The Barabel’s hologram stands tall, looking calm yet concerned.

<<"This is a message for the Jedi of the Ossus enclave, and anyone in the Scar Worlds with the skill and inclination to help.

"This one is called Xeykard. This one is a… former Inquisitor of the Sith Empire. It would be understandable if you had reservations about listening to this one, but- it is important, and we have little time.

"The Sith warlord, Ghaesmae, has struck Desevro, the territory of another warlord, Darjos Morcar. Ghaesmae's forces have been largely reduced as the Ashlans have taken the Wyl sector, but she is still a formidable Sith Lord and has loyal forces at her back. Still, her losses have left her unstable, and in need of a victory, so she picked a fight with another remnant.

"Morcar, of course, has no intention of giving anything. His forces have been skirmishing with the Ghaesmae's across the system for a day now – leaving them distracted. The Sith herself remains on Desevro, occasionally going out to toy with the citizenry.

"She is… dangerous, but off her step. Given any time to recover and regain her senses, she may once more become a threat to what passes for stability in this region. This is the best chance to strike her down, while she sits on Desevro.

"This one is no more pleased than you, to be asking for your help. If this one could do it on this one's own, there would be no need for this one's message. But, the warlord is powerful, and this one cannot do this alone. If you are willing, this one will provide a ship and means to infiltrate the palace in Maslovar.">>

A resigned look crosses his face.

<<"Please. She must be stopped.">>

"We'll be arriving in a few minutes," he called back to the passenger area of the shuttle. He'd gone alone to pick up those who'd responded to his message; a gamble, but now that they were onboard, he knew he was safe enough.

Desevro had been rotting long before Ghaesmae had arrived here; even as they passed above he felt like he could smell it, as if the urban metal structures could spoil like food. The stench would get worse once they landed, but that was the least of his worries. His eyes wandered above, tracking the distant flashes of light; the fleets of the warlords were engaging again, meaning the troops on the ground were both on high alert and very few, with most being sent to guard strategic locations or aboard the fleet itself.

The warlord was vulnerable, she had been ever since she'd even gotten the idea to come to Desevro. Xeykard had no intention of wasting the opportunity, even if that meant risking betrayal at the hands of the motley crew that he was now ferrying. He supposed they were thinking the same thing, and wondered briefly who was more trustworthy.

Them, without a doubt.

"Final call. Suppress your presence, if you can, though if you can't-" he thrust out a large fist, opening to reveal a handful of Taozin amulets, "take one of these."

A few hours ago...
"The message came in a few minutes ago.", Wyatt said as he clipped his lightsaber onto his belt and approached the holotable.
Aboard the Bezharl, they worked through hyperspace to the nearby call. Some of the Jedi were not aboard, others were; and so Wyatt had called them to conference table with the utmost convenience. Those gathered looked at him with a stalwart glare - knowing that duty was now on the line, and their mission was to save millions from the dastardly actions of yet another remaining warlord of the Sith Empire.
"A Sith named Xeykard Xeykard has requested our presence - a blind call to Jedi in the region to kill 'Empress' Ghaesmae. Reports state she's claiming dominion over true blooded Sith; but the effectiveness of the claim is tenuous at best. As we know, most Sith have either departed galactic affairs or joined the Maw - likely she's scrounging for whatever she can get."
He pressed a few buttons and the planet of Deservo came up.
"Relatively populated, Deservo has become her new home. Xeykard claims he can get us into her palace - and we have to trust him that he won't just sell us out to her guards the moment we arrive. Personally -", he paused.
"I hate this. Realistically, if we can stop her now - then we can save the region from more turmoil. Xeykard has given us coordinates for a rendevouz with him - I say we hear him out. Everyone ready?", he said.
---
"I'll manage.", Wyatt offered politely to the Sith. His hand rubbed anxiously at the fraying edges of his master's cloak - a gift he had recieved from Cedric Grayson Cedric Grayson years prior. The dirt that mottled them now was from a thousand planets - but with that grime came the reminder of a million lives saved. Its was comforting, and if Wyatt focused he could almost feel their lives in the fabric.
He exhaled heavy and glanced to the others;
"Everyone else ready?"

