OUT-OF-CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a unit of warriors to serve the Sith Lord Servus Dolor as well as act as his own personal cult in service of the Sith Order.
  • Image Credit: The Art of Dragon Age: Inquisition Hardcover – Illustrated and this Reddit post
  • Role: While normally functioning as a bodyguard unit, the Choir will be deployed to carry out the will of Servus, being deployed as a full combat unit should they require a large force.
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: Servus Dolor
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Choir of Silence, individually referred to as "Brother", "Sister", etc.
  • Affiliation: The Sith Order, though they are personally loyal to Servus Dolor.
  • Classification: Infantry Unit, Made up of willing volunteers and brainwashed servants.
  • Description: As a Cult of the Dark Side, the Choir are religious zealots and will fight as such, rarely surrendering in combat. Ranged weapons are rather rare as the Cult relies on Sith Warblades and the few Cultisits who possess basic abilities in the force to carry the day. Members vary in the color of their robes with the newest recruits being clad in white while the highest ranked are clad in red.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Medium
  • Unit Availability: Uncommon, Rare for Cultists who are taught to use the force in a small capacity.
  • Unit Experience: Trained for the majority, Veteran for those who survive or can wield the force.
  • Equipment:
  • Combat Function: The Choir is usually deployed on its own on smaller-scale operations, usually with the intention of not being discovered. When they do participate in larger battles they have no issues fighting alongside other Sith units, often relying on them for heavier support in the form of vehicles and starships Most often, a Choir squad is made up of five Cultists, usually led by a veteran that processes an energy shield. Those Cultists who can use the force are trained to do so and are often placed in charge of several squads, typically leading the operation they are participating in if they are not part of a larger battle or Servus is present. The lower ranking units are always to attack first, either perishing to allow the higher ranked units to succeed or surviving and eventually advancing in rank. The highest rank members are those who protect Servus, often accompanying him in ceremonial duties though they are the most capable units and will be deployed in operations that are very delicate in nature.
  • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only):
Strengths:
  • For the Elder One!: Owing to religious fervor, the Choir will fight to the death for their master.
  • All for Power: Every member of the Choir has earned their place through battle and absolute loyalty.
  • The Faithful: The Choir will always be able to replace their losses given time, especially among those who fear and respect the power of the Dark Side.
Weaknesses:
  • Pawns: The Choir is, at the end of the day, an expendable force and no major effort will be made to save them should they fail or find themselves against a superior foe.
  • Mortals: The Choir are typically only average beings and therefore have no special resilience to average weaponry such as blasters, should their skills fail them they will most assuredly die.
  • Weakness of Flesh: The Choir, outside of basic transport vehicles, has no armored force and is reliant on other Sith resources to provide air support and a presence in space.
  • Will of the Elder One: If Servus is present in or in orbit of a world, he is able to directly control the minds of his followers to push them well beyond their limits, often killing them or breaking their minds so they are little more than husks of flesh.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
After Servus managed to regain a portion of his mind after years of wandering the wastes of Jaguada, he sought to make his return to the larger galaxy. He sought ultimate power, his own belief in his inevitable divinity was what drove him to seek out those who were worthy of worshipping him. From the humble few who aided in his escape from Jaguada, the Choir of Silence was born and as their master grew in power so did they grow in number. Servus was ultimately responsible for the organization name as the individual members would not speak for their "God", only Servus would determine the future as he became an avatar of his own divinity. Now the Choir resides in Sith space, protecting their master and awaiting his will which will ultimately bring them to the wider galaxy to herald their master's inevitable triumph.
