 Stops Blasters: Plasma Based weapons and Blasters have a hard time penetrating through the powerful shielding surface.

 Small Diameter: The shield has a diameter of .66 of a meter, meaning it has a very limited area of protection.
 
 Sonic attacks: While it can do some good to break up the vibration pattern of sonic attacks, the vibrations still travel through, meaning it offers only a little protection.
 
 Radiation: It offers no protection from radiation. Radiation based weapons will pass straight through the shield.
 
 Heat and Cold: While it does a decent job at blocking the flames from fire, and can stop some of the attacks from a cryo-weapon, what it cannot do is protect from the intense temperature changes that would be caused when flames or cryo-blasts hit the shield. Cold weapons seem to sap the energy from the shield far faster as well.
 
 Acid: it does not seem capable of stopping any type of acid, as it seems to go straight through the shield.
 
 Power Cell: The Shield is power cell dependent. Over time the power cells will become drained, and have to be replaced, similar to a blaster.
 
 
	In the process of designing a multitude of miniaturized weapon systems, it became obvious an emergency defensive system would also be needed. Equally small, this system utilizes plasma in a way that is semi-similar to a lightsaber, without the deflecting portion. It's small in diameter, at .66 meters or just over two feet when deployed. The shield offers outstanding protection against blasters, lightsabers, and kinetic piercing attacks. It also offers some basic defense against electrical, fire attacks, and ion blasters.
The device is decently shielded from small, indirect EMP attacks, to keep the electrical components working. Still, anything to big could overload the system and require it to be reset. The shield offered little defense against sonic attacks, and attacks from cryo-weapons seemed to drain the internal power cells far quicker than normal. Radiation and acid also seemed to be completely ignored by the shield's plasma based system.
Over all, the shield offered a lot of defense, protecting its user from harm by a large amount of attacks. It was a must have piece of protective equipment, greatly increasing options.
