- Affiliation: The facility is owned by Taeli Raaf, the Sith Lady of Secrets and head of the Order of Shadows. In that regard, the facility is one of the primary bases for the organization.
- Accessibility: The facility is not the easiest location to access by any means, due to the isolated nature of the facility on a planet that does not have much in terms of population. Besides the hostile lifeforms that cover the planet, the laboratory is restricted to anyone that is not invited by the Lady of Secrets or is not a member of the Order of Shadows. A heavy security presence is present, along with several different security measures to protect the facility from Taeli Raaf's enemies.
- Description: The facility is a sprawling complex that is nestled within some mountains on the edge of the planet's ocean. High walls with security towers encircle the place, with a river flowing out like a waterfall that provides hydroelectric power to the facility. The facility itself is built up the side of one of the mountains, with a tiered appearance, but the facilities stretch deep into the mountain as well. Landing pads dot the surface, with two large elevators that can reach different levels of the outside facilities.

Command Center
Located at the top of the facility, partially built into the mountain. The command center oversees all security at the facility, with controls for the shield and cloaking generators located here. The command center is also partially designed much like a starship's CIC with a large holographic display in the center that monitors the planet for any unauthorized access. The various scientists and alchemists at the facility also use the command center when they are tracking the movements of certain test subjects or experiments. Only security officers and project leaders have access to the command center, with the center having several concealed turrets, blast shutters, starship grade armoring, and heavy droid brain powered encryption in the computer systems.

Central Laboratory
Located within the central part of the facility within the carved out mountain, the central laboratory is where the primary projects for the scientists, engineers, and alchemists are developed and tested. It is not uncommon for some half-finished Sithspawn to be on display in the tanks in the lab, with various computer terminals monitoring vitals or progression of chemical substances, alchemical alterations, and genetic treatments on the subject.

Primary Accessway
The primary accessway is the main thoroughfare of the facility, with the various wings splitting off from it. The accessway is designed to be aesthetically pleasing, with several planet specimens gathered from various worlds dotting the area. The accessway leads to the central laboratory, living quarters, cafeteria and supply storage, chemical and genetic sample storage and laboratories, prisoner and test subject cells, hangar facilities, specimen containment, and the west wing research facilities.

Specimen Storage
Located deep under the facility, the Specimen Storage facility acts as a large repository for in-progress experiments. Prototype Sithspawn and organic alchemical creations that still require testing and super soldier experiments are frozen in carbonite or placed in stasis cells before being lowered into individual reinforced containment vaults. Dangerous or volatile compounds are contained here as well, rather than in the normal storage facilities near the laboratory. When a project leader needs access to a subject, there is an internal mag-lev system that can move the containment unit for a subject to the appropriate lab if they do not want or need to transport the subject from storage.

West Wing Research Laboratory
The west wing of the facility is devoted to the more secretive projects of the Order of Shadows. Experimental alchemy processes for both organic and inorganic creations are created here before being tested in the other laboratories. New Sith poisons, substances, mutagens, viruses, and other such projects are also developed in the research labs here. The west wing also contains the data servers, each one protected by virtual intelligences developed at Aurora Industries facilities on Nar Shaddaa. The servers here are connected to other Order of Shadows bases as it also acts as a primary hub in their data network spread across the galaxy. Because of this, encryption and slicing fail-safes is of the highest order to protect their secrets.

Taeli's Personal Laboratory
As it suggests, these chambers are the personal laboratory for Taeli Raaf, the Lady of Secrets and Triumvir of Power within the Sith Empire. Access is completely restricted to only those that accompany her into the chambers. This is where, if not on Amaltanna or Bastion, that the Lady of Secrets works on her own personal projects. Bleeding edge equipment and top of the line alchemical appartus are present, with stores of various potions and compounds needed for her experiments.

- Shadow Legion Garrison - roughly 500 soldiers trained at the facility on Carida, with further training provided through the Spaarti Clone Soldier program.
- Order of Shadows Adepts - roughly 200 Sith of Knight level training, with 36 additional Sith of Master level training that act as the project leaders at the facility.
- Shield Generator - Prevent orbital bombardment or bombing runs by enemy forces if discovered.
- Cloaking Field - Projects a cloaking field much like a stygium cloak for a starship that can cover the facility if necessary.

As she prepared for her mission to infiltrate the Jedi and leave the One Sith, Taeli Raaf, known as Darth Arcanix, wanted to establish a series of secret facilities to continue her research into the dark side of the Force, Sith sorcery, Sith alchemy, and various other projects. One world that caught Taeli's attention was the little known jungle world of Valrar. Relatively isolated from the galaxy, with a sparse population at best and no recorded exploitable resources, the plant was perfect for her purposes. Diverting funds from her company, the recently renamed Aurora Industries, construction on the laboratory began at a site selected by Taeli and her chief lieutenants.
The facility was a sprawling complex that ran up the side of one mountain while simultaneously burrowing into that mountain. A nearby river was diverted to allow a cheap and renewable energy source through hydroelectric harvesters, while deep underground, geothermal energy gatherers such as those found on Sarapin were drilled into place. Not wanting for energy, Taeli wanted only the best equipment and labs at the facilities, with her wealth personally funding the development of the equipment and the stocking of the various alchemical potions and materials needed for their work. By the time Taeli had joined the Galactic Alliance, following the Jedi abandoning the Republic, the facility had become the primary research and development site into Sithspawn creation and boundary-pushing alchemical experiments for the Order of Shadows.
Specimens created at the facility, such as the Z-series Sithspawn, were released into the ecosystem of the planet for the primary purposes of examining the creatures in a more wild state, vastly increasing their population size, and eliminating all other life on the planet except for the Order of Shadows and their creations. In the present day, the facility has not seen any of the native creatures for some time.
The facility, even after Operation Eclipse and the destruction of the Alliance, continues to serve as the primary creation facility for the Order of Shadows of new Sithspawn that will go on to serve the interests of the Sith Empire and the primary facility devoted to rediscovering old dark side sorceries and alchemy processes and enhancing them beyond anything the ancient Sith Lords and Ladies could accomplish through a combination of the dark side and the latest scientific advancements.
