Coincidental Chiss

[Kurenai Yumi]

Kurenai stretched her shoulder after leaving the bar, the bones cracking slightly, tonight turned out to be, interesting like some sort of bad joke a Hutt would come up with. A Zabark a Chiss energy Vampire and Gen'dai walk into a bar, it brought a small chuckle to the usually stoic in nature woman, she was surprised no one died, or was hurt in the slightest.

In addition at the end of the dat she obtained a new student, again on Tython just like her last one, any more and it would start to feel a bit odd, but in all she could not complain. [member="Rex Taff"] seemed like a promising student, already attuned in the force a little and judging from his weapons was a skilled fighter in some reguard, but he would need to be tested first before anything else.

"So Taff, tell me how did you end up on Tython"? it was an odd place for a non force user to go, more so to some dingy bar in the middle of no where, he did not seem like a slowly criminal or merc, so what was his story.

"I came to tython, to try to find some to teach me about the force." He says looking her directly in the eye "I came because this was the closet force sensitive planet that wasn't run by the Iron empire or the chiss." He looks around at the scenery "I actually had to give away most of my arms and all my armor to a smuggler to even get here, all I have left is this" He says pulling out an extendable quarterstaff. "This is a family heirloom and I only use it for practice". Putting away the weapon he waits for his new master's reply.

Kurenai gave the Chiss some understanding nods "Yes that would be a wise move, better then Coruscant, at lest here you have a 100% chance to run into another froce user here, but as you have seen tonight, not as many Jedi as there once was". His story about the Chiss military and Iron Empire was interesting, had he deserted? or had something happened causing the young Chiss to leave, the galactic northern faction was a rather reclusive one, not much knowledge spread from its borders. That along with it small area of influence, compared to other systems and its current neutral stance in the current wars just made it even more secretive, making [member="Rex Taff"] all the more interesting person.

His mention of equipment and further action though of pulling out a quarter staff did raise her eye brow from Kurenai, the man was definitely military and from what she knew of the Chiss family heir looms and pass down weaponry held a very close place to an individual. "Well if your a users of the quarter staff training you will be bit easier then I though, myself using pole arms myself", she commented, motioning to the telescopic Naginata on her back, that along with her sabre pike. "I will not pry into your private life, but I would like to know some things before hand, you mentioned arms and armor, are you perhaps a solider or mercenary"?

Answering her question "I was a part of the chiss military, was an officer was very good at tactics and history. Left with what I had. Later found a smuggler sold them my arms and armor to get to here." He looks away. "Yes I'm very good with my quarterstaff, I used to have a double bladed staff before I sold it, would have been useful in that bar" He says looking back at Costa's Lagoon.

He turns back to [member="Kurenai Yumi"]. "what about you? Who do you work for?, Who am I working for now?"

Kurnai gave the Chiss a raised eyebrow and smile, a sort of 'oh my' look, she had not expecting to find an apprentice already well versed in military doctrine and history, and a good fighter to boot, "true it may have com in handy, but I wanted to face the guy alone, I had been far too long since I was given a real challenge". Living as long as she had one kind of had many combat moves down pat, making fighting something rather easy, especially if you could predict their movements based of a fighting style.

"Well that is a rather impressive record you have, means force training will be your main focus as for what I do, I am a former mercenary gone professional solider, I fight under the CIS banner as a dark acolyte and APEX commando squad leader". She looked the Chiss in the eyes a bit closer, "Just several things I have to tell you before hand, yes I am a darkside user, but I will not be training you that way, my regime will be balanced both light and dark, secondly as we train there are some... personal things I may tell you about, which you must keep secret, okay"?

"I accept the training in both sides of the force means more to learn" He replies quickly, then he stop and looks like he is considering something very important. "I accept that there will be secrets that I will need to keep whether they are yours or the CIS, as at some point I will tell you why I left the Chiss, which you will need to keep to yourself." Looking her directly in the eye so she knows he meant every word.

Kurenai gave a hearty laugh something she did not do often, giving the Chiss a heavy slap of on the back, "I like you child, youhave much potentail, once we get off world I will make sure to train you well. Unless you want to start some of the basics while we are still here, should not take long, though tell me, what do you know about the force and to what extent have your explored your gift into the force"?

"Not much" he replied, "I can feel the force in others and if I concentrate on it, I have and can hide my own abilities, that was one of the reason why I never joined the force sensitives of the Iron empire, other than that sometime I can influence others more than I should be able to in battle" He admitted.

Kurenai took a thinker pose, contemplating the information, "well, its seems that you are able to hide your force signature very well, the first skill I learned on my own and mastered quite a while ago, we can work on that a bit more". "As for the others you seem to be able to grasp basic sensing powers to feel other peoples presence and force signature, that last power you talked about is most likely force persuasion, a more active skill that involved manipulating peoples mind to change their thought patter". "All in all you have a good head start on learning abilities, but first we need to work on simply grasping the force, getting a feel for it as I believe most of your skills you have been doing more unintentionally".

He looks at her a long time as if weighing the consequences of her words, finally he speak "How would I be able to intentionally use the force, Master?" put emphasis on the master part as the was truly his first lesson under his new master.

Kurenai gave the boy a quizzical look, it was clear to see such a change in life style, "First just call me sensi, secondly, the force is a living being that flows for all living things, you just have to concentrate yourself and get an understanding for what it feels like, similar to other peoples force signatures but more powerful" "Go on give it a try, let the force flow through you and get and understanding of its strength, just do what you do when sensing people or influencing their minds", Kurenai let the Chiss to a small clearing, her star fighter parked a little ways off, the Dark Jedi motioning for the boy to start his attempt.

