Cuinen Sabar Elemental has three primary focus areas: land, space, and gas. Operations occurring on larger astral bodies categorized as planets or moons fall under the 'land' department. The 'gas' department can operate anywhere gaseous elements exist, from planetary bodies to nebulae. Resources such as asteroid fields and comets are the realm of the 'space' department; this was often the most destructive since such locations are rarely inhabited. As with any effective organization there is a research brach that serves varying needs throughout the business, including the combination of elements to form others.
CSE maintains a strong core of sustainable practices, believing they make life easier for everyone. People tend not to like their inhabited planets - or even inhabitable planets - being ground to dust in the name of profit after all. Whether it's pulling molten metals from beneath a planet's crust or gathering the gaseous emanations of an unstable gas giant, the excesses aren't simply burned off, dumped in a slag heap, or left to ruin neighboring spaces. This position makes the company a strong contender with those looking to make use of natural resources without razing everything in sight.
The company accepts many types of sales. Contracts are common, with other organizations placing advance requests for certain amounts of specific materials and paying predetermined amounts for them. There are also lots open for bidding so those who want given substances can determine what cost they're willing to pay. Internal product sales are also frequent, with CSE selling to other Ceredir companies at or very near cost. CSE is its own company, but it is also part of the Ceredir Industries group and if it can help secure wins for the others without being an internal loss, so much the better.
RATIONALE
Cuinen Sabar Elemental is the first result of the Ceredir Industries restructuring, the inaugural brand of the Materials business unit. CI's leadership teams determined that the mining operations - originally part of TransGalMeg Industries - were sufficiently different from the main TGM markets to be split off and stand on their own. Ceredir maintains an attitude of starting small and reinvesting profits - whether into salaries or devlopment - to grow the business, and CSE does likewise.
