The ship landed, the entire village had arrived, well because a ship didn't land at the village just everyday, but it was a surprise when none other than Elayne popped up. She smiled and waited to make sure that everyone was there and Once she was positive. " Hello Singing Mountain clan, I come here to day to claim him as my own, and that it be recorded. " She spoke in her native language, not wanting him to know what she was saying. She didn't want him running away on her.

It was funny that she was here now claiming him. She felt closer to him already after all they had done. She had knots and butterflies in her stomach. She looked towards her mother, that was the real question, what would she think? Elayne felt that these were the longest seconds of her life. She waited eagerly to hear the villages reaction.

Cai lifted his his head out of the cockpit and looked around. This could be real bad. He didn't know what exactly was happening, but he knew that in all the stories the Witches didn't see men as anything near equal. Did his clothes offend them? He noticed that most of the men were... well scantily clad. As an Echani he had no issues or taboos about his body like most humans seemed to have. Body language was a part of their language and so they were comfortable with themselves. "I'm chasing two fugitives," he said finally trying to break the tension. "A thief and a murderer, I believe they came here to do your people harm of some sort, will you help me?" Maybe that was too impudent for a culture of this type. He bit his lower lip and waited for a response.

News spread through the clan like wild fire, as they always did. Satara was soon in the loop of a ship landing in their territory which didn't often happen. Ships would land on the planet but it was not common for them to arrive within the Singing Mountain territory. So she was there, her eyes spotting Elayne as she exited the ship, speaking to them all in Paecean, pointing out she was claim the male.

Pushing through the crowd, Satara made her way to her daughter and the man that came out finally, speaking in Basic of chasing a thief and a murderer, rather than what her daughter had said. Reaching out to the Force, Satara whispered through it: 'Elayne, what is going on?'

Elayne heard her mother through the force, She knew it was coming. She whispered back through the force , " Well I don't want anyone else to claim him, and I really like him, so I decided to trick him into coming to ouf village, the people he hunts were claimed by nightsisters... " She spoke to Cai, " Quiet, please, Cai I have this" She said in basic. " He is a jedi who came here looking for two fugitives, that I watched get claimed. " She knew that women often claimed people who came to this world... wasn't that what she was suppose to do, She knew her morther and father were different but she was torn, she wanted to just have Cai to herself, she really liked him she decided. which meant she should claim him.
Elayne was still a storm of feelings, as she had never been this close or done the things she had done witih Cai. She just hoped she was doing the right thing. She looked at her mother... with pleading eyes, hoping she accepted the claim.

The young man jumped off the fighter and landed on the ground next to Elayne. He could see her body tense and he wondered if it was something he had done. "Yes ma'am." Cai shut his mouth obediently and watched.

OOC: 98 degree heat... and after getting out of the hospital and stuff I said "nah I can run a few miles..." now I'm sick. sorry for the short post.

She didn't want anyone else to claim him and she tricked him into coming to their village while he was huting those claimed by the Nightsisters. The man was a Jedi. Raising her hand, Satara gestured to both her daughter and the Jedi to join her with her index finger and turned her back, walking away from the crowd. Such things were ones she did not need so many eyes focused on. The facts which Elayne revealed to her, worried her, especially since the man was not of their kind.

'Why claim him?' She asked her daughter through telepathy again before turning to the Jedi. "What are these fugitives you're trying to find, Jai?" The woman asked the outsider, in basic then, wanting to hear more.

'I really like him... Ina... we have been flirting the whole time... we made out right before we came.. It was magical... I think if he would of urged me that I would of gone farther Ina... ' Elayne blushed... hoping no one noticed as she folllowed Satara. ' I have never felt this way before...' Elayne had a strange smile on her face, one unlike any expression she had as he stayed close to Cai, she had really begun to like him. She didn't know what it was about him but he seemed so cute. She hoped that her Ina understood her feelings... she wanted Cai to be hers.. she couldn't imagine him with any other woman. She snuck her hand out grabing Cai's she needed his strength.

Cai followed them obediently walking over to Satara. She was clearly someone important, and it just plain wouldn't do to insult her. Elayne exchanged a few words in a language he couldn't understand and then reached out and grabbed his head. He could see tenseness in her body language, and so reciprocated by squeezing her hand reassuringly. "One is a murder, he crashed a speeder into a home and shot three people with a blaster in order to steel an expensive statue." He bit his lower lip as he considered the words, "And the other is a more professional thief. He's gets in and out of places without being seen. In addition he's escaped from custody four times before, this is his fifth. An escape artist you see." That's how they would have said it in the Holovids. "I have their full profiles on my ships computer if you would like them...."

