Common Glass. [TSE vs Commenor Yutan]

Lady Kay gave her speech, and almost miraculously, the Sith ships appeared to be pulling away. Maybe they actually had some common sense about them – despite fighting to the last breath in defiance, like he had been originally taught to believe. Regardless, he kept one hand on the stick, the other on the hyperspace handle, ready for them to blast off if he needed them to. This could be a trap, after all. He tried to reach out with the Force in order to sense any impending danger, but he wasn’t nearly as attuned to such things as the other Jedi.

Another ship had arrived, a senator, and Cassius obliged when Kay asked him to open a comm channel to her. It appeared that there could be a diplomatic solution to this after all. While the tension in Cassius’s shoulders eased up, he couldn’t completely let his guard down. He’d seen pirates and smugglers do fake-outs before, and wasn’t about to fall for it this time.

Looking down at the sensor read-outs, he noticed something he hadn’t seen before due to his focusing on the Sith ships in front of him. “Ma’am, I’m picking up the Kingsguard on sensors,” he said, locking in on the scan and tapping a few commands so it would show up on a screen next to Lady Kay. “Would you like to see if we could dock with them?”

Even if Veiere wasn’t with his ship, he would more than likely end up there eventually, and Cassius knew that if they were going to end this conflict, the King and Queen of Commenor would be a stronger force together than they would be apart.

Indeed the Sith ships were pulling away. But it wasn't as though they could all leave. They had to wait until every enemy vessel were gone and with it every threat. Then it was time to go to the surface and provide free medical aid and support for reconstruction of buildings and infrastructure. Whether the Yutanni continued to see her as an evil Empress or not, she was still obligated to help.

The words of [member="Cassius Droma"] inquiring about the Kingsguard brought her out of her thoughts. "Please do. And keep our channels open so that we can have a better sense of what was going on." [member="Veiere Arenais"] was still over there somewhere. She just wasn't exactly sure of where. Was he the reason that the Sith chose to leave? Or was it her? At times she wished that she had the freedom to go to the front lines. But of course she couldn't risk that.

" [member="Lady Kay"] , I'm sure you'll reach this in good health. We have much to discuss. Once you hear this, please, reach out. The Sith Empire did not expect such an overwhelming defeat of the Yutan people after they so carelessly dismissed you and your army. Give me a place to meet and we shall discuss a peaceful end to this conflict before it becomes something more." The frequency went right to the Queen of Commenor from the Zabrak's own channel with the Commenor System Alliance. It was time to bring this to an end and perhaps bring the Queen back into his palm.

"I hope to hear from you soon."

The message from [member="Krest"] came at a surprise. She recognized his voice, having known him ever since she started working for the Senate in the Republic. He had been both friend and foe, having taught her how to shrink her Force signature down so that it could barely be detected. He also had a habit of using things against her, like crushing her precious droid Mrs. Nesbitt, and using her Gwaii Cat companion to spy on her.

Now there was this. Although she had helped him in retrieving family items secured in a tomb on Commenor, allowed him the freedom to capture a traitor, there was no doubt in her mind that she'd have some other price to pay.

Kay looked to [member="Cassius Droma"] with a somewhat saddened expression. "Change of plan. Set in the co-ordinates to Kwenn Station. Hopefully we won't be followed." She didn't even want her husband [member="Veiere Arenais"] to come. She had to take care of this on her own.

She flicked the switch to relay her message back to Krest's private frequency. ~Kwenn Station. It's in unclaimed territory not far from here. I'll have a meeting room arranged for us.~ Unclaimed yes, but Commenor owned half of it. So it wasn't as though she'd be completely on her own. And she had Cassius as well. Not only was he her pilot, but he was her bodyguard as well. She gave him the nod to put the Free Lady into hyperspace.

Hopefully this would end well for her.

