SPECIAL FEATURES

• Modified Sea Leviathan Blister Pod - The specially modified, mounted, and preserved blister pod heals the user in equal proportion to the damage done with the weapon. This also allows the user to absorb the life essence of the foes as if using Force Drain, and expanding upon the Sea Leviathan's Blister Pod's ability to absorb sentience to instead absorb the knowledge of slain victims. Sifting through such knowledge for the useful bits and discarding the useless does take time through meditation and is difficult to employ on the battlefield.
• Sarrassian Iron - The Sarrassian Iron used in the blade resonates strongly with the dark side of the force, enhancing the potency of dark side abilities used by the wielder.
• Sith Blade - Being able to clash with lightsabers, being preternaturally tough, being extremely sharp, and being able to deflect a laser if the user is skilled enough to use the ungainly weapon in such a way.
• Armour Piercing - Enhanced by Sith Alchemy, the blade can cut as if it were a lightsaber, using pure force energy, giving it a way around the commonplace methods of lightsaber protection such as Beskar, Phrik, and Cortosis.

STRENGTHS

• Absorption - The special blister pod allows the user to absorb both the life essence and knowledge of slain foes.
• Vampiric Touch - The blister pod, as the user harms others, heals the user in equal proportion.
• Alchemized Blade - The blade of the weapon is enhanced by Sith Alchemy, giving it the usual benefits of such, as well as strengthening the cutting ability.
• Dark Side Resonance - The weapon resonates heavily in the dark side, enhancing the powers of a Sith or other darksider using the weapon.
• Cuts deep - The weapon can cut as if it is a lightsaber blade without the usual weaknesses of a lightsaber's blade, such as the materials Phrik, Beskar, and Cortosis.

WEAKNESSES

• Ranged Defence - Due to the shape of the weapon, even though it is technically possible to block blaster rounds with it, it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT and might as well be considered useless for that purpose.
• Two-Handed - Since the weapon is two-handed, unless the user has more arms than the average person, they can not wield additional equipment to help in offence or defence and use the weapon at the same time.
• Dying Light - Because the Dark Side resonates so strongly with the weapon, it is anathema to lightsiders who will feel sick and weakened at best, or be in violent agonizing pain at worst. The effect is stronger on those who are more attuned to the light side.
• Force Protection - Items enhanced to protect against direct use of the force completely nullify the alchemical enhancements that allow the weapon to cut as if a lightsaber, leaving it no stronger than a regular alchemized blade.
• Force Null/Suppression - When entering an area where the force is suppressed or otherwise blocked, the weapon loses all force enhancements and its ability to enhance the dark side. However, the lightsaber resistance of the blade is retained as it comes from changes made to the material at a base level from the alchemy used in its creation.
• Droids and Force Dead - The ability to drain knowledge does not work on droids or force dead beings, nor does the draining of life essence.

DESCRIPTION

Crimson Harvest is a scythe crafted by Darth Morta in order to cover potential issues on the battlefield. Limited staying power because of injuries and the destruction of knowledge that may exist only in a foe's head. The main focus of such is the modified blister pod from a sea leviathan, the original creature was able to steal the sentience and life essence of those it killed to empower itself. Darth Morta modified it to harvest the knowledge directly rather than the more esoteric concept of sentience. While in use, the scythe will heal her or whoever else uses it in equal measure to the damage dealt. Only when the foe is killed do the more potent draining abilities of the scythe kick in, as most other times mental defences are too strong for them to work.
