STRENGTHS
- Fleet Ration Friendly: Crews-ade™ is cheap, shelf-stable, easy to distribute, and useful for keeping personnel hydrated during long watches, repair work, combat drills, and shipyard labor.
- Many Crews, Many Blends: The drink comes in several species-safe formulations, making it more practical for a mixed Mandalorian fleet than a single standardized recipe.
- Morale in a Bottle: While not especially impressive as technology, Crews-ade™ has become a minor cultural staple aboard Mythos Fleet vessels due to its joke branding and practical usefulness.
WEAKNESSES
- Not a Miracle Drink: Crews-ade™ does not replace sleep, food, medical care, bacta, or actual recovery. It is just a beverage.
- Check the Label: Different species require different formulas. Drinking the wrong blend may cause digestive distress, dehydration, allergic reactions, mineral imbalance, stimulant sensitivity, or worse.
- Overdoing It: Excessive consumption of stimulant-heavy variants can cause jitters, nausea, headaches, elevated heart rate, and sleeplessness.
- Crew Humor: The name has encouraged countless terrible jokes, including but not limited to "joining the Crews-ade," "fueling the Crews-ade," and "another glorious Crews-ade for the shift roster."
DESCRIPTION
Crews-ade™ began as a joke. After the old Crus-ade™ beverage gained a reputation among Mandalorians as an aggressively branded energy drink for warriors on campaign, Mythos Fleet personnel eventually produced their own unofficial variant. The first batches were mixed by overworked crewmen who claimed that keeping a ship flying through battle required just as much stubbornness as fighting on the ground.
The name stuck immediately.
Unlike its predecessor, Crews-ade™ was not marketed around crusading, conquest, or battlefield zeal. It was made for the people who kept the fleet alive: mechanics, welders, gunners, medics, armorers, pilots, deckhands, engineers, and the exhausted warriors rotating between boarding actions and repair details. It became especially common aboard Mythos Fleet support ships, mobile yards, and Iron Covenant vessels where long shifts and emergency repairs were routine.
Kyr'bes Provisions eventually formalized the recipe, cleaned up the species-safe formulas, and began mass-producing the drink for Iron Covenant use. The branding was left mostly intact because no one could come up with anything funnier, and because several senior Mandalorians privately admitted the pun was stupid enough to be memorable.
Every bottle of Crews-ade™ carries a small warning printed beneath the label:
"For crew use only. Warriors may consume under supervision."
