Mumbled voices echoed throughout the hall.

Buyers from all corners of the galaxy gathered here today. Auctions like these did not happen every day, so people were not wanting to let this opportunity pass by. With the Maw now reduced to ashes, items of the Sith started to appear in the Underworld. Lightsabers, starfighters, holocrons, Sithspawn, you name it. More than likely it was for sale here. All of these items made men such as Halbu very rich. The Aleena had brought many items here today in hopes to score big. He knew what these buyers were after. Each of the, hoping to harness the power the Maw once held. To become dark siders themselves.

It wasn't his job to care, only to sell.

Three strikes of a gavel alerted the crowd to find their seats. The auction was about to begin. As the group made their way to their respective areas, the head of the event spoke out.

"Greetings everyone, I thank you for joining us today. Our auction today will start off with this magnificent specimen."

An ear piercing shriek rang out from behind the hold wall. A giant cage soon hovered out onto the stage, inside holding a massive beast. Murmurs of excitement made their way around the auction area.

"This here is a Ts'Kiza, more commonly known as a Branchlurker. These creatures were used as assault creatures for the Brotherhood of the Maw. And folks, you are in luck today. This one here is a female...and fertile. Our auction will start off at 1,500,000 credits. Do I hear any takers?"

In the middle of the seats, a hand rose into the air, confirming the bid. The auction was now underway. Sitting back in his chair, Halbu watched with great interest, waiting for his items to make their way to the stage.

Visions and nightmares.

Usually, it was Vera who received them and used them to guide her parents, but Valery had been up for several nights now because of them. To an alarming extent, and her husband had certainly noticed her being up so much. So after a long conversation with him, she told Kahlil about the visions and nightmares regarding Kyrel Ren. They had killed him at Exegol, but after his attempt to possess Valery, something lingered.

Not his presence, but faint traces of his evil.

"This armor..." Valery began as they landed on Osseriton, the planet she had tracked down as the source. "It's not the one he had when we fought him. It's an older one but I still feel it's important we take it." She looked at him with a pained expression through her tired eyes. They weren't as bright and fiery as usual, but still, very determined.

"There, in that old, abandoned prison. How uh, should we proceed?" She rubbed her eyes and looked at him for ideas. For a Jedi Shadow, she seemed awfully uncertain.

"From when the Ren still fought for the First Order."

From when Kyrel was a story told to him as a boy. He watched Valery for a moment before reaching out to gently touch her shoulder. Gave her a comforting smile. He knew what she went through with him. The possession of his body. Feeling her gone was a breaking point for him. She needed this. And he'd be here with her every step of the way.

"We walk in. These kinds of places, you just need to look like you belong and they won't stop you. Act smug, if you can. Really helps sell the bit."

It was far from the first time he'd walked right into an underground action, after all. He flashed a grin before lifting his head and walking right for the front door.

"Follow my lead."

"Sold! 765,000 credits do the Zabrak down in the front."

A cheer of excitement, followed by grumbles of disappointment, rang throughout the hall as the exotic sword collection rolled off of the stage. It would fill the warrior's collection quite nicely. About a quarter of the items had rolled across the stage, meaning that Halbu's listings would soon appear. Turning to his left, he watched as the backroom doors swung open once more. Out hovered a medium-sized metal closest with some unknown inscription on it. Making its way onto the stage, the auctioneer started his spiel once more.

"Now ladies and gentlemen, a real piece of Sith history is up for grabs. Open the doors!"

With a dastardly creak, the metal doors opened wide for the audience below. Small amounts of fog rolled out of the chamber, only adding to the creepiness.

"Here now is the battle armor used by the great Sith Master Kyrel Ren Kyrel Ren . This alone can strike fear into the hearts of your enemies. For a chance to own this beauty of war, our auction will start off at 4 million credits. Who will start us off?"

Dozens of hands raised into the air, all signaling to bid. Halbu simply smiled as he watched the credits begin to flow in.

The hand on her shoulder and comforting smile made Valery instantly feel better. She took a deep breath, calmed her body and mind, and shot her husband a grateful smile. Time and time again, his support proved to just be invaluable to her. Today was not going to be an exception, even if they were dealing with an old piece of armor that once belonged to Kyrel Ren Kyrel Ren , her greatest enemy.

"Just walk in and act smug?" Valery smirked and wrapped herself around his arm, posture straight and a look of superiority on her face. "I can do that. Shadows can go undetected without the Force, too." She winked and followed his lead inside the building.

Just in time for the auction to start.

Everybody was so invested in it that the couple didn't stand out at all. They were bidding on items they wanted, drinking and getting more energetic, as the Sith armor was revealed. Valery's grip on her husband's arm tightened a little, and she looked up at him to whisper, "That's a lot of credits...and I just can't understand that anybody would want something so dangerous." She sighed and set her feelings aside to focus on the mission. "Do you want to throw out a fake bid? Gund blazing? Or go after whoever buys it here?"

<Let's stir it up a little first, see how they react. Keep an eye out on the guards, mm?> Kahlil spoke through their bond, keeping the ever calm smile on his face. Before he abruptly stood up. Arms crossed, his expression shifted to more annoyance.

"What is this sham? Sith armor? On Kyrel Ren, master of the Ren and known hater of the Sith? You can't even be bothered to get your facts right with how much you're asking? It's either a fake, or this establishment has no respect for the artifacts it procures and only cares about the credits."

One by one, heads turned towards the back of the room to take a look at the individual who spoke.

Falling silent, the whole room was now focused on the mid-aged man. How dare someone speak out at a private event like this? It was not illegal, but it was very much frowned upon. Each person here was worth billions, possibly trillions of credits each. There was no need to act like children who did not get there way. Clearing his throat, the auctioneer spoke out towards the rude man.

"Excuse me sir! Were you friends with Master Ren yourself? I thought not. Your claims mean nothing here. My assumption is that most people here wanted the armor for its power, not for using it in a history lesson. Now, please return to your seat so that this auction may continue."

Angry scowls slowly turned back towards the front of the room where the armor still sat. A slight hand wave was signaled by the auctioneer, letting his guards know to keep an eye on the man at the back of the room. Quick intermission was given as they prepared to start once more. From the middle of the room, the Aleena crime boss still had his eyes locked on the man. Hopping out of his seat, he slowly strode over towards him.

"Don't mind the auctioneer, he is always this way. I happen to notice that you took interest in the armor because of its historical significance. Are you looking to try and acquire the item today?"

Halbu did not actually care why this man wanted the armor. He was simply trying to upsell it, putting more credits in his pocket at the end of the day.

<I've got it,> Valery communicated back before her fiery gaze shifted around to find the guards. Not just the ones at the front who guarded the armor and auctioneer, but all those around them. If they needed a quick exit, she wanted the best path that helped them avoid as much fighting as possible. Because as sickening as all of this was, she saw no need to harm anybody over this armor.

One way or another, they'd get their hands on it though.

Kahlil then called out, and Valery watched while she tried to suppress a bit of a smirk. She didn't know her husband was this good at being annoying but loved every second of it. Sadly, there was no reaction she could really do much with. At least, not until someone decided to approach them.

Valery looked at the Aleena with a raised eyebrow and briefly glanced at Kahlil before speaking. "Perhaps, but only for the right price, of course." Valery looked back at the armor again and sighed internally. Buying it would definitely be the easiest way, but they did not have the credits for it.

This newcomer, however, certainly did.
