Chronicles Of The Force - Prologue (Doug)

It was time to go then. The decision was made. He allowed Doug to make his final goodbyes to his family before leading the group of former slaves to the spaceport. He would direct them, as well as Doug's parents, towards a shuttle, giving a nod toward one of his associates, before looking toward Doug.

"We make for Tython, then" He spoke toward the redhead. The two would board the Final Dragon and Josh would take a deep breath as the door closed behind them.

"Make yourself comfortable kid, but make sure to strap into a seat somewhere, because we're heading into hyperspace soon. We don't want any of the slavers friends following us" The Jedi remarked as he would peer into the cockpit. "R4! Set us on a course for Tython and jump to lightspeed!" He called toward the droid, who let out a few beeps in affirmative from the co-pilots area. Josh would strap into the pilot's seat and hit a few buttons and the ship would finally take off.

"Prepare for the journey of your life, kid! Your new life starts now!" Josh cheerfully called back toward Doug. "The couch has a strap if you're sitting on it! You'll need it when we jump to lightspeed!"

Doug had simply followed after Josh through the whole ordeal. The port was where he finally would split away from his parents as they were led onto a shuttle, where they'd be back home safe and sound. He would then leave with Josh towards a different ship, which apparently was called the "Final Dragon", but that part wasn't brought up with him.

Doug would look around the Final Dragon after the duo had boarded the ship and the Jedi started to pilot the ship along with some sort of droid. From what he had seen, the ship was awfully big, but he didn't really have time to explore all of it as he needed to take a seat before the speed jump occurred. Josh had pointed out a couch that he could sit on for the journey as there were straps on it.

Doug sat down on the couch and strapped himself in, taking a deep breath and bracing for the jump to lightspeed into hyperspace. It all still felt like a blur to him, but a lot really has happened in such a short period of time. He was going to be traveling to some distant planet to train to be a Jedi! Laser swords, mind powers, doing good deeds with such things, and probably more! It all sounded unreal to be happening to him of all people, but it was... He even had a new friend that was going to his trainer, Master, whatever it was called again. He started chuckling as the thoughts went through his mind. "Yeah... Heheh. New life indeed." He replied in a cheerful manner... And away they would go soon enough.

"Boo beep boo beep"

"Right, right, I meant Lothal. Sorry, R4" Josh would respond, biting his lip and frowning at the thought. Tython had been taken by the One Sith in his absence, he forgot. The Republic had failed in it's protection of the Jedi, and the Jedi had every right to separate from The Republic, especially considering the Senate's attempts to more or less enslave the Jedi to their own means. He let out a sigh... He couldn't get upset over that right now. Today's mission had been a success. And he had ended up with a Padawan, who was certainly going to be promising, he knew.

But the information he had procured disturbed him... He had a feeling that they would be at this for a long time. But for now, he knew that if Doug could train... They just might have a chance against these criminals.

He had a good feeling about this one.

As the Guardian class flew into the air and shot into space, Josh would strap himself into the pilot's seat, exhausted from the battle they had dealt with. The adrenaline finally wore off, and he was glad he could finally rest...

"Let's go!" Josh called, the warning to Doug that they were about to jump to lightspeed. And there they went... Lightspeed enclosed around them and there they went, on their way to Lothal.
