctly Imperial accent which smacks of some kind of nobility belying her humble beginnings. With a deep appreciation for song when in a state of boredom or idleness Daan occasionally sings melancholic ancient Atrisian hymns with the proficiency of a trained amateur, however her skill in this regard is a point of self-consciousness and Daan will generally only observe this behaviour among people she truly considers friends. Dann's agreeable disposition and focus on individuality amongst her subordinates often put her at odds with more senior-level Officers of the "Old Guard" Such as Admiral Carlyle Rausgeber of CENTCOM who found her to be insufferably naive on a personal level. And it's true this naivity could lead to Daan to lower her guard at an inopportune time.

As a combatant, Daan is precise and methodical discriminating carefully between lawful targets and unlawful targets holding herself to a high moral and ethical standard when engaging this contrasts heavily to the ruthless pragmatism oft witnessed in other Special Forces Units such as Group Four's ALPHA Team. Daan, since joining the First Imperial Military has trained carefully in several disarmed fighting schools sometimes off-field and at her own expense taking additional care not to injure any Humans who attempt to sparr with her. The focus from Daan on disarmed fighting techniques is to provide herself with as many Non-Lethal options as humanly possible, if Daan thinks she can get away without killing even in Self-Defence in the face of grievous bodily harm or death she might just attempt it in a selfless attempt to spare life where she perceives it doesn't necessarily have to be taken.

Daan is somewhat self-conscious about her abilities as a "Death Trooper" and soldier in general and she compensates subconsciously for this by demonstrating a rather irritating air of cocky self-assurance when warned by concerned subordinates or superiors that she may be pushing herself too far during deployments. This outwardly arrogant demeanour can often lead to poor first impressions with others and it's something that Daan attempts to keep in-check although it goes against her own personal belief that Officers had to possess a certain assuredness to provide their subordinates with a sense of confidence in their orders and purpose believing firmly that the worst answer a leader can ever give is "I don't know." When asked for direction in a forlorn situation.

Daan Sarnova is a chemically and surgically augmented Human Woman standing at approximately 208cm tall when barefoot or the equivalent of six feet and seven and a half inches, her limbs are contoured with dense musculature as a result of the augmentations received as part of Project: Revenant thus she possesses a physique that goes beyond athletic and approaches more closely to sculptures erected by ancient civilizations to commemorate the rare feminine martial deity. Daan possesses an exotic phenotype with startling fine red hair growing from her crown with a pair of minutely arched eyebrows straddling a pair of sad looking almond-shaped Green-Hazel spheres contrasting attractively with the milk-pale skin of her visage and complimented by a pair of proud cheekbones. Daan's mid-face sports a quaintly appealing button-like nose with a bridge that features a subtle charming concave curve. Their face is somewhat longer than average with a deep chin and narrow angular jaw that gives Daan's entire face a shape resembling a diamond, her forehead standing tall albeit not broad. Daan's hands are characterised by a surgeon's precision with dextrous fingers with palms unmarred by callouses that hint towards either an aversion to manual labour or strict adherence to donning appropriate protective equipment, the latter being the truth while the former a common assumption. Their fingersnails are kept clean and short none of the pomp associated with wealthy aristocrats is found on the digits the former Death Trooper used to pull a trigger, Daan chooses an equally utilitarian short haircut with the longest part of it swept over to one side as opposed to around the head evenly in an attempt to keep it out of her face and from getting caught in a helmet's hermetic seal.

Strengths

• Paragon: Daan is an accomplished communicator with a strong understanding of foreign, alien cultures and languages maintaining atleast an understanding of common dialects used throughout the Galaxy. Striking most who encounter her as friendly and grounded, Daan will nearly always attempt to resolve violent confrontations peacefully if she genuinely believes it's a possibility.
• Superhuman Physiology: Daan was a First Imperial Death Trooper, a Biologically, Chemically and cybernetically enhanced supersoldier with a physiology that far surpasses the capabilities of any Baseline Human. Colonel Daan's bones are nigh unbreakable, her reaction time so short it's virtually imperceivable by an ordinary humanoid and possesses sufficient strength to crush a Human Sternum with a single strike and run at speeds in excess of 55 km/h.

Weaknesses

• Angel on their Shoulders: More of a personality flaw, Daan will happily place herself in danger to aid beleaguered those in need, often this results in taking risks that earn the ire of more Senior Officers. Daan will heroically face-down nearly any opponent if by doing so she will spare others from pain or death.
• Flesh Is Weak: Despite her myriad of Physiological augmentations, Daan is still organic and susceptible to the effects of mortal injuries and shock trauma making it possible to disable the Death Trooper without outright killing her when she's vulnerable.
• Force Powers: Like most Death Troopers produced by the First Order, Daan has little protection from the offensive-type force powers outside of distracting or wounding the force wielder or sorcerer in question.
