Corellian Dawn: The Shadow's Run

HAVING COMPLETED HER PART IN THE SECURITY MEETINGS ON NABOO
THE UNDERGROUND REBEL KNOWN AS RIA MISRANI SETS HER SIGHTS ON CORUSCANT.
TAKING PART IN THE GALACTIC ALLIANCE'S AMBITIOUS PLAN TO RETAKE
THE FORMER JEWEL OF THE GALAXY. THE YOUNG SLICER JOINS FORCES WITH
A CORELLIAN BY THE NAME OF ELIZA STEELE. WHILE THEY TWO HAVE NEVER MET FORMALLY
THEY BOTH SERVED DURING THE KATHOL LIBERATION. THEY MEET UNDER THE GUISE OF
DARKNESS TO TAKE THEIR DRY RUN AT CORUSCANT BEFORE THE BATTLE...
Ria knew of Eliza but that was it, just talk from the watering hole around the Outback. Not much else, kark was Naboo always this cold? She pulled at her duster and folded her arms across her chest. Maybe it was all that time spent in cramped spaces that made her feel better in the warmth. Or maybe just being out here and exposed, they didn't have to meet in the dark, but Ria thought it'd be a better idea. Ha, jokes on her - she should've just said to meet during the day. What in the blue abyss was takin' this Eliza so long? Well, Ria thought to herself maybe if she'd been better at coordinates, well fething abyss - Ria was raised to slice through computers not navigate them.

Looking up she saw something over the horizon. Chit, finally. Licking the inside of her lower jaw, just between teeth and flesh, the blonde slicer did her best to keep herself warm. It probably wasn't cold, but she was cold, then again she got cold a bit easier these days. She's pretty sure it was something to do with getting a bite on the arm from one of those snake folk. Med pacs are holding off on it, she could just get Bryce to look at it later. Or maybe she's just thinking about it too much?

She stopped bouncing around for a second as the ship known as the Corellian Dawn. Landed, and Ria realized that being cold was probably in her head. She waited for the ship to actually open the ramp, before heading for it. When it did, she walked toward it and saw a petite brunette walk down. "You Eliza?" Ria called out. "Names, Ria Misrani it's nice to finally meet you."

The Corellian Rose (retired)
Naboo
Picking up a slicer from the Underground network to aid in a little project of hers

Seriously if Eliza knew it was going to be this hard getting clearance to enter Naboo's orbit and descend planet side to the Jewel of the Mid Rim, then the fiery Corellisi would have just skipped this part and gone on directly to her destination: Coruscant. Something to do with the death of the Queen? That was news to her. But here Eliza was, pushing the *Corellian Dawn's sub-light engines to get to the rendezvous point anyhow, which the coordinates couldn't be any more messed up. If this was any hint of the quality of slicer this [member="Ria Misrani"] was, then they were going to up poodoo creek as the plan was to quietly test what security measures and parameters were set on the One Sith's capital world…. That was just in case Steele offered to smuggle in GA folk undercover when they decided to poke the bear.

Finally, this slicer was found waiting in an open field several klicks from Theed; not the coordinates given, but not too far off either. The outside temperature gage read a mere 40 degrees fahrenheit. With the combination of the passover and landing, the windchill alone would make it near zero, but only for a few moments… Good thing there was a pot of freshly brewed hot caf in the galley.

The Corellian set the YT-1930 light freighter down with well-practiced ease using it's repulserjets; the landing struts sinking into the grassy earth a bit as they connected. Steele kept the engines going. Hopefully this would be just a grab and run type of deal. The starboard-side boarding ramp was extended and the spacer-dresseed brunette with strolled down the ramp; heavy boots clinking along on the durasteel decking as she did and holstered DL-44 heavy blaster pistol bobbing on her tone right thigh were it was tied off on.

The young blonde called out over the noise of ship's idling engines as she made her way over. "You Eliza? Names Ria Misrani. It's nice to finally meet you."

"I am… Good to meet you too," the petite smuggler nodded, then offered her gloved hand in quick greeting. "Captain Eliza Steele at your service. Now how about I get out of here real fast like and on our way, then we can have a little chat once I make the jump about what I'm needing you for on this trip and your thoughts on best to achieve it."

And with that said, Eliza walked back up the ramp and waited at the top for her guest crew member. As soon as Ria was past the threshold, a hand slapped the panel on the side of the bulkhead and the ship was sealed once again. The Corellisi lead the way down the starboard side passage way.

"You'll find an open cabin to use for this journey on the port-side of this circular corridor just past the main junction. First door on the right, oh and the fresher is all the way down on the left just before the hatch to the primary cargo hold. This is the lounge and a fully stocked galley over there. Help yourself to the caf or any of the food items. The cockpit is center and I'll be up there. You may join me for takeoff or stay here… Just strap in on a bench seat at the holotable, if you do," she smiled, then with no none sense disappeared around the corner and down the center corridor back to the cockpit.

*The Corellian Dawn's specs and deck plan are in bio.

"Right." Ria acknowledged as she stood there in the middle of the ship, watching Eliza head around the corner. Pushing her lips together, Ria opted to dig through her satchel for some flat biscuits. Munching on one she gave a careful look at the room offered to her. She might consider giving the whole sleeping in a bed thing a try. Although she wondered if she could opt for a hammock. From there she had to make a choice, sit down here or sit up there. The young slicer opted to sit up with Eliza, and with that, she headed in the same direction that Eliza had gone off to.

Taking a seat behind the pilot she took another bite of her flat biscuit while flicking off pieces of lint from it. Shoving the last bits into her mouth she strapped herself in and looked about the cockpit. This would be the second time she was allowed up into a cockpit, with Bryce's Shining Star being the first. After a brief moment or two, the Corellian Dawn was off. Sky and clouds were traded for the darkness of space and the stars around them. She'd really only knew of Eliza from the Liberation but that had been about it.

It was nice to be around another lady, really - after months with Bryce and the boys. "Nice ship." She says to break the ice, "biscuit?" Ria offers as she dusts more lint off of it. She'd picked the satchel up somewhere between wandering around the hulk of a ship around Naboo and surviving Sith-hunting shenanigans on Thissipi- whatever it was called.
