On an unnamed planet, located out in the far reaches of the Outer Rim, brooded a slave camp run by a Toydarian slaver by the name of Jwaiito. He had been taking people from the streets of planets all along the Outer Rim, planning to sell them for a profit on the slave market. Dark clouds hung overhead as a storm seemed to be coming...

But while this slave camp had managed to remain hidden for quite some time, it had not escaped the sights of Jedi Master Josh DragonsFlame. During his time as a member of the Silver Sanctum, DragonsFlame had found himself with a network of spies that had no problem with helping him in locating the hundreds of crime rings and slave rings that were scattered across the galaxy. Unfortunately for Jwaiito, his camp happened to be the next one on the list.

Meanwhile, Doug Starwind had come to the planet in order to rescue his family from the slavers. Little did he know, he was about to get involved in something much more than he had anticipated...

____________________________________________________________________________

The Final Dragon had landed on the planet hours ago. Josh knew where the camp was, and had decided to take it slow in order to arrive there at nightfall... He had planned a night time assault, to strike from the cover of darkness. Garbed in the brown cloak and robes that constituted a Jedi Master, hood covering his head, the Jedi Master made his way, on foot, toward the slave camp that was just a few miles away. He could already see it in the distance... Just up the hill now. His eyes were fierce, determined, as the Jedi Master marched toward the camp with purpose... They would never see him coming. Everything from his demeanor, his attitude, to the way he handled things.... Everything changed when it came to slavers. They were un-redeemable... He'd tried. No matter how many times they were arrested, they had it in their damn heads that they deserved to take people as objects, as property, as slaves... To sell and trade or make them do their bidding at risk of death, slapping collars on them like animals... It disgusted him. None of them would be leaving alive.

Of course, his main plan was to free the slaves trapped within, and unlock their slave collars. But this time, the slavers wouldn't be going to jail. When they did, he always met them again... And everytime he did, they used more ruthless means. Holding slaves by gunpoint, sometimes even just killing them outright when they knew they'd be arrested, out of spite. They cared nothing for human life, and they had destroyed his every attempt to be merciful and compassionate when it came to their ilk. The only way to save innocent lives now was to end wicked ones, in this case. His face, under the hood, carried no emotion.

But little did he know that this one mission would lead to something much bigger...

Another ship had landed on the planet hours prior as well. A ship full of those dirty slavers carrying what they dub as their "cargo" towards the camp. Little did they know, there was an extra guest aboard the ship... A redheaded man with a goal in mind. Douglas Starwind. His parents were at that camp and he was not going to let them be stuck there as if they were not people who have a right to live their own lives without being called property. Unfortunately, he had to bid his time or risk being taken himself, which left him stuck on his feet hitchhiking towards the camp in the dead of night long after the slavers had already left for said camp. The landscape of this planet was definitely different than the deserts he had grown accustomed to on his home planet of Tatooine... Ah, home... He hoped he would be able to return soon. He was not the biggest fan of the desert, but it was still what he called home.

His goal was a simple one. He had to get through the camp and find his parents. Any help he could get in succeeding with that objective, he would gladly accept. If he had to take any sort of physical action, he would do so without hesitation. His heart was pounding in his chest as he continued to make the long trek. Admittedly, he was kind of scared as these people, if one could even call them that, were cruel and heartless. Questions also rang through his mind as his steps crackled across the ground. Where would his parents be in the camp? Would he be able to get them out? Nonetheless, he had to at least try, even if he was not really sure of what he was getting himself into...

Completely unaware of the fact he had company, the Jedi Master would finish his walk as the entrance came into view. He had walked here, of course, because he knew that a speeder would draw attention. Funnily enough, this place actually wasn't all that far from the city he had docked in. How silly of them. Silly... Like spooky spooky skeleton level silly. The golden blonde hair shimmered in the moonlight somewhat beneath his hood, but his eyes didn't sparkle at all. They weren't filled with dread, like they had been in times past. Now, he was determined. His eyes were fierce, his expression was determined. He would not stop - he would not rest - he would not cease until the slaves were free. The slavers? If they ran, if they died, it didn't matter. If they attacked him, they would die. If they ran, he'd let them go, that was the least he could do as a Jedi. But if they attacked him, then there was naught he could do if he defended himself, and he cared rather little if these monsters died in the process in order to save innocents. Innocents with families and loved ones. Innocents with people depending on them, whose lives these monsters would easily throw away without a care in the world. He doubted these monsters had loving families of their own... Who could love someone who didn't value human life at all, enough to take people as slaves? To sell them, treat them like animals, like property? They probably valued any loved ones they had as disposable property as well. Disgusting.

