The once mighty warship Bellum Canis exited hyperspace on the very edge of the system that held Damascus Station, the reason why it exited so far out was because of the massive battle damage the ship was suffering from and Ira could feel all of it. Massive rends in the ship's armour exposing dozens of decks to the cold vacuum of space which Ira had tried to seal off to the best of his abilities, the many corridors of Bellum Canis where littered with the bodies of friend and foe in some places reaching chest height and as a result leaving anyone wanting to move have to wade through a sea of gore. So many had died in the battle if Ira had to guess at least two thirds of the crew had been killed and the rest had been wounded in one way or another none the less Ira was proud of the crew they had made the unknown enemy pay in blood ten fold for each deck they took eventually driving the enemy off the ship.
"Lieutenant Dawson If you can try and hail the station, tell them we need all the help we can get" Ira said.
"Yes sir" replied the comms officer.
Sadly Ira had some sad news he wanted to deliver to the Prophets
