SPECIAL FEATURES

• Due to it being a synthetic pearl, these can be supplied in a variety of colors ranging from black, petroleum, red, blue and white with a luster depending on the polishing rate.
• Very resistant against blemishing compared to regular salt and sweetwater pearls.
• Can be crushed into powder and mixed with lacquer or paint to create stunning visual effects.
• Highly sensitive to the presence of the Dark side, revealing this by means of cracking or even shattering into dust depending on the strength and proximity of the origin of this dark permeation within the force, negating force stealth alltogether.

STRENGTHS

• Highly prized synthetic pearl with perfect luster, making it very suitable for ornate jewelry or ornamentation of other objects.
• Capable of indicating presence of dark side users by cracking or shattering as a clear indication of both the power and proximity of the origin of the dark side strength.
• Easily repaired by simply putting the remains into a suitable form, reheating and introducing ample pressure to retain the shape when cooling off.

DESCRIPTION
A product meant to be used for ornamentation of various products and to be used as a very expensive looking paint or resin lacquer on a variety of materials within the N&Z company's product line up, the Covian pearls were a creation of a few of the top researchers under Liin "Tera" Terallo 's perview, having designed this material with the clear intent of it being a luxury product, a means to display wealth and good taste without having to rely on extremely rare and endangered harvesting of shell and coral pearls within the galaxy, sparing many of the watery worlds the dessecration of their ecological patrimonium and thus offering a more nature friendly alternative.

By introducing the biomolecules to a variety of polymers, a somewhat sturdy and rigid compound could be created which could be either crushed into dust or flakes to be used in lacquer and paint applications or as solid pearls of various sizes and sheens, allowing these 'covian pearls' to be used in jewelry and ornamentation just like regular, natural pearls. It later became obvious that these synthetic pearls had a sort of affinity or rather a rejection towards the dark side of the living force, shattering and cracking whenever a darkside user was near...