Suddenly, he felt himself bumping into someone in the darkness. How had he not sensed them? What if it was a slaver? Quickly, the Jedi Master would grab his lightsaber from his belt, igniting the blue blade as it hummed in the air, staring down whoever man might be. Red, curly hair he had... Was he a slaver? Otherwise, what would a civilian be doing out in the middle of nowhere, on foot, so close to a slave camp?

Doug would find himself approaching the camp after what felt like several more hours of walking. Maybe that was an exaggeration, but he was feeling the burn in his legs. While it was kind of hard to see, he did see an entrance to what he presumed was the camp itself. He felt something was a bit off, though... Like someone was near him... He always did get these weird feelings sometimes. Maybe it was just all in his head?

Before he could even react, he felt someone bump into him and then a bright, blue light would ignite in front of him. It all happened so fast. His heart began to race even faster and his eyes widened. Did one of those dirtbags find him!? He quickly began to step back in a panic as he got a good look at the man, the bright light helping him actually see better. He had come face-to-face with a rather tall, blonde man wearing some interesting robes holding what appeared to be some sort of blue energy blade... A lightsaber if you will. The first thing that came to the redhead's mind was one simple question... Who was this guy?! Doug tried to get some words out of his mouth before the man possibly struck him. "W-Wait!" He managed to stammer at the tall stranger. "D... Don't hurt me!" He added on with less of a stammer, slowly coming to a stop as his panic began to reside a little and raising his hands up in front of his chest.

He wouldn't hurt the man unless he knew for sure, of course. Unlike some of the Jedi in the "Jedi Order", or the "Republic Jedi Order" as Josh more liked to call it when he wasn't cracking wise about the Jedi Order being more like a force user enslavement camp for the Republic then anything else... Josh wasn't one to kill first and ask questions later. If he potentially killed an innocent thinking them for a slaver, he'd never forgive himself.

But before he could ask anything, the man would beg for his life. Was he unarmed? No... This man wasn't a slaver, looking at him. But he had to be sure. The blonde wouldn't lower his blade, but he stepped forward toward the redhead, trying to get a good look at him.

"Who are you?" The Jedi would remark flatly. His reaction was harsh... As it should be. It just seemed too suspicious to not be cautious about.

Doug took a deep, relieved breath as the tower of a man would lower the blade, but then he was questioned about his identity... Man, the blonde sure had a harsh tone of voice.

He looked up at the blonde's face and tilted his head. "... My name?" He asked, but then he remembered the lightsaber was still out. He coughed a little before he would reply. "My name is Douglas. Douglas Starwind." He said. His voice sounded a little less panicked now as he seemed to regain his composure. He looked to the sides. "Can I ask who you are now, tall guy?" He then asked himself.

He got the man's name, but nothing else. The Jedi Master was getting ever so slightly irritated at that aspect. "Sir, thanks for your name, but before I can tell you who I am, I need to know -who- and -what- you are, and why you're out here in the middle of nowhere" Joshua would remark in response. Did he want to be harsh with the guy in the case he was innocent? No! But the fact he was right in front of a slaver camp, and didn't seem to belong to a faction... Well, that pointed toward him being a slaver. He had to know for sure.

He kept his blade lit and ready, in case the man would decide to attack. If Josh had cornered him, and he didn't want to be found out as a slaver... Well, they usually attacked by now.

Doug scratched the back of his head. Man, he always was pretty bad at conversations... It didn't help that he was talking to a stranger that was practically double his size holding a spooky energy blade. "Oh... Right! Sorry. Sorry. I-If you need to know more... My parents are moisture farmers of Tatooine... I help em out with the work in what ways I can along with some other things. They were captured by these freaks a while ago and I ended up stowing away on one of their ships... I think that that's where they might be. I need to get them out of there before something bad happens..." He started to explain with an awkward and sad tone, pointing towards the camp at the end of his explanation.

