OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Clan Mortui
  • Affiliation: Clan Mortui, Adenn Kyramud, Fel Empire
  • Model: Shield
  • Modularity: No

  • Production: Limited
  • Material: Beskar; Plastiplate
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Locks on the sides of the shield allow them to be coupled with other shields to form shield walls
  • When crouching, those using the shields can form a little barrier than can be used by those behind to shoot from
  • The size can be upgraded so that AT-ADs can use them
Strengths:
  • Heavy plating provides very good protection against most weapons. Short of either a direct cannon shot or rocket shot, almost nothing can destroy this
  • This shield was designed for star ship combat, thus thrives within the close confines of a ship
  • Firing slot on the right side of the shield. Excellent to shoot from, and not be shot
Weaknesses:
  • The shield is heavy, and cannot be moved quickly. The fastest one can move with the shield is a very light jog
  • The firing slots can be used against the users. It cannot be closed, and thus if a lucky grenade gets through, those behind the shields can be easily killed
DESCRIPTION
The Conscensis Clypeus is, as stated, a shield specifically designed for boarding. It was only recently designed by Clan Mortui after receiving heavy losses while boarding enemy ships. The shield is designed to, essentially, withstand everything that can be thrown at it within a star ship. It excels in the tight corridors of starships, and thus is lacking in open terrain. While not necessarily good for it, these shields can be used in terrain other than ships. These shields would work well against an entrenched enemy, though crossing no-mans land would be rather difficult. Thanks to being made out of Beskar and plastiplate, the shields can take an enormous amount of damage without being destroyed. This can be counteracted by a good grenade throw, or in open terrain, heavy weapons such as rocket launchers.
