  • Cruciform Carousel Rack: An internal cross-shaped carousel holds four ready munitions in shock-isolated, thermally jacketed cradles. The rack indexes on Hexphase Ceramic Bearings for low friction rotation under high G, presenting each weapon to the drop throat with precise repeatability. Bloodsteel Clutch Rings lock each arm against recoil and yaw so alignment does not drift during violent maneuvers.
  • Coffin-Bay Autoloader: A cold-throw telescoping cradle seats and releases bombs without hot gases or noisy hydraulics, preserving Nightcloak low-profile windows. During the seat cycle the autoloader writes depth keys, detonation timers, and Harrowleech seam geometry into the bomb's control node. A green-board interlock only lights when Scry-Lens tracks, Malediction timing, and the airframe's grav-nodes agree, preventing premature or misaligned drops.
  • Ritual Sync Rails (Sigil-Wire Data Lattices): Etched Bloodsteel tracework along the rack arms carries encrypted arming handshakes and Kainate targeting inscriptions. These rails synchronize the bomb with the strike picture, including shield seam timing, Nullshock safe cones, and friendly decoy choreography. If any handshake fails, the autoloader hard-inhibits release and reverts the munition to cold custody.
  • Bloodpane Lipped Bay Doors: The bay aperture is lined with Bloodpane glass-ceramic lips that resist thermal bloom, flash, and radiation wash from near-field lance fire and bomb backblast. The lips preserve seal integrity and optical clarity for the Scry-Lens aperture inserts. Double-shear hinges and shock collars hold the doors true after repeated close-range detonations.
  • Ashen Seal Integration: The entire bay sits inside an Ashen Seal isolation pocket with Sarrassian Iron Blast-Gaskets, Bloodknife Pressure Gates, and Reaver Crowbar stages on the local buses. Faults and cook-off cues trigger sub-microsecond isolation so flame, pressure, and surge energy die in place. The rest of the airframe keeps clean power and flight authority while the bay is contained.
  • Gravitic Guide Array: Along the drop throat a ring of low-signature gravitic nodes imparts micro-corrections during the first meters of free fall. This bias hands the bomb smoothly into its own Gravitic Course Correction Nodes without creating a thruster plume or RF tell. Release footprints remain quiet while placement accuracy tightens around the planned seam or weak point.
  • Thermal Custody and Inert Flood: Each cradle carries an Ashen-Quench gel jacket and a fast flood loop for inert gas. Temperature is held inside a narrow band to protect alchemized cores and sensitive lattices, while rapid inerting smothers any incipient cook-off. This custody keeps exotic payloads stable through high-G jinks and bay door cycling.
  • Friend-or-Foil Interlocks: The autoloader subscribes to Shadow-Phase decoy patterns and live bomb-bay state. If foil clouds, beacons, or an active Hexpulse cone occupy the drop corridor, the system inhibits release and reindexes the carousel for a clean lane. Safe maps degrade gracefully if a sensor is wounded, preferring caution over fratricide.
  • Quick-Turn Service Rails: The cruciform arms ride on slide rails that deck crews can draw like drawers for fast reload and inspection. Shock-pins and alignment keys prevent tolerance creep, so crews can slam a fresh weapon into the rack under pressure without sacrificing concentricity. Turnaround time drops while green-board reliability remains high.
  • Misfire Retrieval Protocol: If a seat cycle fails or a bomb refuses a handshake, the autoloader reverses, re-locks the cradle, and floods the bay throat with inert gas. The carousel parks the suspect arm away from the drop axis and flags it for crew action with a fault code log. This ensures a misbehavior never traps the bay or delays a clean weapon in the next arm.

