SETTING INFORMATION

Structure Name: Crown of the Plains
Classification: Noble Homestead / Private Compound
Location: Vaal
Affiliation: House Angelis
Accessibility: Situated atop a sweeping bluff overlooking the Vaalian savanna, the estate is isolated but not hidden. Its elevated position and surrounding terrain offer natural visibility and defensive advantages. Entry is restricted through biometric security systems and encrypted authorization. A private landing pad is reserved for house-aligned vessels and approved dignitaries.
Description:
The Crown of the Plains rises like a monument to a bygone order, perched above the sweeping savannas of Vaal. Clad in white stone and veined with gold, its long colonnades and towering bronze effigies do not welcome, only remind. The path to its gates is lined by solemn trees, ending in a stone compass star where ancestors once stood proud and undivided. Its baroque forms speak of old-world prestige, but beneath the polish lies fracture. Once the seat of Republic-loyal nobility, it now stands in regal stillness, occupied, but not truly inherited. The blood that built it bleeds in silence, awaiting the heir who was cast aside... and who may return as something else entirely.

POINTS OF INTEREST

The Vault of Arms: A concealed, reinforced chamber beneath the central wing, the Vault holds ceremonial weapons, antique armor, and heritage arms belonging to past Angelis patriarchs. Items within include both functional gear and ornate relics used for diplomatic ceremonies or state declarations.

The Solarium Gardens: Perched on the estate's upper tier, these cultivated green spaces feature flowering native flora and artistic topiary hedges. Carefully irrigated by a concealed hydro-grid, the gardens are bordered by ivory stone balustrades and often serve as meditative retreats or private parley zones.

The Training Hall: A pristine indoor training wing, complete with modular sparring chambers, Force-assisted duel simulators, and ranged weapon galleries. Marble-inlaid floors and gilded paneling conceal reinforced plating beneath, allowing for intense combat without structural damage.

The Security HQ: Beneath the estate's eastern wing lies a subterranean facility that houses monitoring stations, internal lockdown control, and a secure AI-coordinated defense matrix. Real-time satellite feeds, biometric logs, and drone pathing systems are reviewed here by estate security personnel.

The Secure Hangar / Landing Pad: Discreetly positioned at the back of the estate and accessible via a slope-cut shuttle path, the hangar is concealed behind retractable white stone blast-doors. Atmospheric shielding, perimeter sensors, and hardened anti-personnel systems protect incoming and outgoing traffic.

The Feasting Hall: A vaulted reception and dining chamber where golden chandeliers hang above a massive long-table etched with the Angelis crest. This space is used for gatherings, military honors, and diplomatic receptions.

The War Room: Located in the estate's western interior spire, this strategy chamber includes a tiered gallery, a large holographic terrain projector, and real-time planetary uplinks. It was once used to coordinate relief during the Mandalorian incursions and remains functional for military operations.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Commissioned by Adonis Angelis I during the height of the Republic and Alliance political influence, the Crown of the Plains was envisioned as a testament to Republic-aligned nobility and prestige on the frontier world of Vaal. Its construction drew upon both traditional Vaalian architectural cues and offworld stylings favored by Coruscanti elite.

With the death of Adonis Angelis III, executed during the Mandalorian occupation for his unwavering loyalty to the Alliance, the estate passed into the hands of surviving kin who traded legacy for longevity. Adonis Angelis IV, the rightful heir, was cast out after pledging fealty to the Mandalorian Creed.

Though the estate remains impeccably maintained and symbolically powerful, it stands divided, representing both noble inheritance and betrayal. Its golden halls now await the return of the exiled son, and with him, the reckoning of a fractured dynasty.