As I sit down in the clearing I open up my mind to feel the force within myself and within my sensi, then I think on what she asked and I open my mind even more trying to feel the plants in the clearing around me, as I do I being feeling the plants, as I push further I start feeling a large gather of light side and then I go further feeling the taint the zabrak left after murder two Jedi, feeling their anguish. My eyes snap open and I start shuddering uncontrollably, "I felt the Jedi that zabrak killed, their anguish, their sorrow.." my voice trailing off, then a shocked look crosses my face "I almost joined a cold blooded killer" my voice barely a whisper. "I will end that zabrak to end their sorrow, to allow them peace", my voice picking up to a normal pace.

Looking back up at my sensi, I ask "is that why you were trying to remove the zabrak, because of the dead Jedi, sensi?", Not waiting for a reply I head in the direction I felt the dead jedi knowing that their bodies are still there.

Kurenai took a seat down on a boulder, sitting in a meditative Seiza style, typical of an Atrisian keeping a close eye on the boy as he went about as instructed, soon enough she felt the prick from the Chiss as he sensed her presence and those around, everything, both the light and the dark, before reeling back. "Yes, even in death emotion are still contained in the force, hate and anger as well as love and kindness resonate the most, but you being able to sense emotions as well means you are also experience force empathy, a little more then simple sensing as it shows peoples inner thoughts and goals, not just outside emotions, come sit".

She motioned for the Chiss to sit in front of her, though making no indication of what way to do it, any student of their could use their own meditative pose. "Be patient though, I can understand you wanting to avenge the fallen Jedi, and trust me, they are not the first to fall to his blade, but acting rash like that will not do any good, that man is a powerful and crafty fighter, youn'd be best to avoid him, else end up the his last apprentice, which also happened to be a Chiss, killed his family and later him when the boy did not show results".

She gave a light sigh before getting up and following the Chiss to the dead bodies, "Continue to keep that thought in your mind, as it will serve as a good motivator, but do not let emotions cloud your judgment, least you die or fall to the darkside behold saving" "As for my quarrel with him, yes in a way, the man has a high bounty on his head, and make a habit of showing up in Alliance controlled worlds, the CIS are allied with the Alliance, and such a man would have met his end at my blade if not for being a sly one, or that Gen'dai getting involved".

He thought on this as he continued towards the bodies, slowly the emotions began to fade and something else replaced them a call through the force still coming from the site but this was different to Light or Dark, this had no emotions just a call. As he arrived at the site, he knew the call was from here but he couldn't see a reason why, as he looked around the site he turned to his sensi asking "can you feel the call from the force something here is calling out sensi, but I don't know why, are you able to explain what it is?" He looked at the jedi's light-sabres still in their cold dead hands, he could hear the call louder now as if someone was shouting in his ear. "why is the force drawing me towards their light-sabres sensi?, I don't understand." He looks at her puzzled and confused.

He reaches out and picks up the light-sabres as he does so they break in his hands. Looking in horror he see them crumple but still hears the force calling him, looking back at his hands he sees one crystal in each of his hands, He goes to his Sensi and say "Sensi, what are these?, why are the calling to me?" He still looks perplexed.

Kurenai held a curiouse hand to her chin as the Chiss went about observing the dead bodies, his eye being drawn to the sabre, not to dissimilar from her own children when they had underwent their search for sabre crystals, was this something similar? She kept silent as the boy examined the corpses unaware that the sabres where calling to him, much like a moths being drawn to a flame, herself raising an eye brow as the light sabres disintegrated, the only thing raemning being the crystal that once served as its power source.

"I do not feel what you are feeling, but I do understand it, the force is calling out to you, more specifically the crystal that was in the Jedi's light sabre, and I think I know why", she passed around the Chiss kneeling down to examin the crystal. "A kyber crystal, these things are attuned to the force,they are very hard to find naturally because they usually only make themselves known to their future users, calling out similarly to what you experienced just then".

"The thing is, the crystals only start to become present once its future master has passed some sort of trail, fear, patience, anything that they are lacking, or simply a trial to test themselves, which you passed only a few hours before". She looked the Chiss in the eyes with s small smirk, hopefully not confusing the man too much, "back in the bar the Zabarak tempted you to join him, for him to train you and use you for his own purposes, but you did not go with him, that shows self-control and wise thinking".

Standing back up Kurenai observed the bodies for herself, their chest bearing the same sabre mark all the others had that fell victim to the Sith blade, "I do not know what you faced back on your home world, but I believe you refusing to join the Sith was your test, a prove of worthiness and the crystal sought you as its new master". "Perhaps one day you will use the sabre you make with the crystal and fell the Zabarak yourself, would be rather poetic no"?

He looks at his Sensi "that is very poetic", He sat there a while longer looking at the new crystal in his hand. Once again he reached into the force feeling the crystal calling, he felt it take a part of himself, then he finally understood by what his master meant, he spoke slowly and softly as if to himself but loud enough for his Sensi to hear "that was a trial of the force I have only heard of them, that was a test of character and resolve, this crystal is mine now" continuing "this crystal was blue when it was yours" he said looking at the Jedi on the ground "but now it is sliver to show my clarity and resolve". Looking back at his sensi "what will we do with their body and gear?", He asked unfamiliar with Jedi funerals.

Then looking at his Sensi he realizes "we left the Ubese behind near the tavern let me go get him", taking the second light-saber with him feeling something about it.

Slowly the Ubese got up from the bar. Whatever that Chiss gave him it wasn't something he could handle very well. Which is probably not much of a mystery given that he's half the person he used to be. Casually getting off the bar stool he realized that the Chiss was gone. Maybe he left without him? Savoh thought to himself, then made his way out of the bar, there he could see the familiar individual coming his way. Giving a quick wave he spoke "Yatay, Yatay" (I come, I come) 'Lead the way my good man." Savoh says to the Chiss.