He thought his explanation sounded reasonable. At least as reasonable as he could get talking to a giant, kind of mean blonde. He glanced down. He was still wearing the robe-ish clothing that was common around where he lived on the desert planet he called home.

Well, he certainly didn't -sound- like a slaver. Was he a slaver? He wasn't really sure. But it was very likely, by the sound of the Tatooine and moisture farming, and the fact he recognized the garb as traditional Tatooine civilian clothing, that this kid was probably just a civilian. Finally, he would lower his blade and tilt his head. But that still didn't answer his question. Why the -hell- was this kid in the middle of nowhere, in front of a slave camp of all things?

"Well, you can't blame me for getting a little bit suspicious" The Jedi would remark, rolling his eyes. "I mean... Seriously. Do you know what this is right there? A slave camp. Know what they do when you walk near it? They will enslave you. Doesn't matter if you're just passing by" He explained. "If you're just a civilian and just out here and not a slaver... Town is that way" He added, pointing the way back to town. "It's not safe out here" He added. "Please head back"

He'd rather not have the kid get caught when the firing started.

Doug squinted his eyes. Apparently the blonde had missed the mention that his parents were in the camp! "Yeah. I know what that is, tall guy. That's why I'm going in there. You must have missed the part where I said that they have my parents!" He explained, his fist clenching and teeth grating as his tone slowly grew more angry. "They kidnapped them... Just... Just out of the blue. I was out doing something a little extra to help pay some bills... And when I got back, I saw them just taking them away... Well, point is that I have to do something! I can't just let them have my parents to treat them like they're not even people!" He further explained, his fist shaking a little with a hint of sadness in his voice.

Doug sighed... But then he looked up at the blonde and a twinkle appeared in his bright blue eye. He had an idea it seems... "Hey... I got a proposition for you. I presume you're going in there, right? With your glowing blade? Let me go in there with you... Maybe we could find my parents... And maybe help some others while we're at it." He proposed, his eyes sort of glancing off to the side and his arms crossing.

Unfortunately, in his efforts to get the kid back to safety before the blasters started firing everywhere, he -had - indeed missed the part about how Doug's family had been kidnapped, enslaved and brought all the way here. And this poor, low wage moisture farmer had found himself a way here just to try and save them. He was passionate about it, that was for sure. It was admirable, albeit foolish for someone like him to try and do this alone.

Still.... The kid had anger. In the end, it'd do nothing for him. But he had spirit. So he nodded.

"My name's Josh. I'm a Jedi. Was actually about to go liberate that camp anyway so... As for your offer... You any good with a blaster, kid?"

Doug felt a little relieved. The giant had finally revealed his own identity and agreed to let him assist in the effort, which it turns out the blonde had already been planning on doing anyways. It turns out that he was a Jedi. Doug had heard about them in passing before and that intrigued him.

He'd have to worry about his curiosity later, though, as he nodded to revelation of Josh's identity and to the question he was asked. "Suppose so. I have practiced shooting with them before." He would answer, scratching the back of his head and shrugging slightly.

"Shot with them before" wasn't really the answer he was looking for. Part of him was still tempted to tell the kid to go home and let him handle the slavers and save his parents for him. But he knew by now that this kid was -not- budging. He'd probably get himself killed, but... He wanted to go. Why not let him? Besides... He had a... Peculiar presence about him. Josh couldn't put his finger on it but it was as though the Force was with Doug...

He nodded a bit. "Alright" Josh responded as he withdrew his blade and began to walk toward the camp. "If they attack, hold nothing back. Jedi normally do the whole honor and mercy thing but... With these guys I tend to make an exception because when I do that, they turn around and murder the slaves out of spite. Douchebags, that" The Jedi would remark. "Don't hesitate. Shoot them immediately and shoot to kill. Am I clear?"

Doug tilted his head. This guy sure was a bit different than what he usually would have heard about those Jedi. He normally wasn't one to do something like this, but he felt like sparing them might end up putting his parents in more danger if what the blonde said was true, which it most likely was, so he had to relent with the clear order. He slowly nodded. "Alright..." He said. After all, the slavers probably would be trying to kill them anyways, so might as well actually defend yourself.

