C'mon, my bark is worse than my bite

Voracen sat in his private booth in the back of a cantina, sipping on his drink. Why was he here? Was he hiding? Relaxing? No, at the moment, the shistavanen was working. Across the bar was his target. A man of twenty-two, he had managed to piss someone off enough to want him dead. Naturally, when he saw the opportunity for a job, the wolf-man took it. After all, he was good at what he did, which was stealing a killing. It was time. A subtle nod, and a waitress appeared. She was with him, of course. She offered him a drink, which he took, emptied a small vial in, and returned it to the tray. As soon as she walked over and delivered the drink, Voracen casually left the bar. Behind him, the target felt a little drowsy, and fell asleep. He would never wake back up.

Mos Eisley Cantina, Tatooine

The famed Cantina of Mos Eisley was a literal nightmare for members of the Templar Rangers. Attempting to uphold the law in this establishment was as easy as throwing an egg at a wall, full force, without breaking it. However, this did not deter the senior member of the Rangers from his diligent watch over the establishment; in hopes to prevent the worst of offenses from occurring. With a simple drink of spiced ale in hand, he sipped casually and kept an eye on the room. In particular, the young Master elected to keep an eye on the "shadowy" corners of the Cantina; such as the rear of the establishment, for that was where the darkest of dealings went down.

It was in this area that an exchange, one that would typically be hidden due to the area, took place. A silent nod, the placing of a cup, and the returning of a cup. Harmless...if it had taken place in an area outside of the Cantina. However, in such a lawless place, this exchange grabbed the Templar's full attention and he watched as the cup was delivered to the patron. Before taking the first sip, the lupine man strode past Josiah and exited the establishment; to which Josiah made a mental note to memorize his face. Then, after witnessing the near instantaneous falling "asleep" of the man, the Templar swore under his breath.

He should have stopped the man from drinking.

With frustrating plaguing him ever so slightly, he stepped out of the Cantina and into the streets of the dust-swept city. The "Wolfman" was still within eyeshot, and relying upon the Force to quicken his steps, Josiah closed the distance between them in a matter of seconds. He then spoke firmly and confidently, producing a badge of gold and his lightsaber from their respective pockets within his hooded jacket. "Stop right there." were the words he uttered, holding his badge forward to reveal his identity as a Templar Ranger.

"Stop right there."

Voracen turned to look at the man behind him, holding up a badge. A Templar... ranger? Never heard of them. "Never heard of a Templar. You can't hold me." He laughed a little to himself, the sound like a hyena. "You can't even catch me. I'd just love to see you try. Come on Templar. Lets see what you've got." With a sly grin, the shistavanen turned heel and ran off in a cloud of sand, egging the Templar ranger on to chase after him.

'Why do they always have to run?' groaned the young Master to himself as the perpitrator began to sprint away. Of course, Josiah had to go after him, for it was his duty to bring a stone cold murderer to justice. As such, he reached out with the Force and called upon its might in order to empower his body to move faster. An ability known as Force Speed, he relied upon his mastery of this skill, honed over many years of meticulous use and training, in order to allow his strides to keep up with those of the lupine assassin before him. It took a decent sum of effort on his part to move just as fast as the Wolfman.

And by exerting additional effort, he was able to move even faster.

Only a few moments after the chase began, the Templar Ranger was running directly alongside the Wolfman. A coy smile was plastered upon his lips as he kept up with the swift strides of the lupine assassin. "You know," he said calmly, "I can keep this up all day. How's about you stop and we talk?"

Voracen was definitely surprised when the man caught up to him, but he wasn't out of options. Quickly pulling out a thermal detonator, he tossed it to the force-user. "Here, catch!" He chuckled o himself and changed directions. If he was a protector of these parts, he would have to deal with the grenade in a way that no innocents were killed. So where did he go? Directly into a massive crowd that had gathered. 'Lets see him think his way out of this one', he thought.

Ever the "quick" thinker, the Wolfman decided to hurl a thermal detonator at the young Master. This, too, was met with a mental groan. Why, oh why, did this man insist on making things difficult for him? Did he not realize that on a whim, the Templar could make his life...painful? Ah well, no matter. It was through the Force once more that Josiah thwarted the escape attempt of the assassin once more. When the grenade was hurled, he simply reached out with an elementary display of telekinesis. The weapon was gripped through the Force, and with a whip of the young Master's arm, was sent sailing high into the air, where its detonation was absolutely harmless to the people below.

And the best part about this feat? Josiah did not lose stride. He kept right on in step with the Wolfman upon his change in direction, and despite the obstacle of the crowd he dove into, was able to keep up all the while. This chase was simply not a phenomenal challenge for the young Master, so he voiced as much.

"Will you stop running already? This is getting tiresome."

Voracen growled in impatience. This man was becoming a real nuisance. Looking around, he grabbed a bystander in the crowd, a young man, and pressed a gun to his head. "Back off Templar", he snarled. He had been pushed to the last straw. Did he want to kill this man? No. He hated killing innocents, and had
no intention to. He just hoped his pursuer wouldn't call his bluff.

And now the Wolfman was pulling the trademark hostage routine. There was no end to the frustrations. However, the young Master wagered that there was a large possibility that the assassin was bluffing. After all, if his theory was correct, that meant the lupine warrior had been hired in order to do the killing; and that meant that, possibly, wanton killing was out of the question. At least, that was the Templar's solemn hope as he came to a complete halt only a handful of feet away from the hostage scene. Josiah initially spared no words, then elevated his offhand. Electricity crackled between his fingertips menacingly, a testament to the Judgment that awaited the Wolfman if he did not comply.

"If you kill him, you die where you stand. If you attempt to flee again, you will die where you stand. However, if you surrender now, you live. Last chance."

This was no bluff.

Voracen calculated his options. First, he'd seen before what force users could do, on both sides. Anyone who got brave could tackle him, at which point the crowd would overwhelm him. "Kark". He narrowed his eyes, trying to look for any other means of escape. There were none. He had failed his mission. He didn't get away silently, and was instead caught by a jedi. No, not a jedi... but definitely not a sith either. Sighing, the man let go of his hostage and dropped his pistol, raising his hands in the air.