  • Precision Ordnance Programming: Writing seam geometry, detonation timing, and depth keys into the weapon at the moment of seating ensures each bomb is tuned to the current strike picture. Scry-Lens and Malediction updates flow into the munition up to seconds before release, which raises first-drop lethality and reduces wasted payload. The result is surgical placement through shield corridors and over structural nodes.
  • High-Tempo, Low-Signature Loading: Cold-throw actuation, smooth Hexphase bearings, and disciplined green-board logic keep the bay quiet until the instant of release. Nightcloak windows remain intact while the carousel prepares the next round, allowing ingress and egress without loud mechanical or thermal signatures. Sortie tempo increases without trading away stealth discipline.
  • Blast-Hardened Bay Architecture: Bloodpane lips, Sarrassian Iron Blast-Gaskets, and Bloodknife gates allow weapons to be dropped near Cataclysm Axial Lance gouges or through Harrowleech seams without cooking the bay. Near-field flash and overpressure do not warp the aperture or jam the mechanism, so the bomber can run stacked engagements back-to-back. Survivability stays high even in violent strike envelopes.
  • Doctrine Synergy Across Kainate Munitions: The rack accepts Bloodfire, Spinebreaker, Netherpierce, Nullshock, Howlshard, Black Veil, Harrowleech, and other Kainate munition paired loads without refit. Ritual Sync Rails deconflict timing between bombs, decoys, and point-defense cones so each drop supports the next. The bay becomes a conductor's podium for the Kainate kill chain rather than a simple chute.

  • Force Nullification: Inside Force Nullification the Sigil-Wire rails cannot carry targeting inscriptions or timing biases. The autoloader can still seat and release, but bombs leave with only slightly beyond baseline timing and no ritual sync, which reduces precision and deconfliction. Doctrine calls for null suppression or conventional targeting before relying on Coffin-Bay finesse.

The Coffin Bay Autoloader and Cruciform Rack Mk. I was developed in the foundries of Malsheem to solve a simple problem the Kainate refused to ignore. Precision bombs are only as lethal as the bay that feeds them. If the weapon is not seated cleanly, timed correctly, and dropped through the exact cut the Scry-Lens opened, then terror becomes waste. The Velakorr demanded a bay that moved like a ritual and hit like an execution.

The heart of the system is a cruciform carousel that cradles four ready munitions in a cross under the keel. Each arm rides Hexphase Ceramic Bearings and locks with Bloodsteel Clutch Rings so rotation remains true when the bomber knifes through flak and hard break turns. The autoloader's cold-throw cradle slides forward, captures a bomb, and seats it against Bloodpane lips that can stare into the bloom of a lance strike without cracking. During those seconds of contact the Sigil-Wire rails flood the weapon with everything the strike picture requires: seam length and angle from Harrowleech, collapse timing from Malediction's forecast, safe cones for Shadow-Phase decoy choreography, and arming logic that matches the Kainate's doctrine of layered murder.

When green-board lights, the bay breathes once and lets go. The Gravitic Guide Array whispers a tiny nudge so the weapon meets its own course-correction nodes cleanly, then silence returns while the carousel indexes. If a seat cycle stumbles, the system does not panic. It floods the throat with inert gas, parks the faulty arm, and offers the next weapon. Deck crews later draw the arm out on service rails like a coffin from a crypt, strip the Ashen-Quench liner, and restore the cradle without pulling the entire bay apart.

The bay is not fragile. Bloodpane lips and Sarrassian Iron Blast-Gaskets absorb near-field flash that would buckle ordinary doors, while Bloodknife gates and Ashen Seal isolation keep a flareup from marching down the hull. Reaver Crowbar stages sit on local buses to dump electrically dirty events into sink rails so Nullshock-style backwash never poisons the avionics. The result is a compartment that can look into fire and still hand the next bomb to gravity with steady hands.

Coffin-Bay does not claim invincibility. In Force Nullification it loses its ritual sync, falling back to basic arming and timing. Yet even with those limits, the system delivers the rhythm the Velakorr was built to impose. Bombs leave tuned to the cut, sequenced to the scream, and timed to break the spine of ships, fortresses, fortifications, and more with a practiced certainty. In the Kainate, engineering is a blade, and Coffin Bay is the hand that places the blade where it will hurt forever.
