Conquest through Destabilization [OS Dominion of Roxuli]

Post - [18/20]

Watching the unrest he had caused from the monitors in his room, he did not even have to ask, he knew his employer would be satisfied with his efforts. He was so proud of what he had accomplished on Roxuli, he felt cheated looking at the money that had been wired to his account. Dietrich cussed wishing he had asked for double what he had received.

Even though his job was completed, Diertich was not finished. He wanted things to end with a bang. Literally. As the minute touched the number twelve on clocks in Roxuli, the droids still under the influence of Dietrich's slicing rushed to cling on to whatever was closest to them. Civilians, infrastructure, it didn't matter. After finding a victim to latch themselves on, the droids initiated a self destruct sequence. Some people enjoyed watching fireworks but Dietrich thought explosions were more fun. Seconds apart, the droids exploded almost simultaneously both killing civilians and destroying infrastructure.

Dietrich laughed as he watched the helpless suffer and children getting sprayed with the blood of its parents and vice versa. Kark those happy families Dietrich thought as he watched the pain on the faces of the civilians.

Aurek joined her on the second floor once the guard resistance was eliminated on the first. She had moved quickly, identifying the rooms of the children and the governor's bedroom. The first lady had awoken, but she was silenced with the snappy throuwp of a round from Fela's pistol. The governor was nowhere to be seen. Fela cleared the room and adjoining bath but there was no governor. He had to be on the compound somewhere.

While Fela had dispatched her target, Aurek had crept into the rooms of the children and clipped them from their young lives like the tender buds of spring flowers. Sure, it might have been unnecessary to some to kill children, however Sinistra disapproved of martyrs and while the governor's followers would hold them in contempt, the last thing she wanted was the brats to grow up to be revolutionaries.

Fela rejoined him in the hallway, signaling that the main target was not in the master bedroom and so the pair headed for the last room yet to be inspected. The study door swung open slowly and their caution was met by a hail of slugthrower rounds. The governor was across the room, shielded by the massive wooden desk. Aurek swore and reached out his hand, the slugthrower ripped from the governor's grasp. Fela hefted the man off the ground with a force choke, his gasping the only sound in the room. Aurek shot him three times in the chest with his own gun before Fela dropped him to the ground.

Job complete, they headed for the nearest window, shot it out and dived out to the lawn. Fela would be glad to see the end of this assignment, she thought idly as the paid scaled the wall. She was starting to get a sniffle.
