"Very sorry to bother you," said Lachadann around the cigar, and eerk-eerked away.Nope my name is Alex Locke, I just unfortunately look like this Estranged Princess Quinn Varanin.
Guest 18, House 14.
House rolls.
Stand or roll?
"Roll."
After the two settles on the board, Damien smirks.
"And now I stand."
Morrow lied; the thrill of the win was getting the better of him. He would be making another bet.
He places his chips in the following positions:

Any center column hit = 1600 from the house
((3400 split + 400 column)) 3800 - 2200 from dead bets = 1600)
Outer edge splits = 1000 from the house
(3400 split - 2400 from dead bets = 1000)
0 3 4 9 10 15 16 21 22 27 28 33 or 34 = 2800 to the house

“Lemme pick. Fifteen, nineteen, thirty three.”
An absolutely terrible idea. Morrow should have said no, but unfortunately, he was into her, and the alcohol was singing to him.
"Fifteen, nineteen, thirty-three," he echoed.
Fleeting lucidity drove him to modify the bet, matching their numbers with an odd one-to-one to possibly mitigate loss.
He places the following bet:
![]()
Any even number = 4000 to the house
Odd number = 2000 the the house
15, 19, or 34 = 34,000 payout
(35000 straight 1000 odd - 2000 from dead bets = 34000)

1500 on black, 1000 on column 2, Jerec said to the droid. The droid attendant for the table--clearly a protocol model repurposed for gambling--exclaimed surprise at the results of the jubilee wheel. Not because of the actual results, but because its programming had severe difficulties parsing what all of the jubilee wheel and gambling language meant. Something that made it...feel abashed? A computational approximation of that feeling, at least, induced by being utilized so thoroughly outsides its field of competence.
1500 on black, 1000 on column 2, Jerec said to the droid.
Jerec looked the droid dead in the face and said "bub, I've had a Gree derelict on my back lawn for thirty years and you're not wrong. Same bet again. Let's ride this bantha."While the Jubilee Wheel spun, the droid leaned toward Jerec and whispered, almost conspiratorially.
"In the Gree language the colour black represents trouble and obstacle, often interpreted as danger."