Liked him. Flirted with him. Satara blinked. At the age of twenty-one she had far bigger problems, that of her aunts. She didn't even know how to flirt, let alone go about doing it with anyone. That of course a few years before she laid her eyes on Madoc and to be fair, she just knew he was the one she would claim so perhaps she shouldn't be so strict with her about it. After all, there was no set time when such things happened. But as Satara glanced at the Jai, she wondered if he had any idea what Elayne wanted to. She had spoken in Paecean and through the Force, never for him to understand.

'And the Jai knows any of this?' She asked. He was not of their kind. All the slaves on Dathomir knew how it worked. It hardly seemed fair for the outsider to just be thrown into it without knowing. It didn't help matters though when Elayne told her she had never felt this way. 'Then as long as he's aware of it, so shall it be.' That was her only demand in it all. The man had to be aware of it before Satara would speak the words that would seal their fates together.

Unaware of their conversations through the Force, the Jai spoke of the two fugitives he was searching for. One a murderer and another a thief. The man offered to show her their profiles on his ship. However, Satara concerned herself with another matter, shared with her by Elayne. "My daughter tells me these men have been claimed by Nightsisters," she told him, unsure whether he knew this by now or not. "And I can assure you, if they have become slaves to our darkside sisters, no talent of trickery will help them escape. They will die if they even try it."

Elayne nodded towards satara and looked at Cai, the man who was holding her hand. Elayne looked at Cai... He was beautiful... she didn't want him to be anyone elses... it would kill her she felt... So she sent her words towards Cai in the force. 'Cai, I have something to tell you, I brought you here even though I knew there was no way you would ever need to find those men. They were Claimed by night sisters, They are dark people who would ensure that those two never leave their village again. I am however an allayan Witch, but we have similar parts of our culture. I brought you here to claim you... Here, females are in charge, and males are our slaves.... but don't think I want you to be my slave, My mother and father are different... while the clan views him as her slave, anyone can tell that it is not the case. They love each other and she views him more her equal, I want a life like that, so I brought you here... So I could claim you, and if that is ok with you My Ina, My mother, will make it so, I know its sudden.. but I really like you Cai... and I can't imangine you with any other woman... and if i don't do this then someone else might try to claim you and not give you a choice, as I said most just view men as slaves.. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I just know your the one, but it is all up to you. ' Elayne grabbed Cai's other hand and looked him in the eye, hoping that he saw that she really cared about him. She was ready to make the plunge, she just hoped he was.

"Wait what?" Stupid. The man grimaced a little and looked over Elayne. He knew she was hiding something when they first met, but he thought she was just nervous. What is worse, how he acted... He suppressed the urge to shake his head at his own stupidity. And then he said wait what? All the comments he could have made, she's going to think he isn't interested....

The young man heard everything and gave Elayne's hand a tight squeeze to reassure her. Cai gulped hard, the prospect of enslavement in this manner causing his face to grow a bright red. This wasn't something he was expecting, but it was first thing first, down to business. "Is there no way to get these men back from the nightsisters?"

Then he stopped and thought for a moment. No he had to deal with this woman first. Shaking his head back and forth he said, "But first, Elayne..." his voice trailed off a little as he thought of what to say. He of course had been in relationships in the past, but this was something entirely different, something more akin to marriage if he was understanding correctly. "I..." he was flabbergasted. What would a holovid hero do? He'd probably marry the girl and ride off into the sunset, but this wasn't a holovid, this was real life. "We've only just met." Cai said softly, "And I can't stay on this planet forever, there are duties I must fulfill, vows I've taken. How would this situation even work? What if time does anything to ruin this relationship? Is there a way to split up? Do I end up a slave for good?" He didn't want to leave her, in their short time together he had come to care for her, but this? "Are you allowed to even leave the planet?" he thought about her earlier words about seeing her sister.

Elayne looked at him.. she knew it was alot to ask but she wanted him... " I am not asking you to stay on this planet forever... I want to go and see the galaxy with you... and of course I am allowed to leave... " She didn't know what to say... it was alot to throw at him.. and she had hoped to be able to just claim him and deal with it on her own time... now she might lose him forever. " I have faith that time won't ruin our relationship, and you will hardly be my slave in reality... just according to everyone else.... I love you, and I don't want you to leave me... Its just this is how I know how to do things... This is how my culture... deals with people they love. " She hugged him, tears streaming down her face She wasn't the strong elayne she normally was, she was the very emotional young girl that was behind that facade. " please say yes... I can't imagine seeing you with anyone else... or me with anyone else. I know its alot to ask.. we can figure out the specifics later... all you need to know is that I love you!" She said.. knowing she was sort of making a scene. She clung to him... not wanting him to say know, prepared to force him to stay.

