So when he saw that she was going in for a jab he flinched some and leaned to the side to avoid it and taking a step back. After that he'd go on the offensive and try to strike at her with the longer wooden blade. Swinging it upwards from the side.

Continuing to watch I see what [member="Kurenai Yumi"] does and it manages to get past [member="Savoh Iaht"] defenses, Interesting continuing to watch I see Savoh try to attack Kurenai, could work though I don't think it will. Continuing to watch wondering how my Sensi will respond.

Her strike against [member="Savoh Iaht"] did not have a lot of power behind it, Kurenai more just solidifying that her strike met, unlike herself others did not have any sort of regeneration, and it would be bad to accidentally break one of her student legs. Her staff swing missed, her opponent counter attacking with with a upward slice, Kurenai attempting to move her blade under the incoming sword, trying to push the swing up faster to miss her, Kurenai following up with another butt attack, aiming to jab the staff into her opponents chest.

Do to [member="Kurenai Yumi"] and her parry, Savoh was now off balance. His body stepping forwards some with his blade. This allowing him to get hit in the side of his ribs. But given that she wasn't trying to hit him to hard it didn't really hurt. But he did feel knocked back some, taking a step back from her. In the corner of his eye, the Ubese could see [member="Rex Taff"] evaluating their little duel. Taken a defensive stance he would step to the side as if encircling her. "I hope I'm not being a disappointment, I'm trying something new with these two wooden blades." He didn't normally duel-wield. Savoh also wondered when she'd want to get back to her student.

As per tradition of Atrisian Kurenai performed a small bow to the Ubese, before turning back to [member="Rex Taff"], "It is your turn Red, I would like to see this staff skills of yours in action, I have not faced many Chiss in my life, more so one with military training".

Bowing to her, I go to the weapons rack and pick up a quarterstaff moving into position, I ready myself for [member="Kurenai Yumi"] to attack me. "Whenever your ready Sensi"

Kurenai returns her own bow, entering an offensive stance once again, awaiting [member="Rex Taff"] to get ready, "Be prepared, I won't being going nearly as easy on you as Savoh". With a quick step, sand being thrown below her boots Kurenai made her first striking, seeming to go for another jab but stop short, spinning the Nagamaki in a circle, bringing the practice blade around and down aiming for the Chiss's head, the wooden weapon making a whooshing sound and it sliced through the air.

Moving slightly to the side as he had expected a jab like she had done before to [member="Savoh Iaht"], then seeing her hands change to an overhead strike instead he moves his quarterstaff top to deflect the blow, feeling it glance off the staff he goes for a side hit on her left hand side.

The wooden staffs make a loud crack at they meet with one another, Kurenai blade glancing off of the angled quarter staff in the process, Rex moving the weapon down in a swinging motion against her exposed hand. In response Kurenai let go with her left arm, pulling the staff closer to her body, pivoting the weapon against her waist and swinging the blade towards Rex's waist in a wide slicing motion.

Not expecting the move that she made, Rex's eyes go wide as it hits him, feeling the sensation go throughout his body, he feels on fire again as the burn marks from the Lighting flare up, he quickly retreats in his mind to his calm place and starts doing niman, making it look like he is aiming for her hands again he instead whips it around for her right leg instead, still consciously not tapping to far into the force, just enough to perform these moves without the pain.

Savoh gave a slight bow back before moving to put his practice weapons on the rack. He had considered himself a novice with them, but after hearing her words it made him feel better about the dual. If it had been a real fight tough, he would've lost a leg and have been stabbed in the chest. Taking a place to the side he watched them perform their dual, seeing that [member="Kurenai Yumi"] wasn't going as easy on her new student.

Kurenai tightens her grip on the shaft as the strike meets its mark, the tension on the wooden weapon pushing against her arms as the blade bent a bit while meeting its mark, before both fighters leapt back, putting distance between each other. He could handle himself much better in combat, that was a given, though at the end of the day the Kurenai would still have much to teach the two in combat, armed and unarmed.

As the two stood apart she took a defensive stance, awaiting Rex's attack something she was excited to see, wondering what methods and trick he would use to try and best her. As the Chiss took off she readied her staff, watching her opponent coming for what seemed to be another hand strike, though his mix up half swing, a fluid action was rather impressive. In an attempt to counter Kurenai moves her shaft over her head and behind, hopping to catch the attack before it hit, following up with running the blunt blade along the shaft with another butt smack aimed at Rexes, well butt.

As his sensi side step him and lift her staff over her head, recognizing the move she is about to make, using a quick back flip he hasn't had to do in years not since boot camp spinning back up, "geez haven't had to do that in an age" he has to be more crafty about his moves, again going for a side hit he changes it half way through to a hit towards her shoulder blade instead.

Kurenai was not expecting Rex to perform a back flip, and not a heavily force induced one at that, interesting. From what she had seen the Chiss's fighting style, was quickly and agile, a acrobat like person, perhaps Ataru would be a decent fighting style to add into his number of forms with Niman. As Rex attacked Kurenai decided to to on the offensive, thrusting her weapon forward, letting it go for a moment, the pole skidding over her hands aimed at Rex's chest, just catching it at the base of the shaft before it left her hand for good, giving Kurenai extra reach.

Flicking his staff back upwards trying to move his sensi staff and trying to throw her off balance for even a second, he then aims his staff at her chest and jabs towards it hoping it works.

Kurenai's Nagamaki gets pushed up and out of the way, now past Rex's head, her opponents start hitting her square in the chest as he came under her blow, sending Kurenai pushed back a bit, a small gasp escaping her mouth in the process. "Hmmm not bad, you have defiantly been trained well, but then again that's what I would expect from the Chiss very strict from what I have seen", she took an idle pose, not dissuaded by being hit , herself being more an attacker the defender, often falling back on her vampire powers to heal from any wound. "We can go for another round if you wish or break for lunch,, I know I have not eaten much since the events on Tython".

Then nodding at [member="Kurenai Yumi"] again "Thanks for the duel it's been a while since I have done something like that, I may need to brush up on my more orthodox skill sets." Then as if remebering something "Before I forget I will take you advice on Groups and I think I will join the CSA." Sending off a message to their leader and Masters of their gray order, he finally feels like himself again.

Savoh clapped some after their quick duel was finished. Applauding the two of them for their performance and skill. However, after talking about lunch and getting something to eat. Eating was something that he always figured to be a hassle. Needing to remove any breathing mask or helmet. Making his lungs a little sore. Also given the fact that liquefied food was always easier to consume. Yeah he could eat hard food, but sometimes it was annoying. "Well, I don't mind what ever the two of you want to do." The Ubese said before [member="Rex Taff"] spoke of something for him. After seeing the blades Savoh felt a little breathless. Thinking of them as being such good quality. Gently talking them from the Chiss he'd speak. "I don't know what to say Rex...Thank you."