Doug reached to the side of his belt and surely enough, he actually had a blaster holstered. He slowly pulled it out and looked it over. Good thing he didn't leave it at home before he became a stowaway. He hoped luck would be on his side... Or something.

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"Don't get me wrong" Josh spoke, when he considered it might be wrong for a Jedi to be telling him to kill. "If they run, let them go. If they keep attacking, or run for reinforcements, shoot. Trust me, this is a massive exception for me. I've been going through these camps for months now, they always do the same thing. You try to give them mercy when they're still there, and then they turn around and take hostages. Or the more psychotic ones decide to just go crazy and start killing the slaves out of spite. I've seen too many innocent casualties because I was foolish enough to give these guys mercy, so... It's one or the other, y'know? If they run from the camp, they can't harm anyone. But if they stay.... Well, shoot them. It's the only way" He spoke, letting out a sigh. He didn't like the idea either. It made him sick to his stomach. But he understood that he had to protect innocent lives first and foremost. That was his job. "But most of all, just focus on defending yourself. This means nothing if you're dead" He would add as he would begin to head toward the entrance to the camp.

There were two guards guarding the entrance, and the Jedi would look over at Doug. "I'm going to go in first. I want you to cover me from cover and start firing at the guards the moment they raise their weapons. The distraction should be enough for me to dispatch them quickly" The Jedi would remark together Doug. "Any questions?"

[member="Douglas Starwind"]

Doug would listen to Josh's explanation and he nodded again with a deep breath. Just an exception. The tall blonde did seem a bit troubled over it himself, but one does have to defend themselves and the safety of others.

As Josh began to walk up towards the camp, Doug readied up his blaster. He could not think of anything to ask when he was asked abou any questions. "I don't think so... Shoot at them from cover when they prepare to attack you and then we go on in. Sounds simple enough." He would say, glancing to the sides again.

The Jedi Master would nod toward his response, and then motion to a bush nearby that Doug could hide in, hoping that Doug wouldn't make it obvious where he was going. He just hoped he could trust Doug to fire when needed. If not, this could be bad.

Josh would make his way toward the entrance, and one of the guards would hold up a hand to stop him. "Halt!" They would call out. "This is a restricted area, leave now, or suffer the consequences kid!"

The blonde haired Jedi Master didn't stop. Instead he just kept walking, his head and face hidden under his hood. But under it, his eyes were fierce... He wasn't stopping.

"Aw'right! I warned ya!" The guard would respond as they both pointed their weapons at the Jedi Master. Josh would raise a hand, but kept waking. There was Doug's signal to fire.

[member="Douglas Starwind"]

As he was ordered, Doug had discreetly gone towards the designated bush and hid behind it. Now to just play the waiting game.

He watched from behind the bush as the Jedi had simply just started walking up towards the gate and not taking any orders to halt his movement. He squinted his eyes and caught that Josh had raised his hand. He also noticed that the guards then began to raise their weapons at him. He realized that these were signals... The time was nigh! He held up the blaster and he focused his aim and two red laser shots would fire out towards the guards with a rather sharp accuracy... Almost too sharp... Nonetheless, it would appear that he may have gotten the guards and he stood up from behind the bush, flashing a thumbs up.

The first man would be shot and killed from the accurate shot by the redhead. The other man would be glanced by the shot, leaving him open for the Jedi Master to ignite his lightsaber once again and charge forward, quickly stabbing it into the man's gut and cupping his hand over his mouth so his screams in pain didn't alert the other guards. It was very out of character for Joshua to do things like this.... But he knew he didn't have much choice in this instance. Once both the guards were dead, Josh would motion Doug over.

"Alright, stick behind me. I'll go melee on this, and I want you to be my cover fire while we go through here. Can you do that?"

[member="Douglas Starwind"]

Doug twirled the gun around once. On the outside, he seemed cool, but he felt a bit uncomfortable on the inside doing this... But reminding himself in his thoughts that it was for the sake of his parents as well as it being against some rather savage individuals, he was able to calm himself down a little and feel more like he can bear with it.

He took a deep breath and walked up to Josh once he gave the motion to do so. He listened in as the blonde gave some more brief instructions and then he nodded when asked to be the cover fire while the blonde would continue using that lightsaber of his for melee combat. "Yeah... I got you covered." He simply said.
