OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: A bacta aerosol releasing grenade.

  • Primary Source: Not Applicable
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Side-clip allows user to attach them easily to anything they wish to carry them on or in.
  • Rapid spinning during deployment ensures that the aerosol bacta compound gets a wide-spread and doesn't just spray onto the ground.
  • 360 degree opening also assists in this, so that no matter which direction the bacta is shooting it will go into the air in a wide pattern.
  • Relatively cheap, allowing customers to buy them in bulk.
STRENGTHS
  • Field Application: In extremely fast-paced, chaotic and unpredictable environments, whether that be one in active combat or some other scenario where a quick getaway is required. The Chiyu Bacta Grenade can get your patients on their feet again after a few moments of quick recovery, especially helpful when carrying them isn't an option, the Chiyu is a temporary but effective solution to what could potentially be an otherwise lethal problem.
  • Portable: Though not as small as conventional explosive grenades, the Chiyu can still be carried in large numbers in a backpack, utility belt, or whatever the user may have on their person. Needless to say the same could not be done with a bacta tank while even other medical field equipment could be clumsier and slower than simply using the Chiyu.
WEAKNESSES
  • Limited Supply: Due to its small size, the Chiyu Bacta Grenade has only a small supply of bacta within, capable of filling the air surrounding itself with bacta for a few moments at most, enough to begin healing any injuries within its vicinity, it is nevertheless a single-use tool and will run out bacta relatively quickly. Necessitating the use of another Chiyu if there are more injured that were not healed by the first grenade. It is recommended that multiple be brought on any dangerous activities.
DESCRIPTION
"When its life or death every second counts." One of the many NKMedical taglines used in the advertising of the Chiyu, it could certainly be described as an accurate statement for the most part. Able to barely fit into one's pocket, the Chiyu Bacta Grenade is best kept in a backpack, medkit or utility belt and in a high quantity if the user wishes to be prepared. Functioning the same as any ordinary--albeit more lethal grenade would, the Chiyu stores a condensed aerosol-variant of the galaxy-renowned bacta liquid which when the pin is pulled and the grenade thrown will begin to release its contents into the surrounding area, filling the air and covering any nearby organic beings with its healthy goodness. Hyper-condensed in-order to enact as much healing in as short a time as possible, the Chiyu may not be a permanent solution to one's problems, but it can certainly keep your friends walking until they get to a medcenter. Developed by Nakaioma Medical with some technical assistance from the explosives' experts at Nakaioma Defense Dynamics, the Chiyu has since become the subject of much debate over its somewhat inconvenient size compared to its practical health applications of which there are many, as is the nature of bacta itself.

Not a bad idea, but modifying the base template like this is unfortunately not permitted, see below for an excerpt from the Factory rules.

"The entire template must be used in your submission. Users can customize templates to their own personal liking, but the template's fields are not to be changed/removed/altered, additional information may be added but base fields may not be changed or removed."

There are several ways of getting this through with a bit of work, however.
  • Firstly, and somewhat suboptimally, you could use the Basic Technology template then add any fields you require; this should preferably be distinct from the "Explosive & Ordinance" template to avoid confusion.
  • As an alternative, you could keep "Health Output" as is but add "Damage Output: None" in front of it it. It would not, formally speaking, be a rating, so removing the colour/bold text might be a good choice. I would personally ditch "Health Output" for "Damage Output: None", but describe any additional features in the Special Features/Strengths, as you have already done.

Should be fixed, I thought using the explosive template would be more fitting as its a "grenade" of sorts. Changed it to the basic tech template.
