The most important step is always the next one
Life Day. It was a holiday adopted by many across the Galaxy, its Wookie origins and significance mostly lost to time. But this year Life Day held a special meaning for the Mandalorian people. It had been some time since the Second Mandalorian Excision, a day burned into the Mandalorians’ minds, bodies, and spirits. A day like none other when fire and ash rained down on their homes, the earth shook their families apart, and the waves washed away their possessions.
Since then the Mandalorians had been tirelessly at work in an attempt to breathe life back into their desolate home. Efforts paused by the Civil War were redoubled under Mand’alor Yasha Cadera, and with life finally stabilized on Mandalore again the Mand’alor made the call. Not to war, but to work the land.
Across Mandalore the ash laid the groundwork for new farms, the floods created new fertile verdant floodplains and marshland, and the great quakes and upheaved earth laid bare new beskar lodes.
While the Mandalorian population was scattered and scarce, the Mand’alor hoped to entice both new and old clans alike to return home and rebuild the farms and ranches that fed the people and invest in Mandalorian industry once again.
The land was almost fresh, and though disputes over previously held land were bound to happen, there was more than enough for those that worked for it.
This Life Day the Mand’alor declared Gaanla Vhetin, Chosen Land.

Thank you for a great year Mandos! It's been a wild ride but we’ve made it through to 2019! While 2018 went great we thought it would be a great idea to engage you all, the members, more with the world of Mandalore. As one of our initiatives for 2019 we’re starting the “Chosen Land” initiative.
Chosen Land builds off of themes and story elements from the last year and a half of the Mandalorian story. With ecological damage mostly healed the population of Mandalore is still suffering from the events of the Second Mandalorian Excision and the Mandalorian Civil War. To combat this in a way that makes sense In-Character we are giving away location submissions that will aim to help members build their clan up in an organic and interesting way.
Staff will be keeping an eye on activity and contributions to the faction through December and January, our trial months. During this time several codex and factory submissions will be written and gifted to writers who’s work and contributions we deem exempliary. These could range from small companies and unique starships to full plots of land, military bases, or mines owned by you and your clan.
While you are always free to make your own codex entries, we hope these things will provide you an interesting way to interact with the faction and become an integral part of the Mandalorian ethos.
Are we just using Mandalore, or Concordia too? Would we, if asked, use another planet in our cloud for the reward location?
The plan is to fill out the Mandalore System with your lore. HOWEVER there are planets that have valuable resources and industries that Mandalorians should benefit from being at the top of the food chain in Mandalorian space. Requests would need to be reviewed.
This applies to all hexes and the SYSTEMS within them.

What requirements aside from ‘activity’ are required?
We will be looking at quality of posts (we don’t just want spam one liners to fill out your dom activity), Story Engagement (writing within the confines of the dominion stories/writing a consistent one if ByoO), Engagement With Others(being generally helpful/respectful and or actually writing with other Mandos), and Initiative (Authoring your own stories for your clans and houses outside of Dominions and staff made faction threads. Get out in the galaxy!)
