Tarw blinked and Valery vanished from his vision. He had heard that it was possible for someone talented with the Force to do that but Tarw had never seen it in action. It was a strange experience since he didn't know if she was still around, whether she had done something else to get into the room. Tarw felt a little lost since he hadn't been told what to do or what Valery was doing to cover for her. All he had was she was gone for now and he could only hope that she would return soon. Standing by the door, Tarw figured the best spot to be was where Valery vanished, and act as a bodyguard. Ensuring no one else entered or left.

Once Valery entered the meeting room, she would see a dozen criminals surrounding a holo-table with a clear imperial commander at the head of the table. His thin moustache and greying blue hair demonstrated he was an old guard imperial, Chiss by race as well, as he moved his hands around the holo-table. His voice was strong, calculated and firm, his eyes were matching with a ruby red stone cold focus.

"You have been sloppy. We are going to draw the attention of the Jedi and their Alliance puppets." He growled to the criminal leaders, dismissive of them all as he pointed several coordinates. "We need to pull focus here. If we truly wish to undermine the Alliance's defences and ensure that when the empire rises once again, Coruscant will be gifted to them on a silver platter." The imperial commander spoke with assurance that there was going to be a return of the empire.

Gesturing to several members of the council, "I need you to start attacking these areas. I also need you three," gesturing to a trio, "to distract the Jedi forces with criminal activity over here."

"What about that Alliance soldier that was sniffing around?" One voice spoke up.

"Figure out a name and where he lives, then kill him. An accident. Burglary gone wrong. I don't care but we can't have people sniffing around too closely." The imperial commander growled.

Valery stood in silence, her breath steady as she watched the meeting unfold from the shadows. Every word spoken by the commander, every gesture toward the holo-table, burned into her mind. Plans of coordinated attacks. Distractions aimed at the Jedi. And worst of all, an open order to kill an Alliance soldier poking too close.

Her expression tightened just slightly at that.

She stayed until the conversation shifted into logistical bickering, then turned and made her way back to the door. A moment later, her form passed cleanly through the durasteel, and the shimmer of her presence returned just enough for Tarw to see her again. She stepped to his side and let the illusion fade completely, her voice low but direct.

"They're planning coordinated strikes on several Alliance sectors. Real damage, if they pull it off," she said, her eyes flicking back toward the door. "And they're planning to hit Jedi territory with criminal distractions to divide our attention."

Her tone dropped even lower.

"One of them asked about an Alliance soldier. The commander told them to make it look like an accident. Burglary gone wrong. They didn't say a name… but I think they meant you."

She gave him a firm look.

"We need those plans. But if they're already onto you, we move carefully from here."

After what felt to Tarw as a very long time, Tarw eventually saw Valery reappear before him. Hearing what she was able to overhear, "it makes sense. Terrifying how coordinated they have become here. I did not think they would be so organised already. We need to get out of here to discuss how to counter this." Tarw mentioned as his eyes scanned around, figuring out the safest and quickest way out.

If they alerted attention right now then they would have the entire operation aware and able to adjust their plans.

This was their advantage and they couldn't let it slip.

Nodding his head, "means also a risk of an informant in the Alliance as well. But, that isn't too much of a concern, I can look after myself and if I die, that hopefully draws more attention to this situation. Rather not die, but my death helps the Alliance against this, then I welcome it." His gaze firmly locked with Valery. He would die to keep the Alliance alive and to keep her alive and well.

"As for the plans, I'm guessing you didn't get a chance to memorize the locations when they were talking?" He doubted the chances but a photographic memory would be super handy. "Otherwise, our best bet is to come back later, when things are more relaxed."

Pointing in a direction, "this way." Tarw mentioned as he started walking forward. "We'll get out and there is a cheap hotel to talk in private nearby." It was one with e reputation for short stays and confidentiality.

Valery nodded, falling in step beside Tarw as he led the way.

"You're right. If we push our luck now, we risk losing everything we just uncovered," she said, her voice steady. Her senses stretched outward as they moved, brushing past minds and scanning for shifts in awareness, but for the moment, no one seemed to have noticed their presence.

"I caught some of the locations, but nothing specific. Timetables, strike points… they kept those details close." She glanced over at him. "We're going to need to go back."

There was no hesitation in her tone.

"We'll regroup, lay low for now, and return when the pressure eases. If they think their secrets are safe, they'll let their guard down again. If they believe we have this intel, they'll change their plans."

She paused just long enough to glance at him more fully.

"And for the record, I don't plan on letting you die for this. We're going to stop them together."

Heading to some stairs, Tarw made sure to keep walking with confidence and cool reserve, "understood. Give the higher ups something more concrete that they can work from." Nodding his head, more evidence and knowledge was better for the Alliance no matter what. He also hoped it would be information gathered in time to matter.

Walking down the stairs, his mind wondered about how something like this could have been achieved, how it could have gotten so organised, so well thought out without the Alliance noticing what was happening here. Wondering if the Alliance simply allowed it to happen. Allowed this evil to brood and grow without acknowledging it until it was too late.

"Agreed. If we had caught this earlier, done something sooner, then maybe it wouldn't be so rampant." Tarw continued to wander down the stairs, his eyes keeping a lookout for trouble. Luckily they were able to make it outside once again with a concern.

Tarw started leading the way to the hotel, turning around to Valery, "I am not looking to die any time soon, so if it is preventable then I would like to prevent it. I just know that I am willing to do whatever it takes to end this corruption, this evil growing down here. And that might include me having to die to prevent another Empire taking my home." Tarw stated firmly as he locked eyes with Valery.

He was willing to do whatever it took, even if it was sacrificing his life, or crossing the lines others would not or could not. The Alliance was what mattered the most.