Cassius was somewhat surprised, frankly, to hear a message coming straight from the person who was apparently in command of the Sith forces. Was there some type of communication agreement between the two of them? Cassius stopped his course towards the Kingsguard when [member="Lady Kay"] told him there was a change of plans. He hesitated as she told him to set their coordinates for Kwenn Station. Were they going to meet this Sith alone?

He tapped it into the navicomputer - it was already preset. It was close by, and in partially unclaimed territory. Regardless, it was dangerous. With a furrowed brow, he gave a “Yes ma’am,” before setting the coordinates into the hyperdrive. Steadily pushing the silver handle forward, they snapped into hyperspace.

As he watched the dancing waves of blue around them, he briefly considered asking about this, as well. They were going to meet a Sith, alone, on a space station in unclaimed space. As far as he knew, Kay wasn’t Force sensitive, and he was in no way trained enough in the Force to take on a Sith. Maybe there could be a more diplomatic solution to this. If not… Cassius wasn’t sure if he could even hold off a fully trained user of the dark side to give them enough time to escape.

Krest smiled at the message once it was received and immediately went to his own ship. With him now was the leaders of Yutan, all handcuffed and guarded by the Sith Troopers the Zabrak had. They were coming with him, for reasons that would soon become clear. To the location [member="Lady Kay"] had given him. It was a quick flight for him and he very well could have arrived first, but he waited in the room she had reserved for it.

There he would sit alone with his guards just out of sight and wait for the Queen to arrive.

Kay had sent word to her people on Kwenn Station to set up a room for them, and to let them know of [member="Krest"] 's arrival, just before [member="Cassius Droma"] had put them into hyperspace.

The journey there was quiet, both Kay and her pilot in their own thoughts. She knew that he disagreed with this course of action, she could feel it radiating from him. After he brought them out of their short journey, she looked over to him. "Cassius, you don't have to come with me if you don't want to. Kwenn Station belongs to us in part. Commenor is half owner, so we have people here. This isn't exactly what I had in mind that wpuld happen...but trust in the fact that if they wanted to kill us, then they'd have done so already." It didn't shake her feelings of foreboding though.

As the Free Lady docked with the station, Kay unbuckled herself and got to her feet, contemplating over whether or not she should tell him of her Force sensitivity or not. That could very well become known to him and people often became angry when they found out. She looked down to her pilot and allowed her Force signature to no longer be hidden, giving it room to grow from the small size that she had shrunk it down to. "Whatever happens, I need you to trust me. Whatever the Sith say, remember that it's just a tactic in their game, to breed seeds of doubt. Just be careful and don't attack him, not unless I give word. We can't provoke him."

Kay took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. She exited the Free Lady and stepped in, bowing her head to those that she passed by, many of whom were under her employ. Once at the dark meeting room she walked in, spotting Krest right away as he was bathed in the light reflected off the table. She approached and bowed her head before sitting herself across from him, never taking her eyes off of him. "Thank you for meeting with me and for ceasing your hostilities against the Yutannis..." No doubt she'd find out what she owed him soon enough.

Ulic stood at the end of the landing pad awaiting [member="Lady Kay"] 's arrival. He no longer adorned his casual Corellian robes as he did on Commenor but instead the metallic battle armor graced his torso as he awaited the Free Lady's descent into the atmosphere. Once he saw the ships descent he folded his hands behind his back, his right hand grasping his left wrist firmly as he stood almost as a soldier would at attention.

When Lady Kay descended the ramp and bowed to those in her employ Ulic bowed in return to her - a low deep bow of respect. As her and [member="Cassius Droma"] passed, he rose from the deep bow. His Azure eyes following them slowly as they walked along the bridge. He was quiet in his movements and mannerisms and didn't speak at all - even through feeling the Aura of the Jedi Master expand first on the ship then as she left.

The feeling that radiated off of her wasn't the same feeling he had on Commenor around her; however, this didn't necessarily take him by surprise more or less just gave him a higher sense of admiration for her. Everyone had secrets, even him. He slowly took stride behind the two following them into the chambers. His goal wasn't to be there to speak with the Sith as hers was, it wasn't to find a diplomatic solution to the resulting discourse. His mission was pure and simple protect the queen.

