Coincidental Chiss

[Kurenai Yumi]

Kurenai gave a nod to [member="Rex Taff"], "I can see that, unlike other Sith you do not lust for power or a quick route to gaining ones abilities like so many other Sith, or are consumed with hate and want for revenge, driving you towards the dark side', unlike herself when young, the aftermath of order 37 being a plague on the young girls mind, a deep embedded hate for Mandaloirans, clones and the Galactic Empire. Fortunately her spiral into the dark side was qwelled with the constant war, herself learning to vent emotions in a controlled state, soon finding friendship among the rebel alliance back 800 years ago, love and now a family seeming to balance things out perfectly for her.

"There is no rush in your choice Rex, you may wish to remain independent and help as you see fit, similar to the Ubese's mercenary work, but more morally motivated, not that I am saying your a bad person Savh". Stepping into the main building she led to duo to the side training area, the ground covered in sand to help soften 'impact' a man dressed in a traditional Samuri outfit standing in the middle meditating. "It has been a while Kurenai, how have things been? tracked down the children yet"? The man gave a small laugh before standing up, his hair a dark blue and in a long pony tail, a Tachi at his side, the youthful look betraying their actual age of late 30s, but that was typical of a Jin, as well as their short stature.

"Rex, Savoh this is my husband, Takeshi Yumi, Tekeshi, this is Rex Taff, my new student and a.... sparing partner Savoh Iaht, say hello you two".

"A pleasure to meet you Tekeshi," He says in a way that's like someone meeting nobility, bowing to him. Then allowing myself back up I stand as if on inspection in the military waiting for everyone else to move.

Savoh followed listening to [member="Kurenai Yumi"] talking about factions and independence. To be honest he did consider himself a real part of the Sovereignty. Just that the only reason he wasn't official was to keep that better sense of self and more liberty in his actions. Always giving himself an easy way out. He also wasn't in any way offended by her comment. Simply nodding respectfully afterwards.

After following her to the training area he gazed at the man before them through his helmet. Feeling a little disrespectful with it on, knowing that it was more well mannered to take off things like hats and other head ware when in the establishment of another. "It's a pleasure to meet you sir. Kurenai has been showing around your lovely planet and home." He said, bowing his head some. Savoh did feel a little silly for pretty much being a sparing partner. Although by this point he was also starting to feel like a student under her along with Rex, and he was sure that he was gonna learn quite a bit from her.

While introductions were still being done he felt [member="Savoh Iaht"], feel silly and he immediately felt bad for the Ubese, he had after all asked the Savoh to come along and hadn't fully explained to either side why he want the Savoh there, beyond wanting him as a training partner, he would need to fully explain later, because he had felt a kinship with the Savoh. "Actually Sensi and Tekeshi, Savoh is more than just a training partner, I do owe him for looking after me while I was out cold because of the Sith that you and the others faced." Making a point of it to both the Savoh and [member="Kurenai Yumi"].

Takeshi returned a bow to the Chiss, such an action being a very formal and normal thing among Jin and Atriasians, "It is a pleasure to meet you too [member="Rex Taff"], it is alawys nice when Kurenai takes on new student, how many would that be 3 in the last 20 years or so"? Kurenai place a finger to her lip thinking about it for a second, "Yes there was Kiso, but she was not force sensitive, then there was Karren, but that was more a few lesson and so, not a proper teacher student relationship, Rex here will be my first real apprentice since the children, and yes they are fine, has Tanasuki not payed you a visit lately"? She finished off in a slightly humorous way, both knowing the answer to that question already, which was a no.

The two then turned there attention back to the two pupils, "being a tour guide are we now, and thank you, though with less people around it has been easier to keep clean, he stated, bowing to the Ubese. As for Rexes next comment, "Ahh forgive me, I kind of forgot about your being fried by the Sith and all, that was a very kind action o-", "Did I hear that right a Sith, Kurenai what have you been doing, causing trouble again"? The woman quickly turned back around with an annoyed expression, "hey, he started it, besides the guy was a wanted criminal, its my job", "ha ha ha, I am just kidding, your temper has not changed a bit sweetheart, so tell me you two, how has things with my wife been so far"?

Savoh eyed the Chiss for a moment listening to his explanation. He wasn't sure how to truly respond, so he simply nodded his head. Once again feeling somewhat glad that it was not him that got shocked. But he wasn't entirely sure he heard right, but 3 students in the last 20 years. Perhaps she was much older then he'd thought. After all he thought a master so young looking was a bit odd.

He then thought about how to answer Takeshi's question. Since he's only really known for a couple hours, and most of that time was in hyperspace with Rex. But overall the experience has been pleasant. "Well Sir, I feel like my time with Kurenai has been nice. I appreciate the respect she has shown me. Given that Ubese haven't had the best track record."