Julius remained stoic and silent in his Aing-Tii made armor, a Jedi's brown outer robe over it. A pair of lightsabers remained at his hips, and he nodded to Wyatt as the other spoke. He agreed and voiced as much, in his low drawl and twang.

"Stopping her now, before she expands, is definitely a key. Collateral damage will be a risk, but it will be much easier to mitigate and eliminate now than later on should she gain power. And potentially eliminate any other rivals of hers in the process as well..."

----

Clad still in armor and arms for war, he stood beside his friend and comrade and nodded,

"Let's go take 'er out."

Sometimes waiting for a job was so fething boring. But as he was making his rendezvous with the Dawn Chaser for a bit of refuel, and resupply, Jared was pacing one of the many rec rooms set aside for Force users and weary travelers. He was listening for the stories, it was something that his father and sister did as Wardens, and him, as a hunter of the fringe. It was the best way to tell where someone was needing help, be it a ship, or a settlement that was being bothered by… whatever. The Scar World group made a target rich environment.

Sadly, his father wasn't aboard the Chaser and it was really just him. Kaia was out doing Force knew what, and Coren had things to do on Kattada. As the call came in, though, Jared was the one to get it. Then his personal comm went off and it was his father.

"Yeah?" Jared asked, trying to not seem like he was already moving.

"I'm being held up on Kattada. New batch of ExplorCorps just returned with Se-… from in the Unknown. Sending you coordinates to where Julius Sedaire Julius Sedaire and others are waiting. Get out there, do what you can."

Jared offered a half hearted salute but that Starchaser grin that told his father he had heard. As he walked through the main hangars, there were a number of ships prepped. He made his way down towards the silver Clawcraft and made sure it was running a Jedi-friendly IFF. Taking off, he had a ship to meet. He had a few oddities he'd be bringing, but he was a Starchaser, and could still use a lightsaber and the Force like one.

For better or worse.

---

It wouldn't take him too long to get to where he was going.

"This is Starchaser to… bezel? Bez hurl? Jedi ship. Requesting docking. Coren sends his regrets, but he's held up in temple life." Was that a statement Jared ever expected to say? "He's taught me enough." That was true, and Jared found all the odd beasties out there and was helping clean them up.

He'd be docked quickly.

---

Once docked, he'd be linking up with Julius, and learning about what their mission here was.

It would be a trap. Kadann was certain of it. No sith could be trusted, but this one would keep them alive long enough to do its bidding.

The trick would be to kill their own sith before he turned on them. His own life did not matter; Kadann was an empty vessel of vengeance. He didn't know or care how far that took his path into darkness.

He reached for a taozin amulet, but offered no gratitude.

"I am ready," he said quietly. With the chaos that they were flying into this could be the one that finally killed him. One of them would.

Xeykard stowed the amulets, and went back to piloting the shuttle. It went against every instinct, to even sit with his back to them, but he fought his natural inclinations, forcing them down. It was in their self interest to work together -- for the most part. Their distrust was well-warranted. He didn't have to like it, though.

The shuttle flew low to the ground, eventually pulling into an abandoned square. Desevro's decay left many empty spaces for their purposes; even if there were civilians around, the sight of a Sith ship was more likely to send them running than calling for the warlord's forces. He rose from the pilot's seat, and headed to the back to lower the loading ramp.

"We've got some ground to cover; getting too close would've given us away," he said. "Once we're closer, we'll get into the sewers. There's an exit right next to the palace. From there, we'll find the secret entrance -- it'll take you straight to the throne room." He stopped there. If he gave them too much information now, they could just dispose of him, and go on with the assassination themselves.

"Let's go."

don't hesitate to move things along in whatever way you see fit; i'm not particularly DMing this, but Xeykard will try to control some things during my posts. aside from that, do the do, and ofc character interaction during the travel time do be ideal
