STRENGTHS

- LIGHTWEIGHT - The CTSC-1 was designed first and foremost to be lightweight and compact, at barely more than a couple of pounds, and only a little over a foot long, it can fit quite easily into most packs, without the wearer ever even noticing it's there.

- BROAD - Rather than specialising, the CTSC-1 instead takes a broader approach, providing survival gear that is usable in the wilderness of many different planets and climates

- FIVE C'S - Cutting, Cordage, Container, Cover, and Combustion; the Five C's of suvival have been covered by the CTSC-1, with the bonus addition of a cursory first-aid kit for additional care for its users when in need.

WEAKNESSES

- CONSUMABLES - While some of the CTSC-1's components are reusable, some - like the first aid supplies and food capsules - are consumable, and cannot be replenished until the user has returned to civilisation

- INCOMPLETE COVERAGE - The CTSC-1 is broad enough to fill many of the basic needs of survival. However, in order to keep it relatively light and compact, it lacks many more specialised tools, such as solar charger for electronics, a distress beacon, and other components that would have to be packed separately

- TERRESTRIAL ONLY - CTSC stands for Compact Terrestrial Survival Capsule, and the device is specifically designed for those stranded in the wilderness, the capsule provides little - if any - use to those trapped on a ship without power or other extra-terrestrial wilderness

The CTSC-1 was designed to be a convenient, lightweight solution for the survivalist-challenged. Coming equipped with the Five C's of basic survival: Cordage, Combustion, Cover, Container, and Cutting, it gives even the most inept stranded spacer a chance to make it long enough to be rescued. In addition to the basic five C's, however, the CTSC-1 also contains a first aid kid, and food capsules, because not everyone who gets stranded was taught to hunt.

Stranded in the rain, hail, snow, or scorching sun? Our lightweight all-climate tent will keep you temperate and dry! Does your physiology require regular water? We've included a water filter to unsure any nearby water source is safe to drink! How about a signal for your location? The 500 lumen torch has you covered! With fire starters, a survival knife, first aid kit, and even rations, we've ensured that getting stranded need no longer be the death sentence it once was!