Listening to everything that was said between the two, and making a note of the amount of students that [member="Kurenai Yumi"] has had over the years. Then thinking about what she had already taught him, "Sir, my Sensi has already taught me quite a bit within the last 3 hours that I have been her apprentice for and quite honestly I don't think I could ask for a better teacher".

Takeshi gave an understanding nod to [member="Savoh Iaht"], force users and the Ubese did have a shaky past, something he would have to take into account, despite both of them never being apart of the conflict between their race and the Jedi. "Well despite the ways she act Kurenai can be quite considerate of others and possible sensitive subject, even though I can say with certainty that neither of have committed such acts against your people will will try not to make you feel... uncomfortable". "Really, despite my looks? you are rather blunt".

The two shared another light chuckle before turning attention back to the Chiss apprentice, "Calling yourself a sensi now I see", "It is the most appropriate title, I am not a master yet, and the Dark Acolytes don't really have a proper ranking structure", "Well that makes sense, and Rex, it is nice to see thing are going well, I can say with certainly Kurenai is a very one of a kind teacher... and judging by both your gets ups the two of your are soldiers? Not so many force users with a similar past like that, I can see your three becoming goo friends". That was no exaggeration, just for the get go he could feel that this new student made Kurenai seem a little more relaxed and emotional, something he had not been since the children left for their own reasons.

Listening to both of them talk again "Yes I was a soldier for a time with the chiss defense front, however I left for my own reasons." Clearly looking at his feet when he says his own reason feeling terrible for not being able to explain why yet. Then looking back up again "Thank you all the same for asking." Then hearing a beep, he looks at his communicator "I'm sorry if you will excuse me I have something to collect for [member="Savoh Iaht"], I will be back in 10 minutes or so". Then taking his leave from them he walks back out the door and to a weapons shop that he had made a request with before arriving for a weapon that would be able to stand up against a light-sabre.

"I wouldn't really call myself a soldier." Savoh replied, "But I have seen my fair enough share of conflict." The Ubese added. He felt glad that there wouldn't be any hard feelings between the two of them. Being Ubese among force users. "Thank you for your kind words Mr. Takeshi." Referring to his comment about them being good friends.

He was also glad to be spending time with someone that seems to be quite a well rounded force user. Especially if what [member="Kurenai Yumi"] said about teaching [member="Rex Taff"] in both the dark and light side of the force. Which it sounded like she wasn't going to push the Jedi or Sith ideologies onto him. Then he turned to Rex as he spoke of getting something for him. Pretty quickly he got an idea of what he was getting him. Something to stand up to a light saber would be useful if he was training against one. Although he had a vibro-bayonet for his rifle. It probably wouldn't be as good as a full blade.

Takeshi, smiled a bit, glad he had been correct in his assumption, though at the same time understanding of the Chiss's reluctance to reveal much information about his past, "no need to explain yourself, everyone has secrets and personal events that are hard to bring up or talk about". "I too left my home planet for reasons that would best be kept aloof, so do not think you are the only on here Rex". Both him and Kurenai gave and odd look at Rex due to the sudden beeping, both a little quizzical about what is meant, "oh a gift of sort, well best hurry and do not get lost", both gave a wave as the Chiss left the mansion, only just remembering the small stop they made along to way at the weapons store.

"Well [member="Savoh Iaht"], I can say with certainly that all of us here have seen quite a bit of combat... some more then others", "What does you mean by that hmmmmmm"? the woman remarked poking Takeshi in the cheek, "Nothing, nothing". Kurenai gave a short huff before motioning the Ubese to follow her, walking into the middle of the training area, herself picking up a Nagamaki from a weapon rack, the wooden construct having a many array of blunt weapons for sparing practice. "Well while we wait for Rex, I was thinking of a little sparing session, just to see where you skill is at Savoh".

Arriving back at the house I enter managing to find my way back to the training area and stand off to the side watching as [member="Savoh Iaht"] and [member="Kurenai Yumi"] practicing with blunt weapons standing next to Takeshi, Asking "so when did you and my Sensi meet?" contining to watch the duel.

Savoh would follow [member="Kurenai Yumi"] without hesitation into the training area. Looking at the weapon rack some. Feeling a little nervous that he was going to disappoint her. As he eyed the blunt wooden weapons he wondered. "I see..." He also wasn't sure if he should call her by her name, or Sensi. He gently tapped the ground with the tips of his shoes. Just to let his artificial legs calibrate some before the sparring. Also limbering up his cybernetic hands under his gloves.

"So uhh, I suppose for a quick spar we won't need to go too rough huh?" He spoke, not wanting either of them to get a concussion. Walking up to the weapon rack he wondered if he was aloud to use any of the practice weapons, or if he was gonna need to go in hand to hand. Which he was something he felt honestly competent in.