No one had ever told Cai they loved him before. Well family, but that didn't count, it wasn't the same sort of thing. He examined her body language as best he could. She clearly was emotional, and clearly believed what she was saying, but love? His heart raced as she spoke and then began to cry. As a knee-jerk reaction he embraced her, pulling her into his chest. He rubbed his back reassuringly. What the hell am I doing? he thought to himself. "It's alright," he said in a soft voice, "I'm..." It was so much to take in at once, but the pause, the stumbled speech, wasn't doing him any favors. "I'm willing to try and make this work..." he said. finally. "If you are."

Elayne couldn't believe it.. she squealed and kissed him " Yes I am!" She practically screamed! " hear that Ina!!! He is willing to do it! " She looked at her ina.. clearly happy, still holding on to Cai as she kissed him in quick succession Elayne couldn't believe it... tonight... she was going to mark him... She was so happy, and estatic... She was crying for happiness now. She didn't know why or how she felt this way about him already.. but she knew that she loved him.. It was strange... that she felt this way about him.. but she did... She was happy... and wanted to take him then and there... as her emotions were so high..

The Witch fell quiet when she receieved no response from either of them. At first, she could see their faces which was enough to know that their conversation was private. Until she actually heard the man speak. He seemed surprised. As Satara had suspected. She walked a bit faster then, letting them speak to themselves. It was her condition that the man be informed of the process and Elayne was doing just that. Now she just had to wait on whether the man would accept it or not.

At last her daughter nearly screamed and called to her, declaring him willing. The scream though made a few more heads turn from the crowd gathered around the Jai's ship which wasn't too far now.

Satara returned to the two then, with a smile on her face. There was just one thing missing before she could begin. The woman looked at the Jai. "I will just need your full name before we can begin."

Cai looked at the woman and wondered what was about to happen. He heard the stories about witches and names and power and was curious about the ramifications of his action on a more esoteric level. Instead of contemplating though he spoke up, "My name is Cai Sanis." There was pause. "Of the echani."

Elayne waited with excitement.. she was about to have a mate... She couldn't wait. She looked to her Ina, waiting. It wasn't everyday that you got to claim a mate. Elayne couldn't wait to make him her's ... She was going to mark him so that he would know he was her's. It was strange that she was mating a foreigner.. and that she was going to let him leave but she knew he would be back, they both liked each other far too much.

cai Sanis of the Echani. A race Satara now knew about for many years, she did not need to question his origins. Just knowing that told her that Elayne had chosen a strong male, one of a culture not so different than theirs. She certainly could not deny such a union.

"Very well. We may begin then," she told them both and gathered her thoughts for a mere second before beginning. "It is by the teachings of Allya that we now stand here, knowing what we know. But it is our own strength that allows us to grow into what we are meant to be. Before me you stand, Elayne," her head turned to her daughter, a small motherly smile forming her face. "Mature and ready to claim a male as your own. To claim is to hold right over him. To claim is mark a sacred union that is recognized all around Dathomir and beyond. To claim is forever be connected with your mate unless you choose otherwise. Claim him now and is yours. No Witch will left unknowing to this fact. Do you claim Cai Sanis of the Echani clan to become your mate, your slave and by your union a member of the Singing Mountain clan?"

Satara paused then, after the long spech and the question, waiting for her response.

Elayne looked at Cai, and then at her Ina, She took a deep breath and wiped her eyes a bit " I do claim Cai Sanis to be my mate, I would have it no other way " She said, looking at him... She had never felt this way.. but she knew that he was meant to be hers. and she would so claim him to night.. there would be no doubt that he was hers, as she knew what she needed to do. She needed to show the galaxy that Cai Sanis belonged to her, and she would.

Her gaze turned to the young man then. "And do you, as a freeman, Cai Sanis of the Echani, accept this claim? Do you accept to belong to Elayne, lay with her, obey her and honor her and to raise daughters and son of Allya with her when the time comes for it?" The notion of asking a man to accept a claim was rare but as a freeman, Cai was given that chance to respond. That also made this ceremony a tad bit unique compared to other claiming rituations.