While it was true that if the Sith wanted her dead she would probably be dead, and even if she was to be assaulted within the meeting room she could probably hold her own against him. This dark presence held secrets of its own and not all Sith killed through blunt force, but rather had a more subtle hand in the destruction of their enemies.

Cassius dodged her gaze as she addressed him, trying to pretend he was fiddling with the controls. He paused, however, when he felt the presence of Lady Kay grow to immense size. Slowly, he looked up to her. She was Force sensitive. Not just Force sensitive, but powerful, even an adept like Cassius could see that. Instead of confusion, Cassius found understanding. She was the leader of a powerful faction in the galaxy. That already made her a target, but being a Force user, one aligned with the light side, would put an even bigger target on her back. The Empire and First Order were pounding the Silver Jedi, and they didn’t need that kind of attention.

“I understand,” Cassius said. “I’ll follow your lead.”

And follow her he did – down the ramp and into the main station. He did a quick nod of the head to the man who had come out to meet them. Cassius wasn’t sure who he was, but figured he was some sort of military commander. Regardless, Cassius kept close to Kay as they made their way to the meeting room, his head on a swivel. His apprehension was warranted, yes, but he had to tell himself that he had to remain calm. The fact that Kay could use the Force was a factor he had to consider, now.

"How good to see you again [member="Lady Kay"] , you've been keeping up with your training I see." Pleasantries. Krest was all about it, and he even bowed his head to [member="Cassius Droma"] and [member="Ulic Adraya"] as they followed her in. "A Jedi and a.. Well I'm not sure what the younger one is. No Veiere? I thought for sure you'd bring him here." He was taunting her now, knowing full well what had transpired on Yutan had both of them involved.

The taunting smile quickly faded as even his aging eyes grew sad. "When we dropped out of hyperspace we began our bombardment. For a planetary leader to remove any defenses for their people, it's wrong. When they seceded from your government I assumed they could hold their own. Instead, they had nothing and their leaders demanded they kill themselves for these same leaders sense of pride." His fist tightened as he stared out a window. "This will not happen again. Regardless of our feud with the Jedi I did not want this.. Slaughter." It was true for the most part. This wasn't the sort of trap he had wanted to set.

Kay just gave [member="Krest"] a polite smile as he taunted her, most especially when he mentioned her husband, [member="Veiere Arenais"] . He was already sizing up [member="Cassius Droma"] and [member="Ulic Adraya"] and getting a sense of what they were. She hoped that they would be able to keep all of this quiet. That was something that she'd have to get into later when they were on their way home.

She folded her hands on top of the table while he spoke, nodding her head a little. There were times that Krest and shown honour and she had hoped that he would continue on that path, instead of going down a darker one. "I had no idea. With Viktor boasting about his military background and ability to command fleets, I had figured that they'd be able to hold their own. But if they did nothing...I am surprised that they would force us to remove ourselves while they had no back up plan. It certainly wasn't what I expected would happen. But then I didn't expect that they would turn on my like that..." In truth she figured that she could win them over as she had done with many. But Viktor wouldn't allow that.

Ulic sat quietly listening to the conversations take place. He kept his composure and in no way hid his force aura so the fact that the Sith guessed he was a Jedi was no surprise to him. A small smirk began to form on the left side of his face as [member="Kest"] and [member="Lady Kay"] began to converse. He was actually rather interested in knowing how [member="Cassius Droma"] felt about the situation.

It was obvious that the Sith wanted something but wanted to play with his prey first before getting down to the nitty-gritty part of the conversation. Classic Sith tactics, but having gauged the power of the woman sitting in front of him Ulic understood that she wasn't a person to be played with - she probably knew as much as he did the game that was a foot here.

Only time will tell how this verbal altercation comes to an end. Ulic could only hope that Lady Kay didn't sacrifice her dignity for the sake of remaining Neutral in front of such a monster.