Kurenai did a few practice swings of her Nagamaki, getting a feel for the weapons before taking and idle pose, "Yes, this is just a simple spar, nothing more, if you wish you can go all out, but it is just a test to see your skill, do not worry I will be doing the same thing with [member="Rex Taff"] once he returns". She observed the Ubese as he looked through the weapons rack, "Feel free to use what ever weapons takes your fancy, more then one if nessassary, where it be a pole arm, one handed or two handed weapons".

While the two readied for their practice session Takeshi watched from the side, giving the Chiss a small nod as he walked back into the sparing area, though was not really expecting the question soon posed. "When did I meet Kurenai, well it was back when she was still a mercenary, ran into her while she was on a solo mission of sorts, my position then was... complicated, similar to yours in a way, leaving home and just kind of nowhere to go". "I more or less decided to tag along with their group, in return help her with the force and taught her some interesting things along the way, though Kurenai has always been the more combat type". Though being around 19 years ago, the memories where still as clear as back then, awkward, kind of funny.

"Hmm, I seem to be finding more and more people who are similar to me, but if you managed to find and create a home then perhaps there is more hope in my future than I thought" He says reflectively. "So if your a force user, have you ever taken an apprentice?, Also do you have a personal Light-sabre?" Quickly realizing what he had asked, "Sorry you don't have to answer sometimes curiosity gets the best of me." Continuing to watch [member="Kurenai Yumi"] and [member="Savoh Iaht"] duel watching both carefully, assessing their abilities and create new ways to combat them.

After not much more thought Savoh decided what he would use. Picking up a two Wakizashis. One Short, and the other longer. Giving each a quick backwards twirl after picking them up. Getting a feel for them. He liked it. He wasn't much of a melee fighter, but he felt like this was fitting. Looking back up at [member="Kurenai Yumi"] through his helmet he nodded. "Alright I'm ready when you are." He said before taking an Idle/defensive stance with the two wooden weapons. He had a feeling he was knocked on his rear, but he felt ready. Wishing for her to make the first strike to he can better have an idea who he was dealing with. Then he'd try to block and counter

She gave a small raised eye brow at the Ubese choice of weapons, so he was a duel wielder of sorts, that would work out fine, "My son favours that type of fighting style, taught him the basics and all, this will be interesting if I do say so myself, after wards if you are interested we can also try hand to hand combat". Looking at [member="Savoh Iaht"] she observed his stance, defensive but also idle, the type of stance one would use if wanting to change up tactic and go on the attack, or a lure of sorts, guess she would have to find out if it was true or not. Starting the duel Kurenai began with a quick center thrust, wanting to see how the Ubese would react.

"There is also hope, one is always able to put their past behind and start fresh if my experience is anything to go by, but in a sense you have already begun that trip", he replied to a comforting tone. "No no it is fine, but yes, though I do not use it that often, kind of a Jin tradion, more focused on bladed weapons and materials arts then the use of a sabre". This young Chiss proved to be quite the curious one, so may questions, which he was happy to asnwer.

Savoh would look up and down her stance before practically flinching as she went for a quick thrust. "Ah!" He exclaimed clearly being caught off guard. Putting up his wooden swords in a sort of "X" pose. catching her practice blade between the two and stopping it from reaching his chest. Now seeing that the dual was on. Then the Ubese would raise his arms and swords upwards. Bringing her sword up with his and using the longer blade to parry it to the side and he'd bring the smaller one back then extend his arm out in a thrust of his own. Perhaps his idea would work.

"Thank you Takeshi" He says nodding, then watching as [member="Kurenai Yumi"] started the battle with a straight jab the same way his drill instructor used to, smiling at the memory of those sessions, I almost missed what [member="Savoh Iaht"] did with his blades, using the longer one to take her guard while the smaller one would go underneath smart move but if I was you with two weapons, I would rather aim at hands make them think I was trying to disarm the opponent before attempting anything in the center, divide and conquered their attention and ultimately take them down. However I also knew that could work against you which is why I favor double bladed weapon make your opponent worry about two weapons and you only have to focus on the one weapon between your hands with two ends. Keeping that thought to myself I continue to watch them duel.

The small cross guard on the Nagamaki was caught in the X shape made by, halting her attack, forcing Kurenai to take a step back as she swiped at her with the longer blade. "That was a good parry", again she would press the attack, performing a low sweep with a following butt jab similar to how a solider would swing the end of his blaster at an opponent.

"It is not problem Rex", he replied, watching the duel go on, plain to see that Kurenai was going easy on the Ubese, refraining from using force powers and her full combat skill, but still putting her opponent through the ropes, typical of a teacher breaking in a new student. His gaze glance back to the Chiss, the blue skinned male looking to be deep in thought about the current duel, getting a smile out of the Jin, 'Kurenai sure had an eye for talent'.
