CX-03 'Operator' Plating was designed at the request of Director Sisenna to outfit a new line of commando droids. The history of its production puts on display the ruthless precision, standards, and replication problem undertaken by the teams at Kuat Entralla to produce an effective armor that could resist a variety of projectiles and melee weapons. Finally they landed on the CX-03 design, separated from other technical components that will be designed to outfit the eventual CX Model commando droid.
