Clone Troopers

So, it's time to unveil what we've been up to on the planet Soledad. See, it's a cloning world, and when we took it, Rave Merrill and some other Fringers secured some top-of-the-line cloning facilities, then combined expertise and assets with our longstanding bioresearch facility on Endor and the Fringe's recent acquisition of the cloning world of Khomm. The Republic uses clone troopers based on Cody Jorin, the CIS uses clone troopers based on the Fett genome...

Presenting the Lords of the Fringe clone troopers.

Height: 5'7"/170cm

Build: Lean, wiry

Eyes: Brown

Hair: Black

Maturition period: 9 months

Ageing rate after maturition: 2x

Clone stock: Kol, a half-Vahla survivalist, Unknown Regions explorer, and starfighter pilot who was a good friend of Ashin Varanin when Varanin was a Jedi Padawan and Knight. Kol has been dead for several years.

Race: Half Vahla, half human. Kol was more weakly Force-sensitive than the average Vahla (technically referred to as 'Force-attuned'), and only achieved Force powers through dedicated training over many years; she could have spent her whole life without knowing that she could learn to touch the Force. Between very weak Force-sensitivity and a long maturition period for a mass-produced clone, incidents of clone madness and developmental defects are relatively rare.

Personality and Freedoms: Kol clones vary as widely as Fett clones. However, unlike the ancient clone army of the Republic, Kol clones are not conditioned for obedience. Upon maturition and completion of flash-memory training, clones who choose not to enlist are in a good position to name their employer within Fringe space; un-enlisted clones are considered an investment. A certain percentage of clones are flash-educated for infantry, armor, flight, support, medic duty, etc., all through varying emphases on the flash-memory tapes of Kol, along with other materials. It is also worth noting that Kol clones are, on average, slightly nuttier than Fett clones. A little neurotic, a little eccentric. This is only on average. As mentioned, Kol clones and Fett clones have a similar degree of personality variance. In general, they blend very well with the Lords of the Fringe.

Am i the only one who thinks making a female clone army is gonna come back to bite us in the butt? Females are kind of weaker and have less stamina then men...like anatomically speaking.

Also i'm seriously not trolling i'm just saying it makes no sense to me.

@[member="Nemene Talith"] - It's all in what template you choose. There are women out there who have much better genetic aptitude for strength, intelligence, and stamina than you or I or your average soldier. The Republic's whole clone program is based off a joe-everyman grunt. The CIS's whole program is based off a superior, but natural, specimen, nothing tweaked for genetic superiority or whatever.

That, and it's not like our entire military is Kol clones. No reason for it to be.

I'm not arguing that point. My argument is more that when a 5'7'' Female in her prime goes up against a 6' Male(Fett Clone, not sure how big Cody is but i'm pretty sure he's also fairly big and muscularly built.) no matter how well she's trained, no matter how high her aptitude for strength and the like, unless she's like...genetically altered on a basic level to be stronger, faster, etc... She's going to get absolutely 100% floored.

As a man who served alongside women in the military(Receiving the same training, doing the same things, etc...), i can guarantee this as a fact.

Now my suggestion on this if you are interested. These clones should be used for stealth and hit and run operations, kind of like the Ghosts from Starcraft. Or you could have them be utilized as Tank Crews(This in particular works out well but i wont expand as to why cause i could talk about it for days) and pilots. Women are usually more agile, faster, and all that lovely junk.

-shrugs- Just my two Cents.

@[member="Nemene Talith"] - That'd be why I mentioned a wide range of mission and flash-learning profiles, including armor crews and piloting, and why I didn't specify percentages until I'd done more research - heck, that's why I picked a fighter pilot in the first place. Nobody's asking Kol clones to go hand to hand en masse with Fett clones, lol.

Okay! I'm sorry for making assumptions. If you want any advice in that regard feel free to hit me up on skype. This issue was actually hotly debated when i was in the military so i know a surprising amount about it.

We're also playing in a setting with aliens, laser swords, space fighters, and magical powers. A woman being able to go toe to toe with a guy really isn't suspension of disbelief shattering in comparison in my opinion. Do whatever's fun.

If we want our Claudia Black's to be modestly armored I can put something in, if not I suppose we could find some more enticing options.

I like it! but if we are doing these clone things, then who will be the actual clones that are on the front lines? or will those still be the other soldier types that we have?
